I appreciate the last one - the sense that minor perceived misdemeanours by Democrats are viewed as heinous crimes by the GOP cult. Trump can deny the result of a properly conducted election and inspire a major insurrection and yet these things are as nothing compared with Hillary Clinton's e-mail etiquette.
Your blog title has not been more apt than with today's cartoons. (At least since I started following.) What a sad commentary on the state of affairs in the United States.
SCOTUS -- just another reminder of the damage inflicted on this great country of ours by the Orange Moron. Unfortunately, it will take decades to correct what he did.
Love them all. I not go cartoon by cartoon but let me leave everyone with this:
I was listening to Joy Reid on a live stream after her show on Friday night. Let's just say she was on a tear.
Joy espoused the importance of VOTING. To get off our asses and vote. She mentioned making a non-negotiable list of things that are important to you and pair that list to whom the candidates are in ALL elections that you can VOTE, participate in-local, primary, general... We have to take the gloves off. If the Republicans can be unified in their messaging, voting...then so can we. If they can play the long game then we will accept their challenge.
PS-There may be some good news about the 303 Creative case. You may be aware that the case was built on a lie. Without getting into the weeds-brought as a hypothetical, no harm done...-Neal Katyal-who argues before the Supreme Court regularly and just won a case he presented before the court-says the attorney general in Colorado should petition the Supreme Court and declare the ruling be thrown out. He states the facts of what we know so far are solid to do so.
I'd heard the website case was brought about as a lie, or a test, but that there is no real case there. Sad that our supreme court [I'll use lower case to describe this lower base court] didn't see that. And, as YOU know, I agree 100% with Joy. Vote in EVERY SINGLE ELECTION you can and you start to build a more democratic and less MAGAt system of legislators from the towns and cities to the states and the nation.
Bravo Bob !
ReplyDeleteAnother brilliant collection.
This SCOTUS we have now is the WORST ever as far as corruption goes.
And we have the people who stayed home from the polls in 2016 to thanks for that!
DeleteCast the VOTE!
ReplyDeletePREACH!!!
DeleteIt's a tie! Operation: Erase Black People and DeSantis 2024 are both seriously on point.
ReplyDeleteThe Erase Black People one is terrifying in its truth.
DeleteThey're all good ones this morning! Cartoonists are on their game!
ReplyDeleteIt's been quite the week.
DeleteThese are all genius… and on the mark.
ReplyDeleteSadly true.
DeleteOoh, I just noticed your gorgeous new header!
ReplyDeleteThat's one of my favorite pictures of The Great Tuxedo; he loved sitting up there with his monkey!

ReplyDeleteThe GOP is looking for anything to take Biden down but, unlike their Hair Furor, he's not a con man racist rapist traitor.

ReplyDeleteNot much to laugh at with these.

ReplyDeleteSCOTUS, especially the so-called conservative justices, need to be investigated because it sure looks like some grifting going on.

Interesting info from VRCooper. I'm sure there is an "Erase LGBTQ List" out there as well.
ReplyDeleteErasing everyone who isn't wealthy and white and male.
