This was Bradley Cooper's first house in Venice, tucked away behind mature landscaping and offering complete seclusion and privacy. Cooper worked with renowned interior designer Santillane de Chanaleille to reimagine the interiors, now boasting a natural and raw aesthetic that features reclaimed wood ceilings, concrete floors, and impeccable attention to detail throughout.
Upon entering, you're immediately greeted by the great room, complete with a dining area, kitchen with oversized concrete breakfast bar, and living area with fireplace. French doors blend the living areas with the beautifully manicured gardens, providing a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor living.
The home features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a luxurious primary bedroom suite with elegant louver door closets, and a spa-like bathroom with intricate terra cotta tile, black metal-framed shower, and clawfoot bathtub. A detached rear structure provides the perfect bonus room for an office, home gym, or living space. French doors in the bedroom open out to the backyard, letting in plenty of natural light and fresh air.
The outdoors are an entertainer's dream, with a built-in barbecue, fire pit, water feature, and hot tub for hosting a dinner party or just relaxing with family and friends.
It’s not the largest house, but I love the indoor/outdoor feel of it all.
The garden area is great, and the brown tile bathroom? That's nice. I hate the distressed look ceiling. And all of the white? Nah.
ReplyDeleteI liek the barn wood ceilings.
DeleteI like the layout and the openness (in the right climate.) It does not look like anyone lives there. It needs some art and color, there are curtain rods, and no window coverings? The bathrooms leave a bit to be desired, but that is fixable (counter space is needed!)
ReplyDeleteI guess when you're surrounded by giant hedges who needs curtains???
DeleteIt looks airy and welcoming - until you see the ceilings. They seem to close down the rooms.
ReplyDeleteI like the old barn wood ceilings; it gives it some texture.
DeleteI'd consider it only if Bradley Cooper came with it! Otherwise, it just screams lizard habitat.
ReplyDeleteI gather dear....you'd try training Bradley's lizard!!!!!
DeleteWhat!? Oh, sorry Mads, I read that as 'draining'. My bad.
DeleteTraining or draining, the house is perfect for Hanging with Mr Cooper!
DeleteI like all the interior - except the wallpaper. Open, light, airy feel. The back yard is scrumptious. That ivy will be a problem someday.
ReplyDeleteNot a problem for me, I'd hire an Ivy Guy to deal with it!
DeleteBeautiful. It reflects the 'hottie-ness' that he himself does.
ReplyDeleteLike Deedles said,m if Bradley came with the house ... ?
DeleteHmm. I like most of the interior - though all that white furniture! Who could live with that without slip covers? The tile work is all wrong in both the bathrooms - especially the black and white fleur-de-lis - retro, yes, but some things should never come back. And not wild about all that ivy on the exterior. Rats hide in it and it could damage the integrity of the exterior of the house. But otherwise... cool beans. I love all the natural sanded wood.
ReplyDeleteI have twenty-four-hour rat removal service!
DeleteGonna demand that the overly busy black&white bathroom wallpaper get removed. Other than that, how much and to whom do I write the check?! 😉🤭
ReplyDeleteI like a statement wallpaper or tile in a bathroom; a small space needs it.
Deletethe dog's mother
ReplyDeleteomg - all that ivy - not safe!

A good size for me----As always---Take out everything----And I could put my stamp on it----The light is there---I can add some color, some pop---I will rethink that ceiling---Maybe a paint treatment---While we are at it, let's take a second look at the fireplace installation---Of course, I will add curtains where there are rods---The kitchen is a perfect size---I always hate kitchens big as a ballroom---I will hire a landscape design company to cut back some of the outside growth---Feels a little overgrown---Especially around the posts---The outdoor space is intimate and relaxing---Of course Bob you will be given a key to the guest house to use as you see fit----Just let me know in advance so I can stock and ensure the place ready to receive you and Carlos----
ReplyDeleteI'd stay a good long while in the guest house!
DeleteI love it, as is! The only thing I'd need is a gardener to keep it looking as well manicured as it is in the photos.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to wake up to the view in the bedroom. Ammmmmazing!
Those hedges would need maintenance!
DeleteA too small framed whatever below the sole wall sconce in the dining area.....sigh. The designer with the Frenchi-fied surname was either not persuasive with the client or took the easy way out of putting effort into a structure that deserves more than Restoration Hardware-esq.
ReplyDeleteBuy a larger piece of art???
DeleteMove in Ready for me, though I might add some color to those walls....
ReplyDeleteSome nice art could do the trick!
DeleteMeh....not bad. With exception to the spectacular bathroom tilework...those gorgeous beamed ceilings...and the lovely kitchen...its otherwise just meh. But the courtyard area is stunning. So this does habe some redeeming qualities.
ReplyDeleteI do like the bathroom and that garden.
DeleteSweet looking place, but as uptonking said, all that ivy says rats nest, especially in Venice, CA! The other thing that struck me was there are a lot of 4 legged varmints that would easily slip inside! xoxo
ReplyDeleteName it the Varmint House or have a pest control service on speed dial????

The exterior looks nice and relaxing to me.
ReplyDeleteI do love the outdoor space.
