  2. I never have ordered anything from Amazon...and not about to start.

I'm leery of ordering online anyhow. It's very rare.

  3. @Sooo-this-is-me is right; Amazon are appalling employers. Not only are they treated worse than animals at work but the pay is derogatory. Plus the state has to provide ambulances at their warehouses to take people literally sickened by their work to hospitals Amazon pays not one jot towards, because they are registered as a company in Outer Mongolia or somewhere. All countries across the world should band together to tax these tech companies at a fair rate. But that doesn't happen because der Trumpenfuhrer is too busy rubbing his nose in the dust in front of these men who can buy him too many times over to count.

I do my best not to buy from them, but it is difficult as my weakness (apart from chocolate) is books and they bought up my favourite second hand book site.

  4. I read about Amazon cutting the ‘extra’ pay they were giving and I was like whoa. Then I learned it was like $2 an hour and decided not to buy stuff from them anymore. Really. The level of greed of Bezos and his investors is STAGGERING.
And I’m with Maddie. I very seldom buy anything online. I do all my shopping in person.
Ugh filthy rich people and their greed.

    XoXo

  5. And I’ll just add, don’t buy from Ikea. They’re rapidly destroying what’s left of old growth forests in Eastern Europe (and for other reasons). Amazon sounds like a real sweatshop.

  7. Here here Helen!!!!! What a shame about your second hand book online shop. There are books I want, and like you said, they have them, but I'll go without before ordering from them. I will go to my little bookshop in Philly, where they can order something in for me first. At least while they are still making it.
