Interesting batch this morning. The one on Ohmar represents so much. Conservatives have always been the cancel culture, trying to shut down everything they don't like.
My cardiologist wears a turban. He is Sikh. And I suspect that here in Abilene, TX (the 3rd most conservative city in the state) he even has a bunch of maga-ites who trust him with their lives. Go figure.
Many nice, thought-provoking ones this week, sir. Times just seem to be going in the wrong direction. Used to be able to go to Florida to enjoy some time away, but it’s getting too dangerous.
In the 60s & 70s, despite all of the stresses of a fledgling gay rights movements, including the infighting; along with protesting the Vietnam slaughter-for-old men's pride - I thought there was hope for racial peace and equality for women, races, and all the rest. But to quote Yogi Berra: "It's deja vu all over again."
Love that first one. And the third one... ouch. I don't think what happened with Southwest Airlines was completely their fault. Weather was a mess, and there is a pilot shortage. I think they acted responsibly. Granted, full refunds and perks should have been given right away. So shame there, I guess. Thanks for collecting these. Strange how a cartoon can completely capture an issue.
Some powerful ones this morning, Bob!
ReplyDeletet's been an interesting week on so many fronts.

ReplyDeleteBrown skin + Turban = GOP fear mongering.
DeleteIt's amazing how much Omar scares them
ReplyDeleteThe woman wears a turban!!! How dare she!!!

DeleteIgnorance.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the Stand Your Ground No Permit Open Carry folks start shooting each other. Thin that herd!
DeleteAs always a great collection
ReplyDeleteRounding 'em up is easy, whittling them down to 10 or 15 is hard work because so many good ones didn't make it.
DeleteThe t____ balloon!
ReplyDeletexoxo :-)
Well, since Thing 45 made millions from China while in office, it's no stretchy to think of him as a spy.
DeleteGun nutz! Clever.
ReplyDeleteTrue dat!
DeleteOh, so THAT'S how Tucker got his name.
ReplyDeleteMakes sense to me.
Perfect sense, and it's what I call him today!
DeleteUf. Some seriously powerful ones today. The simple black and white MOM MOM MOM gave me a shiver.
ReplyDeletePainful because it's true.
DeleteThe first three nailed it. Now it's a shame Biden can't shoot the rest down like that balloon! Or at least have concrete shoes made for them.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the footwear!
DeleteThat last one is powerful, as was the "Mom!" one.
ReplyDeleteThe Mom one breaks my heart because I saw parts of the video and heard Tyre call out for his Mom.
DeleteTook me a while to get the gun nuts one. :) These are hard-hitting but thought-provoking. And several of them made me furious.
ReplyDeleteHold on to that fury and remember it when it's time to vote.

ReplyDeleteSad to say, history repeats., especially when we learn nothing the first time around.
DeleteYes. xoxo
ReplyDeleteYes AND Oh no!
Deletexoxo
It seems these have more tears associated with them than humour. Sad times we live in.
ReplyDeleteTruth; hopefully one day the crazy will fade away and some humor can come back.
