I Didn't Say It ...

Zohran Mamdani, New York City mayoral candidate, honoring trailblazing Hispanic transgender activist Sylvia Rivera in a new campaign ad in which he pledged to “deploy hundreds of lawyers” to fight Cankle’s anti-trans attacks and make New York City a sanctuary city for trans people:

“It was here on the physical margins of our city that they found a home. [Rivera] arrived here at the age of 11, where she immediately landed in the center of the gay rights movement. She befriended the legendary Marsha P. Johnson, protested at Stonewall, and led marches for equality. But even among the queer community, trans New Yorkers were excluded. Rivera and others were discouraged from walking in Pride, their participation erased from Stonewall history. When she had nowhere left to turn, she would sleep here [upon the Christopher Street Piers], waves lapping nearby. Top of FormYet no matter what hardships she faced, Sylvia Rivera advocated for others. Since taking office, [Cankles] has waged a scorched-earth campaign against trans people. The man with the most power has expended enormous energy targeting those with the least. New York will not sit idly by while trans people are attacked. We will deploy hundreds of lawyers to combat [Cankles’] hate, make New York City an LGBTQIA+ sanctuary city, and create the office of LGBTQIA+ affairs to allocate millions for youth and adult housing programs as well as gender-affirming care. We can’t bring Sylvia back, but we can honor her memory by building a city where trans New Yorkers are cherished. In a time of darkness, New York must be the light.”

Mamdani noted that Rivera co-founded Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries [STAR], an organization that helped feed and house trans youth and advocated for trans inclusion in city and statewide non-discrimination bills up to her final days.

Sanctuary cities often offer trans residents a place where they can pursue gender-affirming care and enjoy municipal recognition of their gender identities without fear of city officials assisting anti-trans investigations from out-of-town transphobic government officials.

Good on Mamdani standing up for the most disenfranchised in our community.

Thomas Massie, GOP representative from Kentucky, taking on the GOP Speaker of the House, Little Johnson, for his lies:

Why are we in recess? Because the day we go back into session, I have 218 votes for the discharge petition to force a vote on releasing the Epstein files.”

Fact. Listen to Little Johnson stutter and stammer and Good Christian Lie™ over why the GOP is staying home and see that none of it makes sense. Johnson is trying to save Cankles from the Epstein scandal and letting Americans suffer through a shutdown as an excuse. He is hiding the GOP like a little coward.

Rachel Maddow, out MSNBC journalist, on the idea of ending the  Voting Rights Act:

“The movement to end the Voting Rights Act is a movement that is deathly afraid of the fact that there’s no longer going to be a white majority in this country within 20 years. They want to guarantee all-white one-party rule that’s impervious to those Democratic changes, and they do not want people who are not white to have a shot at political power anymore!”

In 2025 white men are still afraid of other … brown-skinned people, dark-skinned people, women, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, people of a different faith …

Perhaps We The People should only vote for the disenfranchised and vote out every single white male who is terrified of ceding power to us.

Jeff Tiedrich, a prominent figure in American politics, political blogger, graphics designer, musician and resister of the regime, on Rafael ‘Ted’ Cruz, and his ignorance of the No Kings protests:

“Ted Cruz, you odious dumbfuck. Do you actually think George Soros is cutting seven million paychecks for the protestors? I have a question: is Soros withholding taxes and issuing 1099s, or do we need to be keeping track of that shit ourselves? Is an inflatable frog costume a deductible business expense?”

Tiedrich has long been in the resistance, taking on Cankles and the lapdogs who worship him. He is worth a follow on Bluesky.

JB Pritzker, Illinois Democrat governor, on Cankles assertion that Chicago is another “war zone” in America:

“They’re making things up to go after people. I’m going to stand up for the people of my state. And we’ve got to all stand together because that there are truly unconstitutional actions that are coming out of this administration, coming at the states and the people of the United States and all of us, Democrats and Republicans, need to speak out about it. It’s true that the president says things and sometimes he follows through on those threats, and he certainly has the power of the presidency. He does not have the power to overcome the Constitution. And so, am I afraid? I am not afraid. Do I think that he could do it? He might. But as I’ve said before, come and get me.”

It's odd that Cankles attacks Chicago and DC and Portland, and perhaps soon LA and San Francisco, because all of those cities have a great many Republicans and MAGAts living there, and he will punish his own supporters to try and stay in office.

And if he punishes his own people now, what will He do later.

John Oliver, Last Week Tonight host, on Bari Weiss, the newly appointed MAGAt editor-in-chief of CBS news:

“It is worth keeping an eye out for subtle changes there because, while I’m sure many of CBS’ good journalists will continue to do great work, if you start seeing people resigning or getting fired, or you start seeing stories that seem off in some way, especially if it involves the left going too far on a topic Bari Wise cares about, it’s worth asking yourself why that might be, because unfortunately the much bigger answer might be that a billionaire has chosen to inject contrarian right-leaning opinion journalism into an American icon.”

Weiss works outside of the current org chart by reporting directly to Paramount CEO David Ellison, while The Free Press will remain a stand-alone business outside of CBS News. He cautioned his viewers to pay attention to any differences in the news organization going forward.

Pay attention and get ready to boycott.

  1. If you watch any broadcast corporations' affiliate local newscasts, you will notice changes that aren't all that subtle. The Sinclair-owned ones (ours is an NBC affiliate) USED to run those blatant op-ed pieces at 2AM. Since the Felon's lawsuits, CBS and ABC affiliates are now running the Noem propaganda DURING their local newscasts.

👍 Michael, I absolutely agree! Tiedrich's substack is "everyone is entitled to my own opinion."

  5. I do wonder how many terms Donald Duck plans to have until he pegs it and his first born male becomes President Donald Duck junior for life.

  7. Good luck to Zohran Mamdani -- wouldn't it be wild for him to be mayor of New York?
