I Didn't Say It ...

President Biden, on the suicide of Nex Benedict, after being bullied:

“Jill and I are heartbroken by the recent loss of Nex Benedict. Every young person deserves to have the fundamental right and freedom to be who they are, and feel safe and supported at school and in their communities. Nex Benedict, a kid who just wanted to be accepted, should still be here with us today. Nonbinary and transgender people are some of the bravest Americans I know. But nobody should have to be brave just to be themselves.

In memory of Nex, we must all recommit to our work to end discrimination and address the suicide crisis impacting too many nonbinary and transgender children. Bullying is hurtful and cruel, and no one should face the bullying that Nex did. Parents and schools must take reports of bullying seriously.

My prayers are with Nex’s family, friends, and all who loved them – and to all LGBTQI+ Americans for whom this tragedy feels so personal, know this: I will always have your back.”

Once again Joe Biden stands with and for the LGBTQ+ community.

That’s my President.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., on thinking about choosing football player Aaron Rogers as his VP:

“He’s stood up. He’s been hammered by the press, stood up for things we believe in. I like that part of his character. He’s a critical thinker and I think we need that at the time as you know the rise of A.I. We need people who understand that you cannot always trust authority just because somebody’s in charge. It doesn’t mean that they’re telling you the truth and we want somebody who’s going to critically examine. My father used to say one of the duties of living as a citizen of democracy is to maintain a constant posture of skepticism toward authority. And I think Aaron’s shown that. He’s also somebody who I think will help me get the country healthy again. You know, he’s 40 years old. He’s focused on his own health. He’s very aware of health issues. And you know, that’s one of the things I’m going to—that’s one of the key parts of my agenda is to get the country healthy again.”

Wait, RFK Jr, an embarrassment to his father and family, says “you cannot always trust authority just because somebody’s in charge” and wants a football player in charge mainly because he’s also an anti-vaxxer?

Fuck all the way off.

Pete Buttigieg, Transportation Secretary, on Katie Britt, her blatant lies, and the GOP's refusal to take on border security:

“I’ll leave it to her to explain the falsehoods, but I think it illustrates the bigger issue. She’s a United States senator and the United States Senate right now could be acting to help secure the southern border. We have a very clear choice between congressional Republicans who seem to prefer that this issue remain bad so that they can attack the president over it and those who would actually like to solve it or at least improve it and address it. Will 2024 go down in history is yet another failed attempt with bipartisan compromise or will congressional Republicans follow the lead of their own negotiators and the President of the United States and actually do something about it?”

The GOP trots out the border “issue” every single election cycle and then conveniently forgets about it after the election is over.

They don’t want to fix the border; they simply want to use the fear tactics of an alleged border crisis to remain in power. Vote them out and see some real change on the border.

Mike Lindell, the My Pillow wacknut, speaking again  about the 2020 election:

“We’re able to add new evidence that just came about three months ago. This evidence is more explosive than any evidence I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot. This is gonna shock the world on Thursday, and it’s—Lou, I’ve never been more optimistic and excited. I really believe these Supreme Court justices—they have grandchildren, children, they have families and they have neighbors, and they see the destruction of our country. Just like they made the 9-0 vote for the Constitution with the Colorado case, keeping our great, real president on the ballot, I believe if they accept this, this evidence is so explosive that it’ll have to be another 9-0 vote.”

Remember, yesterday was Thursday and there was no explosion of news about 2020; just Lindell and explosive diarrhea of the mouth.

Julie Von Haefen, North Carolina Democrat Representative, on Kate Britt’s special brand of crazy:

“Katie Britt said that women are up at 2AM worrying about finishing chores and getting dinner on the table. I think women in this country are up at 2AM worrying about how their rights and the rights of their daughters are being ripped away by the likes of Katie Britt.”

Be a Julie and vote the Katie’s out of office.

Hakeem Jeffries, House Minority Leader, on the GOP and the State of the Union speech:

“That was an embarrassment last night. A complete embarrassment. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who’s basically running the Republican conference, shows up in campaign paraphernalia, and then these people want to lecture Joe Biden because he delivered a strong and forceful speech that made them uncomfortable because he exposed their lies and shamelessness? We have one message for extreme MAGA Republicans who want to lecture us about decorum: Get lost; you’re a joke. Exhibit A: Marjorie Taylor Greene. Exhibit B: George Santos.”

Add in Boebert, Gaetz, Johnson, Scalise, Stefanik, et al. Lunatics and losers and liars, all.

  2. RFK, Jr. is mentally ill... a football player? Lindell needs to be selling pencils on a street corner. And, Jeffries is soooo correct. MTG so desperately wants to be the one calling the shots.

  4. I have to write about Nex Benedict. Really.
And Kennedy is a con man (just like Aaron) and birds of a feather...
I love Pete Buttigieg. He's going to be president one day.

    1. We need to keep reminding people that the Right is responsible for the bullying of LGBTQ+ youth. The blood is on their hands.

Pete will be president and I want to be able to cast my vote for him ... again ... since I did in 2020.

  5. When did Joe Biden dye his hair lilac-purple? It's kind of cool. Why don't you do the same Bob? It matches Hakeem Jeffries's necktie. The purple is far more stylish than that other guy's orange.

I want Pete to run for President again while I am still alive! I'm 80, so there's still time!

  9. I'm very conscious about my health (mainly because I'm falling apart at the seams) but I am not fit to manage a government department. I don't have the necessary skills and I bet some American football player has even less in the way of the necessary skills than I do and I bet I have more brain cells too.

PS if Donald Duck really is president right now, how come he's on the ballot? I thought you could only serve 2 terms.

😚😚 OMG!! That Buttigieg First Family is gonna be the cutest in history!! On the other side of politics: RFK, Jr. doesn't have the right to use his father's legacy...the entire Kennedy clan has disowned him for good reason!! The Kennedy/Rogers ticket, though, actually makes a lot of sense...in Bizarro world!! And, I am loathe to admit that I have started to move toward a modicum of sympathy for Mike Lindell. What it must be like to have a life so completely pathetic that you only have the next ridiculous lie to to help you get up in the morning! No human, however much they are responsible for their own condition, should live like that! 🥺 OK, sympathy over...😎 Cool Joe Rocks!! 🤘

Oh, if only we had Pete running for President in 2024. Joe ain't bad, but we need to be cognizant we need younger, vibrant candidates to carry us past the next 4 years...and I'm almost 74! RFK Jr has lost all credibility anyone in the Kennedy family built. Please put him in the same boat with Katie, MTG, Boebert, Santos, hell, we need the ark! And then, sink it!

  13. Your line..."Issues every single election cycle and then conveniently forgets about it after the election is over."

That's my problem with politicians they keep holding the same issues over our heads...from higher wages, abortion issues, gun issues, healthcare....and yet nothing gets done....because they will pull the same old issue out again next election. It's getting tired.

Speaker Mike Johnson had a West Viginia retreat for the repugs and no one showed up, wonder why?
Perhaps Uncle Tom and Auntie Dearest Ginni can give him a few tips on insurrection planning, while the Stepford Sisters, Swee' Amy and Brittle Katie, can help Mikey find new ways to
keep more Americans in their place. Mr Pillow Lindell can show off his new pillowcase, that repugs can use to put over their heads and suffocate themselves, when their Trumpenführer finally goes to prison and realize they have destroyed the republicon party and the so-called conservative movement. -Rj
