Architecture Wednesday: Verdant House

After last week’s somewhat modest and minimalist mountain cabin, I was in the mood for something more lush, like Verdant House, located in Toorak, a prestigious suburb of Melbourne, Australia. It is surrounded by lush gardens, large trees and a beautiful pool, a perfect house for entertaining.

The interior is large and open, with clear walls to bring the outdoors is, and the stunning focal point of a sleek white, towering spiral staircase; to be fair, I loathe a spiral staircase, but this one is fabulous, and a showstopper!

Then there’s the bathroom. Just try getting me outta that tub, or outta that bed; while the whole house is chic and elegant, I might just live in the bedroom …if I could convince Carlos to bring a tray of food up every once in a while.

  1. A little modern for me, but I'm in lust with that staircase and the tub too. I'll be in there with you! The exterior sold me on this one though.
