The Beeb had that quote and I just about laughed myself sick, cos of course tons of water coming down on an 800 year old building is a wonderful idea! It would have split half the stonework (if not more) into tiny shards flying out at anyone nearby, not to mention hitting other buildings in the vicinity. And where was the water to come from? Hardly from the Seine; no, it would mean a flight to the busiest channel of water in the world and scooping up boats no doubt from there!
At least "that man" pronounced Notre Dame correctly-ish. Unlike the ABC reporter David Wright calling it "Notre Damn", repeatedly :rolleyes: I mean even college football players know how to say it...
