In the wake of the riots and protest
in Baltimore, following the murder, yes, murder, of Freddie Gray, future failed
presidential candidate Ted Cruz blamed President Obama for the mess because, well,
it was a word salad about beer summits and divisiveness, but it ended up with
Ted Cruz saying he wanted to unite all Americans.
Unless you’re gay or a
Democrat apparently, because last week Cruz gave a speech where he said Democrats
had gone to extremes in their persecution of Christians:
"Today’s Democratic
Party has decided there is no room for Christians in today’s Democratic Party. There
is a liberal fascism that is going after Christian believers. It is
heartbreaking, but it is so extreme, it is waking people up. Today’s Democratic
Party has become so radicalized for legalizing gay marriage in all 50 states
that there is no longer any room for religious liberty.”
Democrats hate Christians, y’all.
Democrats, because they want everyone treated equally, are radicals.
Yeah, he’s the "uniter."

Unfortunately, in my uber-religious family, I'm sure that is a lie that is believed. I try to do my part to belie the lies, but there is only so much one little agnostic/almost atheist Democrat can do
ReplyDeleteHe's piling an awful lot on one group's shoulders.
