I love a good Hollywood story with those twists and turns that you just never see coming. Like that movie, The Congressman With No Brain But A Mouth As Big As All Outdoors. You remember it? It premiered last Wednesday night? The one where the Congressman calls the President a liar at a Joint Session of Congress?
Yeah, that one.
It was good, for all the wrong reasons, until you hear the twist.
See, in the pivotal scene, Brainless Joe Wilson, of the Great State of South Carolina :::::cough cough:::: shouted "You lie!" as the president spoke about how the the health care bill would not cover, let's say it again WOULD NOT COVER, illegal immigrants.
The next day, as he steps through the ruins of his office, he announces, via videotape: “The supporters of the government takeover of health care and liberals who want to give health care to illegals are using my opposition as an excuse to distract from the critical questions being raised about this poorly conceived plan.”
But, like I said, there's a twist.
Get your popcorn and Raisinettes and Coke or Pepsi, and listen up.
In 2003, Joe "You Lie!" Wilson voted to provide federal funds for illegal immigrants’ health care. Yes, he voted FOR health care FOR illegal immigrants. The same thing he is so against today!
I. Did. Not. See. That. Coming.
