Ashley v Sarah

I first mentioned this here but now the squabble grows.

Here's the gist:

Ashly Judd made a video condemning Sarah Palin for her support of aerial wolf hunting.

There now. Caught up?

Now Palin is fighting back. She calls the group for whom Judd filmed the video, the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, an “extreme fringe group.”

Really Sarah? So, caring about the animals on this planet, worrying about the senseless slaughter of animals from airplanes, is an extreme idea? I thought it was compassion for all living things. Hmmmmm, maybe I'm wrong.

Then Sarah said this, after moving her foot from one side of her mouth to the other: “Alaskans depend on wildlife for food and cultural practices which can’t be sustained when predators are allowed to decimate moose and caribou populations.....Shame on the Defenders of Wildlife for twisting the truth in an effort to raise funds from innocent and hard-pressed Americans struggling with these rough economic times.”

Cultural practices? I realize it may be a cultural practice for native people of Alaska, because they hunt the same animals for food as the wolves, but I don't think the native people of Alaska ever used an airplane to hunt.

So, Sarah, come clean. It is not the culture of the people of Alaska to murder animals from the safety of an airplane. It's murder for sport. Or for $150 bounty Palin will give them for turning in the leg of a murdered wolf. Some culture you got workin' for ya up there, Sarah.

And this could have been vice president?

I just watched a portion of The View--I loves me some Whoopi/Joy--and that idiot Elisadumb Has-no-back was saying that she thinks Ashley Judd would have been better off doing a PSA about abortion.
Huh? What? Huh?
Comparing the senseless slaughter of animals for profit, to a woman's right to choose what she wants to do with her own body?
It's Republican Repugnance.
