Back story … several times over the last few years Carlos
has played his trumpet at the local Catholic church mass for Christmas and
Easter; he has also played at events for the Hispanic parishioners.
And, because I cannot always drive him to his translations,
he asked if he could put up a note on the church bulletin board to ask for
rides and one woman, Diane, answered and said she’d be thrilled to drive him
whenever he needs it.
Now, he and I take walks nearly every day that I am off on
various trails in and around Camden, but he wanted to walk more so he asked the
woman who drives him—is he becoming Miss Daisy—if she knew of a group from the
church. Well, she didn’t but she created one and they had their first walk
today and Diane told Carlos that some of the women questioned walking with him
because he’s a :::gasp::: homosexual and Diane told them that if they took
issue with him because he’s gay that they could just stay home and not be part
of the group.
Last week, we had car wash Karen and this week we have
Diane, proving there are all kinds of people, good and bad, in the world and we
need to school the bad and thank the good.
PS Diane brought him Gatorade so he could hydrate during the
walk! |
One step at a time.

DeleteBecky Bradley's petulant, isn't she. Gatorade? Nice! Isn't it interesting how Snoop's story changed as the blowback continued?
ReplyDeleteBecky is a sad Karen.
DeleteDiane stepping up to support Carlos is such a beautiful example of kindness and standing up for what’s right. Tuxedo, as always, keeping things grounded with a touch of humor. The rest of the news Snoop, the CEO incident, and Justice Bradley definitely shows how important it is to pay attention, think critically, and stand up for fairness and respect wherever we can.

Diane rules!
ReplyDeleteI'd go in walks with here any day.
And the problem with Snoop is that he didn't think all that much when he had to explain his past arrests for drug and for ... MURDER, right? But a same sex couple with a child? The HORROR! He's feeling the heat.
Piotr? He's I dick. I watched the video. There was no question the hat was for the kid.
XOXO
What is "Gatorade"? I don't think that it is sold in England. I imagine that it contains genuine alligator urine which does not appeal to me.
ReplyDelete🥰 I know in my heart that there are still more Dianes than Karens or Beckys in the world, and we need to lift them up like you did today! Remind the Karens, like Becky Bradley and Joni Ernst, that shame still exists and they should crawl back under their rocks where nasty little insects belong! 👏👋
ReplyDelete🤬 That brings us to that shameless Polish rich guy who grabbed the hat! He shamed himself before he grabbed the hat. He entered a scrum of young fans, the only "adult" at the front, and was telling the player that he had wrongfully "not given my sons autographs when they asked you earlier" (at an inappropriate pre-match time), so "I am here to collect!" [my paraphrase] The player was giving up his hat randomly and, whether Daddy Karen was confused is hardly the issue, he should not have been there among the kids!! What a 🍆!!
😸 On the other hand, Tuxedo Rocks!! 🤘😻
It's refreshing to hear of people like Diane - especially in these times. Bradley's expression looks like she has a serious case of "Grumpy Bear." Poor dear....somebody give her a bear hug so tight that she passes....(out). The Bruce Little Bluesky? 100%
