To the man ...
... who, when he realized I wasn't interested in catching a baseball or throwing a football, simply said, "Let's go to an art show."
... who, when I announced that I was gay, simply said, "I love you very much."
... who, when dropping me off at the airport as I moved 3,000 miles from home and family to be with Carlos, simply said, "Be happy."
... who, when Carlos and I told him we wanted to change our wedding location from New York to Washington state so he could be there, simply said, "Fantastic."
Happy Father's Day to a man of few words, but who speaks volumes.

Hey Bob, sure thing... Happy Father's Day! ^_^
ReplyDeletexooxoxoxox to your Dad! :-)
ReplyDeleteyour dad is a keeper, and you look like him.
ReplyDeleteThose of us who got lucky and have good Dads should never take it for granted. You are definitely one of the very lucky ones! XX
ReplyDeleteGreat picture, Bob. Your Dad is one of the reasons you're such a good guy! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are fortunate indeed to have such a great dad! :-)
ReplyDeleteMine is a dad of few words, too. Unfortunately, the wrong ones. But we all have our dads and we all love them. Happy dad's day to us all!
ReplyDeleteA model father such as we rarely hear of. The kind that many sons would kill to have had (rather than wanting to kill the ones that they did get!)
ReplyDeleteYou and I were both lucky in that respect, Bob - though, unlike you with yours, I live with the regret of never having come out to my own Dad. however, he died way back in 1979, so it's not such a big thing.
Lovely tribute.
ReplyDeleteBest father's day tribute I have seen and the internet is pretty big.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing
