I saw this over at Joe.My.God. and needed to help spread the word. Stephen Fry is an openly gay British author, actor, and director, and he has something to say to the Catholic Church. It's long, but it's worth it.
The Intelligence² Debate - Stephen Fry (Unedited)
by Xrunner17
Bob - thanks very much for re-posting this: I wouldn't have missed it for anything!
ReplyDeleteI've reposted it again on It's Getting Better so that maybe a few more people can watch, listen and
learn.
Thanks again.
Stephen Fry is a joy to listen to. Worth every second as you said Bob.
ReplyDeleteI saw the whole Intelligence^2 debate. Loved Fry's scathing indictment of the church.
ReplyDeleteThe religious folks couldn't defend their way out of a paper bag.
Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteWhen he talked about 'what's past, is past', apparently the argument of a fellow preceding him - I thought what if the Catholic church hadn't murdered, tortured, burned, destroyed, stolen, extorted, traumatized, dominated all those people and cultures and children - what have we lost? We'll never know.
Damn right they should empty the big St. Paul's piggy bank and give it ALL back.
I love, love, love Stephen Fry and have since "Fry & Laurie" and "Jeeves and Wooster" and just any time I've seen him. This was wonderful!!! I'm posting it on my blog, too. Thanks!
