I hate all this crap that America is going through. But I wonder if it's not for the better. Bringing all the bad out in the open is teaching today's kids that we don't tolerate bad behavior. Hope you and Carlos have a great 2018. Stay safe and warm, love you both.
I'm going to leave this here, Bob, because these cartoons are so very depressing even though true. I was fighting the urge to share this, and lost. My friend and I were sitting in front of the library, Friday afternoon. This little old guy wearing a turban and carrying a grocery bag walked up to us and started chatting. I must have been working my resting bitch face because he said he was going to make me happy. CAUTION ALERT!!! Anyway, he reached in his bag and pulled out one of those squishy plastic therapy balls and put it in my hand. It was hot pink and shaped like a little spiky teddy bear. I squeezed it and it squeaked, very loudly. I couldn't help but grin. He basically said "I told you so." Now he was a Sikh and seemed so much friendlier than my dog's vet, so I asked him what I said was a stupid question. I always wanted to know what the turbans were made of. I (silly me) thought they were like cloth bicycle helmets. He smiled and proceeded to unwrap the thing and take it off. Underneath it, he was sporting a topknot at the front of his head. Me, having no filter, said "I wasn't expecting that." I got a lesson on turbans, beards and love. He smiled the whole time and it made me happy. He said that love is only love if you don't expect anything back. All in all, there are good people out there, so keep looking. I got a squeaky toy that helps my hands and drives my little Cujo nuts, so, bonus!
depressing but true
ReplyDelete2017 sucked major ass because of the dump and all the GOPricks. but WE WILL get revenge in 2018!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping that 2018 will bring some changes to what's happening in Washington. The cartoons say it all!
ReplyDeleteSigh! The last one revives one of our dearest symbols of the 1960's. Obviously it's time to bring it back. Happy New Year, Bob!

ReplyDeleteI just can't take another year of Putin as President.
ReplyDelete@ Leanna Henderson I see your point, but many Americans are too stupid to remember and learn from the past. It's unfortunate.
And a HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU TWO BOYS!!!
