My Dad has taken a turn for the worse, and I am headed out to Oregon for the next week or so. He is being checked into hospice so we're not exactly sure how much time is left.
I'd say his next step is palliative care at this point. It's what my dad had after checking himself into hospital when he couldn't keep food down, or even liquids. He lasted about three weeks. Stay strong and just talk to him as much as you can, let him talk to you too. The two-way connection is needed now.
Hospice will take the best care of your Dad and, you know, your Dad is doing it his way! Say the things that need to be said and laugh as much as possible! Let him leave with no regrets and the same goes for you! ❤️ Marcia in Colorado
