Bobservations

The kitchen remodel is coming along, though we’ve had a couple of glitches. Nothing serious, but things just slowed down progress. The countertops are in and I am in love with them … The light for above the sink is ordered, as is the hood for the stove, and the knobs and handles for drawers and door. I am now looking into tile because I have this idea … more on that later.

We have been using the laundry room as our makeshift kitchen, with an espresso machine, a coffee maker, microwave and crockpot moved into it. Carlos has dubbed it the “laundritchen” and the dining room is the “pantrining room.”

And Carlos is loving the chaos … I kid.

This Tuxedo Says is from June 2021:

I would never suggest Tuxedo buys into conspiracy theories but every so often he comes up with a thought that makes you wonder …

He just had questions, you know.

I have been looking for something to do when I retire and then I saw this and thought, Yeah, I could do that.

My wife and I went into town and visited a shop. When we came out, there was a police officer writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and I said:

“Come on man, how about giving a couple of senior citizens a break?”

He ignored us and continued writing the ticket until I called him an “asshole.” He stared at me and then started writing a second ticket for having worn-out tires so my wife called him a “shithead.” He put that ticket on the windshield and then started writing more and more tickets; this went on for about twenty minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote. He finally finished, sneered at us, and walked away.

Lucky for us, because just then our bus arrived and we got on it and went home. We always look for cars with those red Make America Great Again bumper stickers on them because we like to have a little fun now that we’re retired.

I realized that, living in South Carolina, this could keep me busy all day long.

Out there in Utah, of all places, a judge just terminated the  Republicans’ gerrymandering attempt and ordered a new map that includes a new Blue seat.

In Utah, the Resistance is at work.

In good news, 93-year-old Ruth Gottesman donated $1 billion to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine to make tuition free for all students permanently. The donation, which is the largest ever to a U.S. medical school, comes from the fortune left to her by her late husband, David “Sandy” Gottesman.

Ruth Gottesman, a former professor and current board chair at the school, specified that her only requirement is that the institution not be renamed in her honor.

Again, in a world of Bezos and Musk, be a Gottesman.

And also be a Barack Obama …

This week the former President recently surprised a plane of veterans arriving in Washington, D.C., ahead of Veterans Day; the vets were traveling with an Honor Flight from Madison, Wisconsin, when Obama boarded the plane to greet the veterans, many of whom were from the Korean and Vietnam wars.

After his brief remarks, Obama stood on the jetway and personally shook the hand of each veteran as they deplaned and presented each veteran with a Presidential Challenge Coin.

That’s my President.

Last weekend, Cyndi Lauper was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and sang her song “True Colors.”  When she got to the line, “Don’t be afraid …” she stopped singing and raised her fist.

Don’t be afraid.

Two days later the Supreme Court ruled to maintain marriage equality for same-sex couples.

Don’t be afraid.

As with Cankles, I also try not to use her name, and simply call her That Woman.

She turned seventy this week and threw herself a birthday party/thirst trap and I saw one website that mentioned how great she looks and that she appears to be aging backwards. But, um, she has clearly invested thousands and thousands of dollars into plastic surgery and Botox and injections and peels and deals with the Devil. She is far from the natural beauty some seem to suggest.

PS One of the guests of honor at her party was … wait for it … her plastic surgeon. That's him down there with her newest face.

Go figure.

Kirill Kabachenko is a Ukraine-American real estate agent in New York City and a working model. I wonder is he shows houses dressed in just his briefs and I also wonder … Would You Hit It?

  1. Well done, Ruth Gottesman and Barack Obama - classy.

  2. The first thing your contractor should have done is sit you down and tell you that there are going to be glitches; believe me, I've been in the business long enough to tell you this is normal. Obama is very smart. And I don't know who "that woman is," so it's probably a good thing we keep it that way.

    1. He didn't need to sit me down, I knew, and know, there will glitches. I have done enough remodels and renos to know that.

  3. Utah: I dare say, the non-Mormon folks who inhabit "Salta Laka City" (Ya gotta love The Book of Mormon!) were none too happy to have their Blue turned to Red.
The more stuff that comes out about Epstein, the worse Cankles looks. He's lobbying ***so hard*** to get the Rethuglican representatives to vote "no." Gosh....I wonder why.

    1. If you did nothing wrong why are you begging people to change their votes and why are you fighting the release of the files?
      Innocent people don't do that.

  4. What a juxtaposition between Gottesman, Obama, and Lauper on the side of right, and IQ45 and that woman, whose name I forget though I know she's the mother of the three K's, the narcissists all. Actually at first glance I thought it was Epstein's gal pal and wondered how she had a massive party in jail!

🥰 I would definitely buy a house from a realtor who is willing to show me everything he's got; especially when he puts on a feather boa that matches his unzipped face!! Hot!! 🥵
😽 On the other hand, Tuxedo (hot cat!) Rocks!! 🤘😻

  7. Do that woman and KKK (0r should I say the star of Disney's latest trashy show?) share a plastic surgeon? Or do the surgeons order up the same fake plastic faces to stick on the KK mugs?

  8. Oh my God you're a joke of the day was priceless I'm laughing so hard! Wait to retire? Hell I might just go out and do that this weekend!

Ruth Gottesman. Now that is the definition of true charity and acting like a Christian. I don't know why these people was super wealth don't do this more, people cannot possibly spend that much of money before they're dead. Just at the end of the day plain greed. Bravo to Ruth Gottesman. If we had more citizens like her this country wouldn't be in the problems it's having.

And thank heavens with the Supreme Court we dodged yet another bullet. I'm sure it'll get threatened again but at least for now more safe. It sure has not been a good week and a half for Republicans has it? Good.

And I love Carlos's coined phrase laundrakitchen!!!!

Very excited about your kitchen. I can imagine “laundritchen” and “pantrining room.” We’ve lived like that. It must be a nightmare for Carlos to find anything.

And the momager is as vacuous as her daughters. Ugh. They worship at the temple of banality. The kitchen is gonna have glitches, no worries.
And THAT is what people with money to spare should do. Bezos and Fuckerberg will go down in history as petty little boys.

    XOXO

  13. I have no idea who "that woman" is. It's probably for the best.

I hope all the veterans reacted positively to Obama. I tend to think a lot of ex-military are Trumpers, but that's probably an unfair generalization.

The video I saw showed many veterans cheering as they saw him, and laughing and smiling as he greeted them when they stepped off the plain.

    Tuxedo knows !
He’s wise to the conspiracy theorists.
Trump must be blowing a gasket over the Epstein files and whats happened in Utah. And you just know he seeths over people far better than himself like President Obama and Cyndi Lauper.
Finally Ruth Gottesman, a billionaire with class and a sense of noblesse oblige.
Wealthy people like her are generally seen as traitors to their class by other wealthy people. That’s how it was for Eleanor Roosevelt in her day of showing concern for the less fortunate and being an advocate on their behalf.
