Why Is It ...

… that most people don’t understand that blowing the powdered sugar off a donut is part of my healthy eating plan.

… that I used to be a people person until people ruined it for me.

… that I don’t like this phase of my life where I Google a celebrity and find out they’re younger than me.

… that my circle of friends is so small that when my phone rings I already know who it is.

… that when I was dating, the guys never realized they they got a comedian, a chef and a mental patient all rolled into one.

… that most days I feel like putting an ‘Out of Order’ sign on my head and giving up.

… that co-workers don’t get it that if I call in sick to work they shouldn’t ask me what’s wrong because what’s wrong is I’m sick of all of them.

… that sometimes I want to throw cow poop on people to fertilize them so they’ll grow up.

… that when I was younger my housekeeping style was best described as “there seems to have been a struggle.”

… that no one gets the fact that if you’re trying to impress me with your vehicle it had better be a food truck.

… that no one remembers that putting me on speaker phone is taking a huge risk.

  1. Poop will not help people grow, I learned that a long time ago. And I stopped searching for people on Google since just about every celebrity or interesting person is now younger than me.

  3. On his deathbed, one of my high school classmates broke the vow of silence on who drove the manure spreader through town in the middle of the night with a fresh spring barn cleaning loaded in it. The town didn't grow up.

😋🤤 Aah, food trucks! Yummy cuisines that I used to follow around town! I became unnerved, though, when they started following me! 😳

    1. I'd love a food truck to follow me ... home, and then park in my driveway so I could stay in my jammies when I go out to get food!

  8. I was a people person, too, and that’s exactly what happened to me!

  9. I've always considered myself to be a modern day Pollyanna, always looking for the good in people, but no longer, sweetpea! These MF have released my inner Kraken and it does not bode well for them! Oh, and yeah, a food truck is MOST impressive! xoxo

  10. Oh Bobulah, I'm at the age where celebrities are younger than my children. I watch my old favorite shows and movies and mutter "He's dead, she's dead, that whole cast is dead". The good news? Bella's vet visit today wasn't a death march. My little bichonpoo is perfectly healthy for an 18-year-old fossilized bag of blind zooming bones. Yay! I ,on the other hand, am in my depression months, but this cheered me. Thanks, dear heart.

  11. I don't think I've ever seen a powdered sugar donut, it must be an American thing. We have them with sugar and cinnamon, or glazed or with icing. None of which matters now that I've had to give them up.

    1. I haven't had a donut in eons, but, yeah, we have them with powdered sugar sprinkled on top.

  12. I've often thought of calling in sick because work is making me sick. It's an infinite loop, isn't it?
