Here we go again …..
Another gay teacher has been fired for living his life;
simply, living his life. He was promoting homosexuality, condoning homosexuality;
he wasn’t “converting” children into homosexuals.
He was living his life; falling in love, and wanting to get
married, and for that he’s out of a job.
Michael Griffin used to teach at Holy Ghost Preparatory
School in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, but was terminated the day he applied for a
license to marry his partner. He’d been teaching at the school for twelve years,
and was gay the entire time since he was born that way, yet it only became an
issue when he wanted to get married.
And he says it was no secret that he was gay, and that was all
fine and dandy, until the day he emailed the
principal of Holy Ghost Prep to say he’d be late one Friday because he was
applying for a marriage license. After an in-service day he was called into the
office of School President Father James McCloskey, along with Principal Jeffrey
Danilak and was told he was being fired, not so much for being gay, but for
getting married; to another man.
Griffin explains, "He said, 'It's not really a secret
here that you're gay.' I said, 'Correct.' He said, 'I assume this is a same sex
marriage.' 'Yes.' He said if I go through with it, he had no choice but to
terminate my position."
That was that. Griffin could be openly gay and still teach
at the school, but the very moment he applied for a marriage license — and a
legal marriage license at that — he’s told he’s unacceptable for teaching. He believes
a particular section of the teachers code of conduct led to his firing. It
reads:
"That, although, the School welcomes teachers from other denominations and recognizes their rights to religious freedom, as employees of a Catholic institution, all teachers are expected to uphold lifestyles compatible with the moral teaching of the Roman Catholic Church."
And now, before anyone gives me the 'He knew what he was doing when he took a job at a Catholic school, and
he knew about that teachers code', think on this:
He was fired for not being “compatible with the moral
teachings of the Catholic church.” The moral teachings of a church that is
still reeling from a massive, worldwide pedophile priest scandal. The same
church where, if you raped small boys over and over and over again, sometimes
by the hundreds, you’d be protected, nurtured and helped; the church would pay
your legal bills and possibly even give you a pension. But, god forbid you'd want
to marry your same-sex partner, because that’s just too much; that’s just
immoral.
Hopefully another school will take advantage of Michael
Griffins’ twelve years of experience; a school not based on lies and hypocrisy.
I heard about this on our news as it is only about 40 mins away. Shaking my head. It getting better but those Catholic school will never cave in, they would sooner burn to the ground.
ReplyDeleteIf they are working in the interest of the children, they blew it.
ReplyDeleteas maddie said, this is too close to home. yeah, it's OK to extort money from the sheeple and rape children, but get married to a man? OMB, THINK OF THE CHILDREN it's all bullshit.
ReplyDeleteI guess it's o.k. for all those nuns get married to Jesus(without his consent) but God forbid if a guy should get married to another guy because he they are in love! The catholic Church is the #1 franchise business in America and pays no taxes. Time to take their tax exemp away from them, and all contributions should be eliminated from U.S.Income Tax,too!
