Paul Gosar, the Arizona RepubliQAnon Representative, nutjob
and friend and supporter of supremacists, whose siblings, all six of them, have
spoken out against him, is once again at the center of a firestorm.
On Sunday Gosar released a video of photoshopped clips
of an anime show called “Attack of the Titan,” depicting him killing Democrat Representative
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Yes, he did.
The video—which he captioned "Any anime fans out
there?"—opens with Gosar's name under Japanese text that reads
"attack of immigrants," and then goes on to show images of immigrants
at the border along with the words "drugs, crime, poverty, money, gangs,
violence" and "trafficking."
About halfway thought the video, Gosar’s face is
photoshopped onto that of “Titan” main character Eren Yaeger, holding swords in
both hands. The cartoon Gosar—not so very different than the, ahem, ”real life”
Gosar—scales a mountain alongside cartoon versions of Congressional Morons, Marjorie
Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, and murders a titan with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's
face photoshopped onto it.
Toward the end, Cartoon Gosar is shown leaping into the air
with his blades unsheathed moments before striking the photoshopped head of
President Joe Biden.
Yes, a member of Congress has created a video—because apparently
he has no job and nothing better to do—in which he assassinates AOC and
President Biden.
How is this not deemed a threat to the safety of the President
and a member of Congress? How is the GOP sitting on their hands, their mouths
closed, with this? Remember the Kathy Griffin photo, with her holding Thing 45’s
severed head? Remember the GOP going
ballistic and demanding her to be cancelled?
How is this any different.
A member of Congress created a video in which he murders two
members of the opposing party, and his own party says not a word because to
them this is acceptable. Of course, when you factor in the fact that the GOP
supported, aided and abetted an insurrection against this country, a little
cartoon murder is just another day at work.
Treat Gosar the same as you did Griffin; send the Secret
Service to investigate and put him on a No-Fly list for two months,
Fair is fair, though the GOP doesn’t get that. |
If this fragile little man worked ANYWHERE else, he'd be fired for harassment. In some places on the spot. We just had to do mandatory sexual harassment training. Mandatory.
ReplyDeleteThat this happens at the GOVERNMENT level is astounding.
But that's what passes as 'manly' in repug circles.
Shame!
XOXO
Gosar 🤮
ReplyDeleteBoebert & Greene 🤮🤮
The GOP wouldn't recognize "fair" even if it kicked them in the ______. Fill in the blank!
I am furious. Arrest that maniac immediately and throw away the key.
ReplyDelete@Six
ReplyDeleteThe GQP hypocrisy is just blatant and disgusting.

@Marcia
Nuts. Balls. Cojones.
@Krayolakris
I'm with you.
What Paul Goosestep, Lauren Bubblehead, Margarine Turning Green at al do not understand is that the US is a nation of immigrants. Even the native Americans immigrated from Mongolia when there was still a land bridge between Alaska and Russia (although of course the lands were not named thus then). We've got just as many illiterate idiots on this side of the pond and some of them have power beyond imagining.....unless you are Pretty Damn Awful (Home Secretary) and can imagine firing water cannons at overcrowded dinghies in order to get the tired and overwhelmed poor sods to turn round and return to France or perhaps drowned....but who cares? Not she.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!
ReplyDeleteCrazy!
xoxo :-)
I'm glad you made that connection to Kathy Griffin, it demonstrates just how damn hypocritical these loser's are.
ReplyDelete@Helen
ReplyDeleteThey don’t even see that THEY are descendants of immigrants, their hate is so strong.
@TDM
Sickening that this is not censured by the GOP.
@Dave
I feel, and felt, that Griffin was way outta line with her stunt, and so did the GOP … but they don’t feel the same way in the case of white nationalist Paul Gosar.
Forget about what is fair or not fair...What amazes me, not really-rhetorical-is the present lack of civility in our governing bodies...I love a spirited debate on policy, don't get me wrong...What has gone too far is the personal vitreal attacks...Yes, Republicans, I am looking at you...The blatant name-calling, disrespect for the office of the presidency...Let's Go, Brandon...It's all about power and NOT letting Uncle Joe have a win...It's not a win per se...It's a win for our country, the betterment of our citizenry...Many who oppose do support the initiatives...The American people, all stripes and parties, are clamoring for change to put them on firm footing...What we need is swift accountability...The Democrats should reach into their talent pool and have an outside group do their messaging for them...Just play whack a mole with all the stuff the Republicans are misinforming folks about...Nothing nasty just a barrage of truth over and over...A girl can hope...I am waiting and my coffee is getting cold...
ReplyDelete@Victor
ReplyDeleteI agree. MTG went after Republicans who voted for the infrastructure bill because it was a so-called win for Biden.
It's a good thing for America, but they don't get it. Their guy had four years for infrastructure and did nothing!
I just don’t get any of this. There seems to be no justice... or decency... or honesty. Aw shit and fuckity fuck fuck. I need Anne Marie.
ReplyDeleteHuh. And all Kathy Griffin did was hold a plastic bloody head.
ReplyDelete@ Mitchell. That's because there is absolutely no checks and balances in Congress anymore. No one is holding accountable and following up with iron fist anymore. Years ago, he would have been removed. It's sad really.
ReplyDeleteHow dumb can one be to release such a film even after many on that side were accused of helping the insurrection?
I never understood the attempt to kill Kathy Griffin's career. She's a comedian. She's funny. Now I don't understand not trying to kill this guy's career. He's not a comedian. He's not funny. He's just stupid.
ReplyDeleteLove,
