I am eternally grateful that guns are very rare in Great Britain. Currently, I do not know anybody who owns a gun or has ever owned one. I have only ever seen guns for sale in one shop in Sheffield and that shop specialises in field sports. To get one there is a lot of rigmarole including a thorough police check, references, proof of identity and usually a home visit to make sure there is a suitable lockable cabinet in which to house the gun.
Captain Bone Spurs is a great new nickname for #45. Why don't the MAGA mob recognise that they are rooting for a lowdown draft dodger?
Such a sad, sad statement ... there is no "funny" in any of these! I think 🤔 we all need more laughs, not more tears ðŸ˜! I am curious as to what goes through your mind as you seek out these Sunday so-called "funnies" ... I can't believe you are laughing!!
🤯😢 School shootings are horrific! Mass shootings are horrific! All shootings are horrific! Allow me to ruin your day by reminding you that we are ahead of the curve on mass shootings (4 or more people killed or injured not including shooter) for this year! There have been 3 in this country just since the GA school shooting! And, of course, several times a day people are injured or killed in shootings that are not mass! Sometimes I think right-wing politicians appreciate all the media attention on school shootings because it masks the actual numbers happening all the time! The "Gun Violence Archive" can take you on a difficult journey if you feel you are ready! 🤬
It’s truly sick that one of my first thoughts when I read about mobile phones not being permitted in schools was “But how will the kids phone their parents?” But let’s ban books.
Let them keep their phones in school, and teach when it appropriate to use a phone, and when it is not. I knew parents who received those phone calls from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, from sons hiding under desks as friends died in the next room.
