This Tale of Tuxedo is from March 2010 and is entitled Tell Me.................... ..........am I a bad parent because I gave my cat a leopard pillow? |

I don’t eat fast food; I have but I haven’t in years. So
imagine my surprise when one day last week I found myself in line at McDonalds
for no apparent reason … |

Apparently there are some people calling the DC Reflecting
Pool the Straight of Warm Ooze. |

Aaron Shandel hails from South Africa and was discovered while catching waves in his hometown of Cape Town and if you caught him, Would You Hit It? |

Every reported who is slandered by HWSNBN should sue, the case would be tossed based on sovereign immunity, but as long as hE can sue, they should make him respond to the cases asking for a dismissal. Congress needs to change the law, that if hE can sue, he can be sued.
ReplyDeleteWhat's good for the goose is good for the criminal gander.
DeleteI was just thinking the other day when Jeanine Pirro was talking about prosecuting the “vandals”, what about the hooligans who stormed the Capitol? The hypocrisy is simply unbelievable. Yay team algae!
ReplyDeleteNo mention was made of the fact that Cankles and his minions drove their armored limos into the reflecting pool before it was filled up with water again.
DeletePerhaps they are the actual vandals.
I learned a long time ago that it is always better to type texts. Wouldn't it be nice if that reflecting pool was the death of him.
ReplyDeleteSadly, with Carlos' eyesight he needs to voice text through Siri.
DeleteOne rule for the rich and entitled, no rule for the rest.
ReplyDeleteAs the song says ♫♪That's just the way it ids♪♫
DeleteMuch as I would hate to be in prison, I would feel smirched to be pardoned by Donald Duck.
ReplyDeleteThose that he pardons, like him, feel they have done nothing wrong.
Deletethe dog's mother
ReplyDelete(Carlos) (Tuxedo always)
xoxo :-)
💯💯💯
DeleteI wonder if network TV would even air "Will & Grace" now. I think they'd be afraid of fallout from Trump's minions in the FCC. They'd be accused of promoting DEI or some bullshit like that.
ReplyDeleteTwo-tier policing -- it's real, but not in the way that conservatives think!
I wonder that, too, Steve. DEI and all that.
DeleteI had a run-in years back with a former co-worker who intruded in on a conversation between myself and another co-worker about the rash of police shootings of People of Color, and she tried to tell me just as many white people get shot by the police but you don't here about it because, ahem, "white people don't act like that."
She showed up at our office this week and then I saw that photo and the story.
A thought-provoking mix of humor, personal memories, social commentary, and heartfelt tribute. The text exchange made me smile, while the reflections on justice and equality gave me pause.
ReplyDeleteCarlos and Siri are a joy.
DeleteAmerica, like most of the world, has a long way to go toward equality.
Hey Bob!! First off, Tuxedo looks completely justified on that leopard pillow—no bad parenting there. Second, you can't just leave us hanging on the McDonald's drive-thru mystery! Did you at least get some fries while you were inexplicably trapped in line? 🍟 Carlos and Siri's communication breakdown is pure gold.
ReplyDeleteSiri and Carlos have a very special relationship!
DeleteAnd I just watched him place his order and then I just followed him outside where I lost him in traffic.
Big sigh!
Gotta say, I enjoy your blog and love your humor.
ReplyDeleteAs a heterosexual woman, I can’t get too excited about the models you frequently put on your blog, but wonder about the appropriateness of the shot of the military man. It’s one thing to publish beefcake of men who are willingly photographed, but if this were my backside photographed and published without my consent, I’d be pretty upset. Just a thought.
To be fair, the military man is faceless and nameless and no one knows where the photo was taken so it's not as though anyone could find him; and many of those men are actually models.
DeleteBut you can get excited about the men; not all are gay, and there's a little something for everyone.
I have very mixed feelings about Will and Grace, but I do think on the whole, it was beneficial, and as Burrows is quoted, if it made one kid less homophobic....
ReplyDeletePeople thought of it as comedic fluff, but it made a statement for it's time.
DeleteLove the.bridge sign! There is another fight I'd like him to lose.
ReplyDeleteI think he will...
DeleteYep, race has EVERYTHING to do with it. Shame Shame Shame.
ReplyDeleteIs shoe molding the bit under the cabinets, sitting on the floor? We call that the "kickboard" and some clever homes here have that space made into drawers that slide out when lightly kicked or nudged with the fingers, very handy for storage of flat trays etc.
Shoe molding goes along the baseboards at floor level.
DeleteIn French they say "coucou" for "hi there" but one time my neighbour was using my phone (programmed in English) to send a message to her father. He called her and asked why she said "couscous" - is that what she wanted? Another time when I was working we had to type up these huge documents. This was before computers and spellchecks. One of the economists had written "ipso facto" several times in the document but the girl typing it had written "if so fatso" all the way through. That's a whole lot of tipex that was used that day!
ReplyDelete"If so fatso"! That could have been a huge mess! 😁😁😁
DeleteSiri has som splainin to do.
ReplyDeleteThe facts in black & white are always devastating.
Nice to see McDonald’s has upped their buns.
I still won't eat the MickeyD's but I might get in line ....
DeleteSiri always has 'splaining to do!!!
