SarahPAC Donates......To Sarah Palin

You gotta give it to Sarah Palin.

No one, and I mean no one, knows how to profit off her own success than Governor Quitter.

See, after The Quitter, well, quit, she formed her own PAC [Political Action Committee] to raise money for her favorite wingnut causes--perhaps an old folks home for aging ex-governor who couldn't finish their first term in office because it got too hard--or the asshat Repugnant candidates she likes.

And she raised quite a bit of change, too. And you just know she was gonna give money to any kind of abstinence program, like the one that helped her daughter, Brist--Oh, never mind. Anyway, she would find the most righteous, the most conservative, the best possible place to spend her PAC money so it would do the most good.

Like, on her book.

According to new FEC [Federal Election Commission] reports, The Quitter spent more of her PAC money buying up copies of her own work of fiction, "Going Rogue," than it did donating to any cause or candidate. SarahPAC--catchy name--spent $47,777 on copies of the book someone wrote for her during the last 6 month of 2009, and yet she handed out just $43K in donations to candidates seeking federal office.

The FEC says that the PAC bought the books directly from HarperCollins, Palin's publisher, to send to donors after they gave money to the PAC. It's kind of a Give me a bunch of money and I'll give you this handy-dandy doorstop with my picture on it!!

In addition, Palin has quite the entourage which is paid from SarahPAC, including 6 people who provide fundraising or communications consulting, 2 administrative workers--one Virginia where the PAC is based, and one in her home town of Wasilla--and she has spent hundreds on a photographer.

But the PAC saves the best for longtime Pailn supporters; spokesperson Meghan Stapleton was paid $54,000 for six months work in '09--again more than was given to any candidate or cause--and Jason Recher was paid $70,000 for six months of work. Palin also used the PAC to pay off a $65,000 debt to Clapp Peterson Van Flein Tiemessen Thorsness, an Anchorage-based law firm that represented her during the Troopergate scandal.

Still, while buying books and paying employees, and lawyers, Palin did manage to donate some money to Republican political candidates. Here is a list of some of the people Sarah Palin finds worthy of public office:

Congressman Tom Rooney, of Florida.
Congresswoman Jean Schmidt, of Ohio.
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, of Minnesota.
Congressman Roy Blunt, of Missouri.
Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn, of Tennessee.
Senator Tom Coburn, of Oklahoma.
Senator John Thune, of South Dakota.
Senator Richard Burr, of North Carolina.
Senator Orrin Hatch, of Utah.
Senator Chuck Grassley, of Iowa.
And, from the great :::cough cough::: state of South Carolina:
Senators Lindsey Graham and Jim DeMint.
Sarah Sarah Sarah.
Raise some money to pay your minions, buy your own book, and fund a gaggle of asshats.
Surprise!
