I Ain't One To Gossip, But.....

I still remember when they were casting Catwoman--eons before Halle Berry destroyed the character--and wack-a-doodle actress Sean Young went on The Joan Rivers Show in full Catgirl regalia, practically begging the producers to hire her.
They didn't.
And it seemed like Young was on the Cracktress Express to Crazy Town. Except she kinda disappeared for a spell, showing up to drunkenly yell at awards winners at awards shows.
Now Young, one of Hollywood's First Ladies Of Cray-Cray, also found herself arrested on Oscar night for attempting to Lohan her way into the Governor's ball; to Lohan means to sit pathetically outside the venue until some schnook takes pity on you and asks you in, or the security guard turns his head and you leap the Velvet Rope.
The Governors Ball security guard knew Ticketless Sean was trying to worm her way in, so he suggested she try the Chick-fil-A Oscar bash instead. Sean Young was not amused. She's a star, dammit, even if only in her own head. So she continued to try and sneak in until the guard had enough and the two got into it. The guard says that Sean slapped him in the face--which is also called Going ZsaZsa--and he promptly gave her the Citizen's Arrest.
Young was taken to a police station in Hollywood where she was kept for four hours. Upon her release, around 3AM, Young told the gathering horde--and that's not a misprint, it was just one photog--that it's the Academy's lawyer's fault, that she was at the party with friends when for no reason at all, the Academy's lawyer told the security guard to arrest her ass.
Of course, if she'd been at the party, how to explain how she was outside the ropes all night. Oh, in Sean Young's head, outside the ropes IS the party.

Remember last week when it was announced that Gerard Butler had checked himself into rehab for his addiction issues, which may, or may not, have included the Lohan Method--i.e. prescription meds--cocaine and alcohol?
Well, when word came that he was in rehab, he'd actually already been there for weeks and was just about to be released.
Hey Gerard, you just completed 28 days of rehab for substance abuse issues! How you gonna celebrate? Disney World?
Nope, Gerard Butler's first post-rehab stop was at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, a room full of more drunken users and coked up wannabes than a Lohan Family Christmas.
Seriously, Gerard. Get a grip. If you've just gotten out of a 28 day spa retreat and lost 100 pounds, would your first stop be the Del Taco Drive-thru?
No, honey, no.

Now that I've mentioned Lohan a couple of times, it's time for The Lohan Update.
And it's all about cracktress Lindsay and her wacknut lies.
It seems Lohan gave an interview to The Mail about her ALLEGED role in the upcoming Direct-To-Motel-6-Pay-Per-View Elizabeth Taylor Story, that the real Liz Taylor gifted Lindsay Lohan with a ring shortly before she died.
Which, I'm guessing, is Lohan-speak for I broke into her house and stole a ring.
According to the article, Lohan says the late Elizabeth Taylor sent her a ring before she died: "I treasure it....It came with this beautiful note, hand-written by Elizabeth Taylor, which was very encouraging about my work--and that work is something I should concentrate on."
I think Liz was trying to say, Pawn this cheap bauble I found in my underwear drawer and pay for rehab, bitch.
And then Lohan comes clean and says it really was just a junk piece of costume jewelry sent to her by pig farmer, Elizabeef Taylor, from ScratchNutz, Tennessee.
I'm guessing.
Oh Lindsay. Expecting anyone to believe that Liz Taylor knew you, much less took a moment out of her day to send you a piece of glass.
Bitch please.

So, Chris Brown is still on everyone's radar because of that whole I Beat Rihanna thing a few years back, and people are pissed that he performed at the Grammys and won a Grammy. That might be the least of his worries.
It seems that Brown, who is still legally “on probation” from his plea of felony battery on Rihanna, is now being accused of stealing a woman’s phone in Miami after she snapped a few photos of him.
The Florida State’s Attorney's Office began an investigation into Brown after the woman filed a police report claiming he stole her cell phone. A spokesperson for the Miami Police Department released this statement: “An incident report was filed against Mr. Brown, and the Florida State Attorney’s Office will be issuing a warrant for his arrest this afternoon, I can’t tell you what time, but it will be today.”
The accuser, Chrital Spann, says that she snapped a few photos of Chris as he sat in a Bentley outside of a Miami club, and when Brown saw her, he ALLEGEDLY "snatched the phone" and shouted, “Bitch, you ain’t giving this to no website.”
Um, Chris, that would actually be, "Bitch, you aren't giving this to any website."
At any rate, Browns lawyer, Mark Geragos, has ALLEGEDLY been in talks with the Florida State’s Attorney’s Office because, as a source--and by source, I think we can all agree that it's Lohan--says, “Chris has nothing to hide and is hopeful that he won’t be charged with stealing the phone.”
And it could get ugly for him. If Brown is arrested the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office might seek to revoke his probation.
Maybe Chris Brown just needs to sit down, shut up, and keep his hands to himself.

And speaking of Brown, one of those folks most upset about Brown being on the Grammys is country singer Miranda Lambert, whose new album just so happens to feature a song about a girl seeking vengeance on a boy who beat her. Lambert has been using Chris Brown to hawk her album and rile up her fans in concerts all over the country.
But that's not the Lambert story of the week,
It’s pretty well known fact that Blake Shelton cheated on his first wife with fellow country singer Miranda Lambert, his current wife. I mean, she has as much as admitted to that in interviews. And, we've all heard the saying, Once a cheater.....
No, not her. Him,
It seems that Lambert's husband, Blake Shelton, hooked up with country singer Cady Groves, on Twitter some two years ago, and their cozy online banter is startin' to sizzle.
Cue fiddles.
A source--and by source I think we all know I mean Lohan--says, “Cady had a huge crush on Blake and followed him on Twitter for almost a year before they formally met. She was new to the country music scene and doing everything she could to get her boot in the door, so Cady sent Blake messages asking him to be in her new video."
And he did.
Soon Blake and Cady were ALLEGEDLY calling and texting each other every day, and our source, says,  “Oftentimes Cady would get a call in the middle of the day, then she’d suddenly pack her bags and fly to Oklahoma where Blake lives. Her trips were always very quick – usually 24 hours or less.” Well, this may be true, or may not be true, but even Lambert admits her husband is addicted to Tweeting, and is often a bit of a drunken Tweeter.
And IRONICALLY, the video that Shelton appeared in for this relatively unknown country newbie was a video for a song about cheating.
Just sayin'.

Good News Friday: Fez Whatley Comes Out

On the one year anniversary of his father's death, well-known radio host Fez Whatley--one half of the radio program, the Ron & Fez Show--has come out as a gay man.
Whatley has been playing a flamboyant gay character on the air for over two decades, but, he says he realized that at some point he realized it was more than just a character:
"Working with my friend Ron Bennington, we created an on-air persona for me. His name was Fez Whatley. Fez was eccentric, over the top, flamboyant and most of all, gay. Really gay. Fez took down celebrities, talked gossip, lampooned women, and did it all with a wicked gay tongue. I could say it was the part I was born to play, but back then I didn’t realize how true that was."
Whatley says fans of the show often asked if he was gay, and he'd reply, “'Yes, 6 to 10am weekdays,' the hours our show was on. That was my little joke just to make sure everyone knew that there was a straight guy behind the feather boa and sequined jacket."
But he realized three years ago that he wasn't just playing a character, and he was devastated. The realization that he was everything that he "had joked about" led to his being treated for depression, stage fright, anger, and an inability to play the character on radio or public events.
Whatley came out to his co-host but didn't tell the public.
But, on February 24, Whatley came out live on the air, telling his fans that there are too many issues facing the LGBT community, and too many great comedians--like Wanda Sykes, Todd Glass, and Mo Rocca--who are out, for him to remain "an angry closet case."
He said, " I can’t be a part of 'It’s gets better' until I make sure things are going to get better for me. And that’s what I intend on doing."
Welcome out, Fez. Homo HQ will be sending you a copy of The Gay Agenda as well as the Welcome Out Toaster Oven. Use it in good health.
Welcome out.

PR: All-Stars: Light It Up!!

In yet another first--we are reminded ad nauseum that this is "all-stars" and that the challenges have never been done before--this week the designtestants will have to use lights, and technology, in their designs. They must create an avantgarde look using light strips, neon tape, fairy lights--Hello Austin!--and rope lights.
Rope lights? Bondage goes high-tech.
Let's rip.......because I have houseguests coming and need to get to the airport.

MICHAEL
This is the episode where Michael loses his sh*t and goes all bi-polarizing. He cannot decide what to do, but when he does, it will be the winner, because this is the best challenge ever, for it pushes him.
But it's also the worst challenge ever because it pushes him into neon tape and blinking blue lights. I'm envisioning Crime Scene Couture.
Michael buys pink fabric, and stiff felt to make a very structured pink coat. He doesn't do stiff, unless it's his personalty. I jest. No, I don't!
He says he'll push himself, and he does. He pushes himself right away from a pink lighted coat, and does a pink lighted dress, and then switches it up for a black lighted cocktail dress and ends up with a Little Black Light Up dress under a pink coat. Every time we see Michael he pushing a mannequin in a different dress through the workroom. And yet he doesn't send any of those down the runway.
In the end he goes all Ewok-Ninja-Samurai-Warrior-Goddess-Princess. Kenley was right, Michael makes six looks every week. Only this week he gets to use neon tape, which he wraps around her arms, down her legs and onto her shoes.
It's a mess. It looks cool at first, but with each step it becomes crazier and crazier. Isaac liked the idea, not the shabby execution; he felt the neon tape looked like, well, neon tape. And he wasn't keen on the blinking shoulder lights. Georgina agreed and also hated the rope light waist, and the square bow at the back, which made the model look thick; she also used the 'e' word: edit! Angela liked the kooky shoulders, and guest judge Pharrell Williams--who was named one of the best dressed men ever and yet wore a ball cap and a black shirt-- thought it looked like ComicCon, Mortal Kombat, Grace Jones.
And not it a good way.
Michael was spared, however, because......

JERELL
As we all know the edit button, and the mute button, on Jerell do not work. He goes all magnetic lights and fiber optic lights because he's going to do JERELL!! Ethnic meets tribal meets prints.
He buys prints and fringe and feathers at Mood, telling us that he'll mix prints like it's something new. Um, Jerell? Set down the ego and close your mouth for a sec. You've been mixing prints, often hideously, all season long. Just sayin'.
Joanna Coles warns him that his outfit, of magnetic lights and fiber optics, might read Christmas tree, but, as usual Jerell only hears.....blah blah blah. He says it's tribal ethnic, with movement, and he will get his second win. Then he wonders if it's fabulous or fugly, though either would be okay for him. I, however, am leaning toward the latter.
It's Seussical looking, like Whoville Couture. He says it's gotta be memorable. And it is...which isn't always good. It's a hot tribal, ethnic mess. Neon sunglasses and neon shoes and fiber optic hair. An actual light bulb in the model's mouth??! Edit, man, edit!!
Georgina liked that Jerell's dress was the only one that had real movement, but called it tribal raver, and might be found in a tent at 6AQM. Been.There. Isaac actually liked the light in the mouth, but hated the joke store looking neon sunglasses and the neon pumps. Angela hated the long black skirt, as did Pharrell; he asked Jerell to lift it up, and instantly all the judges thought the dress was much better. Better, but too late.
As he was being Auf'd, Jerell was heard repeating that old model mantra, "If only I'd  lifted my skirt before the runway, I might have been a winner."
No tents for Jerell.

MONDO
As usual, he has no idea what he's going to do because he doesn't sketch. He ;lets the fabric tell him what to do, and this week he let the lights show him the way. He can't think, he can't work, but he reminds us that "it's called a challenge for a reason."
He tells Joanna he's making a little lighted jacket over a dress, but, really, he has no idea. The fabrics, as well as the lights, have yet to speak to him. It seems as if every challenge finds Mondo doing next to nothing on the first day and then busting out brilliance--or, as he says, "grabbing the dress by the balls"--on day two.
He won't just lay the lights over the dress, he'll encase the rope lights into strips of fabric so they shine through the material. His look is simple, and totally Mondo. He seems to have the ability to take every challenge and still stay true to his own style. The colors, while neon and all lit up, are totally Mondo.
My only complaint is that as soon as I saw it, I got Updated Madonna Cone Bra. And I don't think there's an antibiotic for that.
Georgina liked the bra, and liked the track lighting, but wished the tracks had a slight curve so the model didn't look so straight up and down. Isaac wondered if it was avantgarde, and called it Teletubbies--though he loves a good Teletubbies dress. Pharrellbreasty card. Angela just thought the breasts looked strange. And, for obvious reasons, I kind of agree.
Mondo gets Middle Ground.

KENLEY
She.Doesn't.Do.Technology.
In the 50s there were no rope lights or neon tape or fiber optics. That's as crazy as sending a man to the moon! And we all know that didn't happen.,....Capricorn One.
With a budget of $300 at the lighting store, Kenley racks up a $700 bill. Cutting corners begins. Lights are tossed out. Rope lights rewound. Magnetic lights returned to the fridge. She's left with Fairy Lights.....Kenley's a gay man?.....and neon tape. But she'll use the tape to make a typical Kenly fabric, only not polka dots, or heart dots this week; she's going plaid! In high volume. A big old plaid ballgown!
I keep picturing Scarlett O'Hara turning Mike and Carol Brady's sofa into a cotillion dress.
And then she does! Kind of. She bought some of that mesh, strap fabric that people use on the bottoms of sofa for support and she'll be making a jacket out of it. Careful audience, Kenly is out of the box.
Well, maybe not too far. Mondo says it's the same style of dress only done with neon tape. And it is, but it's a cool fabric, and the mesh coat is very stiff, but very cool, with the Fairy Lights strung through it. It's totally Kenley but totally different, too. Pharrell likes the shape, but wishes the lights were in the fabric, not strung through it. Isaac calls it divine, and loves that Kenley stepped away from her usual schmata. He loved the hugeness of it, but mainly because you could see through the mesh so it wasn't just a ginormous dress. Georgina loved the proportions and Angela really liked the handmade plaid fabric.
I'll say it, I really thought Kenley should have won, but she goes Second Place.

AUSTIN
Seriously, he goes all fairy on us with his design and his descriptions and his swooshing hands and fluttering eyes and, really odd mustache. His gown will be, and I quote, a "lavish array of lights....atop delicate clouds of tulle...dripping with fairy lights."
Mondo finally realizes that Austin is a Primadonna.
He is instantly drawn to the Fairy Lights....insert joke here__________.......and will do Fairy Princess draped in starlight descending from the heavens as God intended it.
It's a "grand dramatic Stardust Ballgown."
♫♪ It's Austin ♪♫
"Magical....dazzling....windswept."
Joanna Coles worries it might be too pretty for guest judge, rapper-slash-designer--and why are all rappers becoming fashion designers?--Pharrell Williams, but Austin only cares that it's romantic like Austin.
♫♪ It's Austin Scarlett ♪♫
So much drama coming through in Austin's work this week, that it's no wonder he gets the home phone call. We find that his mother may be losing her house and that he's doing All-Stars for his family.
Suddenly the Austin Scarlett Musical gets all serious, until.....
♫♪ "This is how God must have felt when he created the heavens" ♪♫
Which, I guess, means God is a gay designer with a 1940s villain mustache.
His dress is Gothic Marie Antoinette Starlight Starbright. It's also, mainly because of the shape, like a Christmas tree. Angela wishes the lights had been in the fabric, or under the fabric, not just strung with tinsel and globes around the fabric. Isaac called it ♫mysterious♪ while Pharrell called it ♪beautiful♫ and Georgina said it was ♫enchanting♪.
Austin swooned on the runway, winning this challenge. So thrilled was he that he evidently shaved off that 'stache.
So, it's not just a win for him, it's a win for all of us!

What did you think?
Did the right one win?
Did the right one leave?
And what kind of ♫♪drama♪♫ will ensue next week on the most dramatic season ever!!??!!

I Didn't Say It........

Brandon Morgan, the Marine whose homecoming embrace is all the rage on Facebook:
"To everyone who has responded in a positive way. My partner and I want to say thank you. Dalan, the giant in the photo, can't believe how many shares and likes we have gotten on this. We didn't do this to get famous,or something like that we did this cause after 3 deployments and four years knowing each other, we finally told each other how we felt. As for the haters, let em hate...to quote Kat Williams, everyone needs haters, so let them hate. We are the happiest we have ever been and as for the whole PDA and kissing slash hugging in uniform...it was a homecoming, if the Sergeants Major, Captains, Majors, and Colonels around us didn't care...then why do you care what these random people have to say? In summation thank you for your love and support. I received a lot of friend requests off this. I don't just accept requests so if your request was because of this post message me and let me know. Goodnight all, and Semper Fi."

You know, if this one picture, of these two men embracing after a long separation, keeps just one gay kid from thinking about a rope or a gun then this is all worth it.
A picture may be worth a thousand words, but sometimes it can also save lives.

Rob Schwarzwalder, Family Research Council senior vice president, on Starbucks' pro-marriage equality stance:
"The effort to redefine marriage to include same-sex partners is a radical social innovation, one fraught with dangerous implications for individuals, families, and culture. Claiming to be post-political and then allowing one’s chief corporate spokesperson to say that same-sex 'marriage' is 'is core to who we are and what we value as a company' are assertions that don’t quite add up. So, for now, at least, I will buy my overpriced flavored coffees elsewhere. I dislike boycotts for a number of reasons, but am undertaking a personal one at present. Being for marriage, as understood in the Judeo-Christian context and Western tradition, is much more to 'the core of who I am' than a Starbucks iced mocha ever will be."

So, Robbie, you'll have to lay off your Vanilla Frappuccino fix because Starbucks is for equality?
Switch to Kool-Aid.

Rudy Giuliani, on the GOP presidential campaign, Rick Santorum, and their focus on social issues:
"I think the gay rights issue is a more current (example). I think beyond all the religious and social part of it, it makes the party look like it isn't a modern party. It doesn't understand the modern world."

Um, this from the man who promised to officiate at the marriage of his two gay friends and then changed his mind.
This from the man who cheated on first wife with soon-to-be second wife but doesn't think gays and lesbians will honor the sanctity of marriage.
This from the man who isn't running for president so he doesn't have to toe the party line.
This from the man who is, and has been, and will be, an asshat.

Cindy McCain, blaming the media for making the GOP seem anti-gay:
"I think the media portrays that. I think being a Republican, being part of the party for — as many years as I have and knowing the Republicans the way I do that is not the case and that’s not the bulk of Republicans that believe in that, at all. The vocal ones, maybe the ones that are on the far right side of the issue, but I — certainly in the state of Arizona – we are open-minded Republicans and believe in equality for all."

Arizona? Open-minded? Your husband?
Cindy, thanks for your pro-equality stance, but enough with this Kool-Aid swilling, pro-LGBT rights GOP. It doesn't exist except for tiny little pockets around the country.
The GOP does not want equality in any way, shape or form.
Quit yer pandering.

Karen Santorum, on how God wants Frothy to be President:
"I personally think this is God's will. I think He has us on a path, and I do think there's a lot more happening than what we're seeing. Personally I mean I think Rick's a great guy, and he's really smart and everything. But I think a lot more is happening than what we can actually see. It's completely a spiritual thing. This is God's will."

This from the pro-life woman who lived in sin for years with an abortion doctor.
Batshit crazy has a brand new name, and it's Karen Santorum.

Rick Santorum, on separation of church and state:
“I don’t believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute. The idea that the church can have no influence or no involvement in the operation of the state is absolutely antithetical to the objectives and vision of our country. This is the First Amendment. The First Amendment says the free exercise of religion. That means bringing everybody, people of faith and no faith, into the public square. Kennedy for the first time articulated the vision saying, no, ‘faith is not allowed in the public square. I will keep it separate.’ Go on and read the speech ‘I will have nothing to do with faith. I won’t consult with people of faith.’ It was an absolutist doctrine that was foreign at the time of 1960.”

Um, Ricky, you delusional fuck? If you don't believe in separation of church and state then ask your mighty Catholic Church to pay taxes. And then ask the government to step in more and more and tell churches what to do.
Separation of church and state protects our government from the undue influence of any religion, and it protects any church from the undue influence of government.
Oh, and you're an asshat.

Jon Stewart, on Rick Santorum's attacks on higher education, and his urge to "throw up" over JFK's speech about separation of church and state:
“Rick, I'm sorry that hearing that JFK speech on religion makes you throw up. But if it makes you feel any better, if JFK were alive today, knowing you were running for President would make him sh*t his pants."

Word.

Maureen Dowd, on the GOP:
"In the old days, the Republican ego had control of the party’s id. The id, sometimes described as a galloping horse or crying baby, 'the dark, inaccessible part of our personality ... chaos, a cauldron full of seething excitations,' as Freud called it, was whipped up obliquely by candidates. Nixon had his Southern strategy of using race as a wedge, Bush Senior and Lee Atwater used the Willie Horton attack, and W. and Karl Rove conjured the gay marriage bogyman. Once elected, those presidents curbed the id with the ego, common sense and reason. But now the G.O.P.’s id is unbridled. The horse has thrown the rider; the dark forces are bubbling. Moderates, women, gays, Hispanics and blacks — even the president — are being hunted in this most dangerous game."

Seriously, she couldn't paint a clearer picture of the GOP and how they are turning into the Party of No, and the Party of Hate, and the Party of Running Every Single Aspect of the Lives of People they Don't Like.

Jon Goldwater, CEO of Archie Comics, on those One Million [or more like 40,000] Moms and their impending boycott:
"We stand by Life with Archie #16. As I’ve said before, Riverdale is a safe, welcoming place that does not judge anyone. It’s an idealized version of America that will hopefully become reality someday. We’re sorry the American Family Association/One Million Moms feels so negatively about our product, but they have every right to their opinion, just like we have the right to stand by ours. Kevin Keller will forever be a part of Riverdale, and he will live a happy, long life free of prejudice, hate and narrow-minded people."

It's funny, scary, and all kinds of crazy that these "Moms" are raging over a gay couple in a comic.
You don't like gay comic book folks, read.something.else.
Or, at the very least, learn to read.

Random Musings

Rick Santorum, he of the delusions of Biblical proportions, was in Troy, Michigan last week and told the crowd that kids shouldn't go to college. He says liberal professors would "indoctrinate" them, and "remake" them in the image of Barack Obama. This, apparently, is the only reason Barack Obama wants kids to pursue higher education.
And, as Rick "Frothy Mix" Santorum, concluded he said, of the President of the United States, "What a snob!"
No, it's not snobbery Ricky, it's intelligence and understanding and compassion.
All things you severely lack.

I had a dream the other night that Carlos and I were arguing about....something. But we were living in Black-and-White, not amazing Technicolor®, which I found disconcerting.
Then, mid-argument, I realize that, while it is Carlos with whom I'm arguing, he has morphed into former My Three Sons dad, Fred MacMurray; although he was more Son of Flubber MacMurray than MTS MacMurray.
This jolted me awake, until I realized that MacMurray also played The Absentminded Professor and that is how I often see Carlos.
Still, was it weird that I wanted to talk to Uncle Charlie about it?

Okay, I admit it, I'm over America Idol. A few years back I gave up watching the freak show they call the audition process, because it had turned into Let's make fun of crazy people who can't sing by putting 'em on TV, crushing their dreams, and then laughing behind their backs.
And I gave up on Hollywood Week because the singertestants--yeah, that doesn't work at all--were told to Bring it and not to make any mistakes because it was a one shot deal, and then morons who forgot the words were sent through because their mama back in Butcher Holler has leukemia.
Then we get to the Top Twelve, er, Twenty Four, er, Eighty-eight, however many, and they trot out a fifteen-year-old boy who says he'll be singing Adele.
A-freakin'-dele.
But that's what Eben Franckewitz did last night, looking all WalMart Bieber-ish and stuff. His take on 'Set Fire To The Rain' was painful, and not in the painful break-up-with-a-bad-boyfriend way like Adele sings, but painful in the You-shouldn't-be-singing-this-song kind of way.
And he shouldn't be on TV at fifteen. I don't think he can handle the pressure, especially after listening to those three "judges" Tweedle-dee, Tweedle-dum and J-nipple-Lo ooh and aah over him, and call him a professional, and how he really nailed it at the end.
Note to singertestants--yeah, still not working--Don't sing Adele unless you have the chops.
And are old enough to drive.

In an effort to mess with the election process some, progressive activists have been encouraging Democrats in open primaries to vote for Rick Santorum to further fracture the GOP nomination process.
Sad and pathetic Dems. Seriously.
But then Rick Santorum, so desperate to become president--and I giggle because that won't happen--actually capitalized on that plan and had his Hell Hounds robocall Michigan voters asking for the same thing.
And it may have worked. While Mittsy easily took Arizona with 47.3% of the vote, in Michigan it was a narrower margin--41.1% to 37.9%--and Mittsy and Frothy split the delegates equally.

Sharon Needles doing Michelle Visage on RuPaul's Drag Race Snatch Game the other night was high-larious. And couple that with her Botox-injecting runway and she still remains one of my favorite girls.
Now, out of drag, he looks a little drug-addict-on-the-street-homeless, which I find very strange. And don't get me started on his hair, cut and color.
But slap some make-up and a wig on him and he's brazilliant.

Thank goodness Paul won on Top Chef.
I really liked his cooking style, and the way his manly thighs looked in Levis, and his dignity and kindness during the season, and the way his manly thighs looked in Levis.
Sarah, on the other hand, was not a nice person, nasty to her competitors, smack-talking, and delusional.
Her last comment, "I should have won." sums it all up.
No, you shouldn't.No, you didn't.
Congrats Paul!

Good news for California, bad news for H8ers.
A new Field Poll shows greater support for same-sex marriage than ever before in California.
Fifty-nine-percent approve of equality now. And, apparently, the most significant gains came from Catholics, Latinos, and older voters, who realize now that NOM and the Mormon Church lied their asses off with all their fear-mongering and hate back in '08.
In a separate question, 51% of respondents said gays should be allowed to marry--up from 44% two years ago. Just 29% support civil unions but not marriage and only 15% favor no legal recognition at all because they're still living in caves.
Maybe California will one day, soon, do the right thing.

Programming note:
We have family coming to visit next week, and while I have some pre-planned things to get through the week, posting will be extremely light; unless I post some pictures of our adventures hither and yon.
Well, maybe not pictures of Yon, they're kinda racist up there.
But Hither is nice.

Most Iowans Are Pro-Equality

As I always suspected, the majority of Iowans are clearheaded when it comes to equality.
According to a new poll, the majority of Iowans stand opposed to passing a state constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriage, by a margin of 56% to 36%.
This is up slightly from a February 2011 poll, when equality won out by a margin of 54% to 40%.
Twenty-six-year old Ben Tuttleputs it simply: “Equality for all.” But Lou O’Brien, 50, disagrees, "I believe in the original family unit. That is the way I was brought up.”
On the surface it seems that age makes a difference, but, according to the new poll, support for that constitutional ban fails to reach a majority in any age group. It is, however, strictly divided along party lines, with 64% of Republicans in favor of keeping LGBT citizens as second class citizens.
It was back in Ott-Nine that the Iowa state Supreme Court unanimously ruled same-sex marriage was legal, but in November 2010, voters removed from office three of those pro-equality justices who were on the ballot. The issue has faded this legislative session with the proposed amendment remaining roadblocked in the Senate.
The amendment was approved in the Republican-controlled Iowa House last year, but Democratic leader Michael Gronstal blocked it from consideration in the Senate.
So, while it's being debated here and there, proposed and blocked here and there, the facts remain quite clear. Most Iowans are not at all bothered by the idea of gay couples marrying.
As Democratic Senator, Matt McCoy, the Legislature’s only openly gay member, says, “I think most Iowans recognize that this issue has very little to do with them and their lives, and it certainly doesn’t impact their marriages or the way they live their lives. It is really more about allowing people to be able to commit to people they love.”
Word.
Except for, way to go Iowans.
