The Pedophiles Are Inside The Churches

It’s been a while since we noted the child sexual abuse going on in our nation’s churches by our church leaders, teachers, and such, so let’s take a look, thanks to JoeMyGod, at the latest scandals …

ILLINOIS

Isaiah Mikkelson, who was a youth leader at Hope Lutheran Church in Quincy, was sentenced to 6 years each for two counts of criminal sexual abuse of a victim between 13 and 18 years old on church property.

FLORIDA

Harriet Sugg, a former teacher at an Orlando Christian private school, faces several charges of sexual activity with a minor, “Jane Doe”, who alleges Harriet Sugg started to sexually abuse her when she was 15 years old.

Robert William Austin, a Department of Corrections chaplain, was arrested on seven counts of transmission of harmful material to a minor, two counts of computer pornography, seducing, soliciting, luring, or enticing a child to engage in an illegal act, and one count of unlawful use of a 2-way communication device; Austin sent explicit messages to a “14-year-old girl,” who happened to be an undercover detective; Austin allegedly knew of the “juvenile’s” age but continued to send messages.

OHIO

Michael Zacharias, a former priest was sentenced to life in prison on two counts and 20 years on three counts. A federal jury found him guilty of five counts of sex trafficking, some of which involved minors. Zacharias used his position as a priest at Saint Michael the Archangel Parish to target victims and coerce them into sex acts.

NORTH CAROLINA

Daniel Jeremy Abraham, a teacher at a Christian school has been charged with indecent liberties with a student and sexual battery involving a student.

Ashley James Crouse, a pastor at a Caldwell County church is facing child sex charges after the execution of recent search warrants found him in possession of material depicting child exploitation.

MISSISSIPPI

Samuel Lamar Taylor, a minister at several churches throughout Rankin County, has been sentenced to life without parole after being convicted of one count of sexual battery and one count of gratification of lust concerning an 11-year-old autistic child.

MICHIGAN

After he was convicted of assaulting young boys as a Little League coach in North Carolina, Jonathan Russell relocated to Saginaw Township, Michigan where he now faces charges for allegedly assaulting numerous children by exploiting his position at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport.

Luis Mendoza, who served as a church youth leader, has been charged with multiple counts of criminal sex conduct, grooming and engaging sexually with a minor.

WISCONSIN

Anne Nelson-Koch, a former Tomah Baptist Academy teacher has been sentenced  to 10 years prison, 15 years supervised release for convictions on 25 counts of sexual assault, repeatedly forcing a 14-year-old student to engage in sex acts during school hours.

TEXAS

Corey White, a former youth pastor at Redeemer Midland, was arrested and charged with Access with Intent to View Child Sexual Abuse Materials.

And again, not one drag queen or gay person in the bunch, and two cases of child rape are in Don’t Say Gay and Ban Drag Sows Florida; makes one think Ronnie DeSantis is focusing on the wrong crowd in his state.

And it kinda makes it look like that whole GOP smear campaign about ‘gay people and drag queens are grooming children” is just a lie to cover-up for the real groomers … the so-called Men and Women of God.

  2. Churches have a lot to answer for in relation to covering up paedophiles. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-67425080 - one woman's fight to protect her child against paedophilia.

The pope and his boys already wear the glittery dresses and those cute slippers. I think you're onto something!

    2. It's just the Pope and his boys need to learn to keep their hands and their diclks to themselves.
      It's never been drag queens!

    3. They need to hire drag queens to replace the idiots they currently employ. Then everyone would be safe.

  6. The ones that bitch and complain the loudest about these issues are usually offenders of them. The church has no more right to tell anybody how to live or believe in the Bible when they don't even do it themselves the right way.

  7. I agree with the dog's mother - those poor children. One hopes they are getting the counselling and support they need.

    1. It takes a lot of counseling to come to grips with why a person you trust would violate you in such a way.

  9. I find it so ironic that the religious right is so quick to look for "groomers" when they need to look inside their own houses.

    1. It really is where the groomers live ... churches and such.

  10. Just because they believe in Jesus doesn't mean they're actually Christian.

    1. Most of them don't believe anyway they just use their "faith" as a weapon.

  11. You know their cognitive dissonance kicks in high gear whenever they hear these things, right? They need a scapegoat and by xist they'll find it: enter Drag Queens.

    1. They won't be finding a scapegoat when they get a 6" stiletto up their ass!!!!

Scratch that. They might enjoy it.

    2. I, too, think they'd enjoy it and probably already do!

  12. As a lifelong atheist, I must declare that my people tend not to be drawn to paedophilia so the common denominator here seems to be religion. Ergo - stop religion and you will probably stop sexual abuse of children - or greatly reduce it at least.

    1. I tend to agree; and I think these pedophiles use their churches and such as a hiding space AND a hunting ground.

  13. Your country is not the only one to have this problem and as far as I'm concerned it is the biggest reason to turn away from religion.

    1. Recent studies have shown that more people are turning away from organized religions.

  15. That's a significant number of years to be blogging. Long may you continue. I've just added you to my Blog Delights list with the main reason you are a good blogger and your mind is in the right place. Less important is that you are gay, but that too helps.
