Once Again, She Bears No Responsibility

Sarah Palin, in a desperate attempt to 'refudiate' what everyone with a sane mind knows to be true, tries to distance herself from the violent rhetoric of her 'campaign'. Of course, she does so by not talking to any media or taking any questions, just saying what she's been told to say and treating it like the gospel.

Out of the mouth of a fucktard:

"Acts of monstrous criminality stand on their own. They begin and end with the criminals who commit them, not collectively with all the citizens of a state, not with those who listen to talk radio, not with maps of swing districts used by both sides of the aisle, not by law abiding citizens who respectfully exercise their rights at campaign rallies...Journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence that they purport to condemn. That is reprehensible. There are those who claim political rhetoric is to blame for the despicable act of this deranged, apparently apolitical criminal. And they claim political debate has somehow gotten more heated just recently. But when was it less heated? Back in those calm days when political figures literally settled their differences with dueling pistols?"

Let's dissect, shall we?

She says these monstrous acts stand on their own, not with those who listen to talk radio.
But, when talk radio and Fox News report of taking up arms, or taking back the country by bullet, they bear some responsibility.

She says these monstrous acts stand on their own  not with maps of swing districts used by both sides of the aisle, although for the life of me, I can't think of any other candidate, much less one of the liberal side of the aisle, using crosshairs to designate their 'enemies' No, Palin, YOU did that.

She says these monstrous acts stand on their own, not by law abiding citizens who respectfully exercise their rights at campaign rallies. But why is there a need to bring a gun to a rally? If the intent of a rally is to garner support for a cause, why bring a gun? If you attend a rally hoping to speak out against what's being said, why do you need a gun? and, again, I am not seeing stories of liberal;s being armed in public.

She says the media is stirring this up, talking about how the debate has gotten more heated, and she asks when the debate was less heated. Well, I agree with her, the debate over political issues and policy, has always been heated, but it's rarely been armed--even back in the days of duels, both sides were armed--but it's rarely been violent. It's rarely been about reloading, and crosshairs, and taking the country by bullet. And, Palin, when someone shouts out in a crowd about killing Obama when he was running for president, and you say nothing, then you are, by your silence, agreeing with the shouters.

And the shooters.

Face it, Palin, your political career is the nosedive of its life, and I for one, cannot wait for the end of it. We'll be much better off without your violent rhetoric, your use of guns as metaphors, and your lack of utter responsibility in anything you do.

  1. Twitter is blowing up over Palin's use of the phrase "blood libel". I guess she's anti-Semitic, too.

  2. The perpetual victim.

RJ is right...the "blood libel" thing is proving to be yet another foot-in-mouth moment for Scarah. See what happens when you're stoopid? Stay in school, kids.

  4. Sadly, if you look on her facebook page comments, you will see people sticking up for her... and that's the scariest thing about it. This country is filled with idiots that see nothing wrong with any of it. And you are right when you say that it's not the liberals who are toting the guns, but the republicans who know no other way to debate than shooting something. She has blood all over her hands and it's a shame that she can't act a little more morose... she's too busy worrying about herself, which is what the republicans who support her do. We're all fucked.

  5. I'll do some refudiating with you, my friend!
Point 1: Monstrous acts do not stand on their own, especially with those mentally unstable. You and I and other rational people can watch/listen to Beck/Palin/RepubRhetoric and use our own reasoning abilities to say, "That's not right!" Or when we see nothing but violence all day on TV can set it aside and recognize it for what it is. That's one reason why Conservatives are more likely to carry guns and use them, they don't have the ability to reason. I even say a hate monger bklog site with a post that commented on how liberals don't shoot people, so they're sure to win if the "killin keeps a comin". So D@vid's point is also spot on.
Of course, she is right that both sides use maps, etc. But only her side uses gun targets and "killing" metaphors. Yes, the media does stir up things. It's called Fox news and all the wingnut commentators for Fox, coupled with all the hate/fear gabbing on talk radio, certainly does stir the pot. How hypocritical of the idiotic Ms P to say that the acts stand on their own out of one side of her mouth, and then say that the media stirs up hostility out of the other side of her mouth!
Yes, and with comments like these, which are really just veiled attack jabs at the liberal side, she shows how truly little she does care about what happened or what's going to happen as a result of it. I maintain that they are secretly thrilled about this and will use it as an excuse to say that the "people" have revolted against the "socialist agenda". But of course, we know that the Teabaggers are an invention of the Koch Brothers. Only teabaggers don't know for sure. They're too busy listening to PayPay , Beck, and that crowd.
Sorry for taking up so much space. :)

  7. She has failed to take responsibility for just about anything in her life, so I can't be shocked she is blaming everyone else for her hateful excuse for speech. I just keep hoping she will go away, but no matter what she does to prove she is worthless, her supporters are there protecting her, believing her excuses and rationalizations. I saddens me.
