There are times when I give the GOP the benefit of the
doubt. No, seriously, I do. I think maybe they are simply misguided in their thinking;
maybe they aren't as educated, maybe they......
Yeah, then
something like this comes along: our beloved[?] senator from South Carolina,
the undeniably heterosexual Miss Lindsey Graham is actually asking government
contractors to put their employees on layoff notice before the November
elections, he says, to pressure Congress to address the scary movie
"fiscal cliff."
Um, but is it me,
or does it seem downright moronic, to lay people off, put people out of work,
in these tough economic times, just to make a point. I mean, it is right? Unless,
Miss Lindsey’s 'point' is to make unemployment rise and then blame Obama for
it.
But would the GOP
be that desperate and that incredibly stupid to sacrifice jobs just to win the
White House?
That, my friends,
is a rhetorical question.
This here's Lindsey. |
Graham was joined
by Grampa John McCain on his "Layoffs Are The Way To Go" tour which
he hopes will bring attention to the $500 billion in automatic cuts scheduled
to begin in January if Congress does not find other ways to cut spending. And
Miss Lindsey is saying, "Politicians, you know, quite frankly respond to
pressure.”
No, they don't,
Lindsey, otherwise we wouldn't have any of these last second, ooh, we’re almost
broke, quick everyone vote, budget meetings. Y'all sit on your asses up there
for two years and then come back to your home state and beg us to send you back
so you can 'finish the job' you never actually started. And for you, Miss Graham,
to suggest that Americans actually lose their jobs just so you can make a
point, is the height of GOP Stupidity.
Part One.
Bob,
ReplyDeleteI too at one time used to give the GOP the benefit of a doubt, thinking they actually believed what they were saying and doing. Now I know it is all cynical maneuvering to cause President Obama to fail so the Republicans can get back in power and get us into more wars and reduce and eliminate all the social welfare programs like Social Security and Medicare. And don't kid yourself, they would also reinstate "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" because don't you know "unit cohesion and morale is suffering". Really, is it? Then there is the Old Grump, John "Get Off My Lawn!" McCain throwing his two cents because he still can believe that young, black upstart beat him four years ago. Talk about carrying a grudge, get over it already.
Lindsey Graham is just pandering to his Low Information, Barack Obama hating base in South Carolina. I expected this stupidity from him. Nothing surprises me anymore with this version of the Republican Party, nothing.
Pure Evil.
ReplyDeleteThe thing that disgusts me the most though, is that there are actually people that support & vote for these human cesspools, and convince themselves that they are doing god a service.
Their self-imposed ignorance embarrasses me as an American and the only feelings I can muster for them is a robust mixture of pity mingled with disdain.
Miss Lindsey Graham is actually asking government contractors to put their employees on layoff notice before the November elections, he says, to pressure Congress to address the scary movie "fiscal cliff."
ReplyDeleteSAY WHAT? WTF will THAT accomplish? I used to work as a guv'mint contractor; know why? cause 98% of the guv'mint people are dumber than a box o rocks. if not for the contractors, guv'mint work would never be accomplished.
this makes me sick to my stomach. how do these wankers get elected?
