White House press secretary Robert Gibbs turned comedian when, during a press briefing, he held up his hand to reveal that he had written notes on his palm in black marker. Gibbs' move was a jab at The Quitter, who wroter some of her own notes on her hand when she spoke at the Mad Haters--and yes, I meant haters, not hatters--Tea Party.
Gibbs said he had made the notes in case he and his family are snowed in by the next storm headed for DC; he wrote "eggs" and "milk" and said that he'd written "bread" but crossed it out. A close up of the palm also revealed the words "hope" and "change," which Gibbs said he included "just in case I forgot that."
