Good News: Kassidy Peters Gives Up Job Her Mommy Got For Her

Kassidy Peters, the daughter of South Dakota ReTHUGlican Governor Kristi Noem will relinquish her real estate appraiser license and leave the industry by the end of the year because … too many people are questioning how she got her license.

You see, in early 2020 Kassidy Peters applied for an appraiser license and was denied. Then, in June 2020,Kassidy’s mommy, Kristi Noem, took Kassidy to a private meeting with Sherry Bren, who leads the state’s appraiser certification program, and South Dakota Labor Secretary Marcia Hultman, and lo and behold, suddenly Kassidy was licensed. The following week, Hultman asked for Sherry Bren’s resignation.

Nothing to see here, and though no one knows what transpired at that July 2020 meeting, Kristi Noem swears her goal was only to make the process of obtaining n appraiser’s license more equitable, and added:

“I never once asked for special treatment for Kassidy. She is my daughter and I’m proud of her. I raised her to accomplish things on her own.”

Well, except Kassidy didn’t accomplish it on her own; she accomplished it when mommy had a meeting, and Kristi Noem never once called the process of obtaining an appraiser’s license inequitable until her daughter was denied.

If it smells like a typical lying, cheating, bullying ReTHUGlican helping the self-entitled demon spawn of their loins, then that’s what it is, so, Kassidy, hon, save you righteous indignation for the people who buy your story.

Rational people do not.

Good luck in the job hunt, but keep mommy out of the process this time?

  1. Well, nepotism is ingrained in the Rethuglyclown DNA. Her mommy did the 'do you know who I am?' routine and she got the license. Hope her reputation is now tarnished forever. I hope her mommy is found guilty of a more grave offence and is ruined. You know, I always wish the Repugs what they deserve.

    XOXO

  6. Now hold on Bob! Rich young privileged white women have it tough. Super tough. We have to cut them all a break. They are too busy staring at their WWKD bracelets (What Would Karen Do?) to actually accomplish jack sh*t on their own. That's what PARENTS are for! Don't you know anything? Besides... keep in mind - those rich young privileged white women have to put up with and eventually marry rich young privileged white men - so, yes... cry them a river, Bob!

    I’d like to see them shunned and shamed and run out of town on a rail.

    @Helen
    I’m sure mommy will help her with her next job, and they’ll be better at hiding mommy’s help.

    Kassidy’s indignation is hilarious. She talks about being ruined because of this. Puh-lease.

  9. Can we just do away with the states regulating professions? Create national licensing standards? And vigorous enforcement?

  10. And people wonder how white privilege works! Usually it's not THIS obvious, but people in high places help other people they know and have ties with -- and often that works along racial lines.
