President Daddy and His Spoiled Little Girl

Remember the time that Sasha Obama couldn’t find her favorite skirt at The Gap and the President of the United States took to Twitter to bash the retailer?

Oh you don’t remember? Maybe it’s because that only happens in a _____ White House and only when Hair Furor’s favorite thing in the world, the daughter he’d date if he wasn’t her Daddy, Ivanka, gets burned by a department store.

Yup, _____ took to social media, both as himself and, insanely, as @POTUS, to trash the Nordstrom department store chain because it dropped Ivanka’s line of overpriced, made anywhere but in America accessories and clothing line.

You know, cuz that’s what presidents do.

Six days after Nordstrom announced that, based on sales ... which were falling faster than _____’s dismal approval numbers, the chain would no longer carry Ivanka merchandise.

Of course, this is just business, you know; if a line of overpriced crap doesn’t sell, you stop selling the overpriced crap, but it didn’t stop _____ supporters call for a boycott of the stores or stop the President-For-Now from going all aTwitter from both his personal account and his official White House account:
“My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person -- always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!
Seriously. With the Hate Agenda he’s trying to push forward, with all the racists and oil men and asshats and swamp dwellers and uneducated educators he wants to put in charge, Hair Furor has time to whine because his Baby Girl lost an account or two .... three .... four .... five ... Yup, in addition to Nordstrom, retailers T. J. Maxx and Marshalls, and Neiman Marcus have also dumped Ivanka’s crap.

Sean Spicer, who must lay awake nights trying to find ways to spin _____’s lunacy into something coherent [Note to Sean: you’ll never be able to do it.] said the president’s tweet was not about business but about “an attack on his daughter”:
“For people to take out their concern about his actions, or his executive orders, on members of his family, he has every right to stand up for his family.”
Um, Sean? Think again; it wasn’t an attack on Ivanka, it was a business deciding, as they have a right to, what kinds of things they will sell and opting to stop selling the items that don’t sell, i.e. Ivanka’s overpriced, made-overseas crap.

But, maybe, maybe, Nordstrom’s decision was also based on policy, because after _____ imposed his Muslim Ban, barring just Muslims from seven countries from entering the United States, Nordstrom told its employees it values immigrants and offered support to those affected by the executive order.

But, Nordstrom also made it clear to everyone, except the dim bulbs with thin skins in DC that it pulled Ivanka’s merchandise because of declining sales and that they had told Ivanka last month about it:
“Over the past year, and particularly in the last half of 2016, sales of the brand have steadily declined to the point where it didn’t make good business sense for us to continue with the line for now.”
Bye Felicia, er, Ivanka.

And it gets better ... last week, T.J. Maxx and Marshalls stores told their employees — a copy of the statement was obtained by The New York Times — to throw away signs for Ivanka _____ products and move her clothing line to the sales racks:
“Effective immediately, please remove all Ivanka _____ merchandise from features” and “all Ivanka _____ signs should be discarded.”

Neiman Marcus recently stopped selling Ivanka’s jewelry and accessories line though, for now, her clothes are still sold at Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s.

And so cue the ALLEGED backlash ... Breitbart News—news for White Nationalists—say the decision to drop Ivanka has sparked calls for a boycott of the store and a request for consumers to cut up their Nordstrom’s cards.

Breitbart claims Nordstrom’s is misleading the public as to why they dropped Ivanka, though even if these retailers ended their association with her because her father is an out-of-control tyrant isn’t that their right as a business?

One loon, who obviously is a Breitbart White Nationalist, is Brad Botwin who says:
“I am a long time Nordstrom customer and exclusively purchase my suits, shirts and ties at Nordstrom. No longer because of their punitive and political act to drop Ivanka Trump’s clothing line. I have also e-mailed Nordstrom to drop me from their special email list of events and other messages. If this organization doesn’t have the backbone to stand up to the unfair left wing pressure against Ivanka Trump, I shudder to think what next they will cave on next. Decisions like this erode the freedoms and liberty of all Americans.”
The freedoms and liberties of all Americans including businesses who have the right to do business as they choose, but nutjobs like this guy think it’s all so unfair because President-For-Now is pissy and that’s not right.

Um, yes it is, but what isn’t right, and is ridiculous, is for the man who is President-For-Now to use his official White House social media account to blast an American business because it upset his little girl.

I gotta go. I got my new Nordstrom card and I am goanna spend spend spend.

  3. She is after all a big girl....can't she fight her own battles??? I work for Bloomingdales, which is owned by Macys Inc, and our stores stopped selling her crap some time ago. And Macys dumped her shot and the old mans. I believe what's left is only online now. Besides, how important does she care. She stepped down as owner so she could be in DC. And she should remember in fashion. One day your in, the next your out.

That's what pisses me off; she needs to tell Daddy to sit the eff down!

    @MM
That last line could apply to her Daddy, too.

Yes, we need to continue to #resist.
Yet when one gets weary of the corruption, greed etc of the current occupant/squatter, please do yourself a favor and view Pete Souza Instagram photos. Pete Souza was WH/Pres Obama's official photographer for 8 years (and he does a grand job of telling the story). This Instagram is new since Pres Obama left office but he digs into the archives as well as providing current.
His photos are uplifting and truly outline what we lost when the Obamas completed their tenure in the WH. The stark contrast between Pres Obama's grace and intelligence to the current asshat is overwhelming to say the least.
The photos give oneself a renewed conviction to continue to resist. We had great and will not accept greed.
