For $5.3M you can own one of only a few built estates on 5.95 acres of land on the best stretch of Papohaku Beach, one of Hawaii’s largest white sand beaches, in Maunaloa, Molokai, Hawaii.
The main home features an open plan living, dining and kitchen area that opens to a covered lanai and views of the beach and ocean. There are two oceanfront suites, each with a private bath, a plunge pool, expansive, Ipe hardwood decking, Fleetwood windows and doors, and custom architectural woodwork throughout. There is also a guest cottage with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and storage lofts, a pool cabana for entertaining, a 15’ x 40’ heated saltwater swimming pool and a separate 3-car garage with an attached rec room.
The property is powered by photovoltaic solar and offers 4,754 square feet of interior living space—in the two dwellings—plus nearly 5,000 square feet of lanais. A mature orchard is planted with many fruit-bearing trees including lemon, tangerine, lime, grapefruit, starfruit, mango, avocado, orange, banana, and coconut.
Unplug and slow down as you meander, meditate and reflect, or stay connected with the fiber optic high-speed internet. Watch whales in the winter and brilliant summer sunsets over the ocean in this family compound, personal retreat, equestrian property, or create your own blue zone.
Embrace the joy of solitude and discover the peace and tranquility of Molokai’s sunny west end, just a 30 min flight from Maui or Oahu. Surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty and some of the richest waters in the Pacific, Molokai’s slower pace of life is an antidote to modern hustle and the return to a more conscious way of living.
Wow! I could easily live there!
ReplyDeleteHaving been to Molokai many times I can attest to how peaceful and beautiful it is!
DeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteIt really is ... I'd live in the guest house and rent out the main space for some extra coins.
Delete🏝🏖🥰 Absolute beauty! Of course I can live there...sittin' at the pool watchin' that sunset! If there is a negative, it's in my own mind. I really love watching the Pacific more from rocky shores (did I say Pebble Beach?) than from expansive sand! For me, waves are s'posed to crash against boulders and cliffs!! Either way, if it's the Pacific, I'm on board!! 🤩
ReplyDeleteI also like the rockier coastline of, say, Northern California into Oregon myself, but ... if forced to, I could live there!
DeleteIf we all pooled our money and then robbed a bank.... 🤣
ReplyDeleteThat is stunning. Not usually a fan of so much wood, but that's how it must be done in the salt air: wood, stone, glass, and plastic. The beach just screams for me to be there - naked, of course.
I'm glad you added "and robbed a bank" ... cuz that's about the only way that's happening.
DeleteI can appreciate the Aesthetics of this home being in its location, but that is so not me. But now the exterior with those views ,what's not too long. The only part of this is saddens me is the size of these homes taking up so much beautiful land. Progress, sigh
ReplyDeleteYou could live just as nicely in a small spot, which is why I'd live in the guesthouse and rent out the main house for parties and corporate retreats!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful views!
xoxo :-)
I love Molokai!
DeleteI love the outside and the scenery that one has to look at everyday---I have always been a practical girl and the cost of bringing anything in from the main land is astronomical----Like living in Alaska---If money was not a option----Ok---But it's a little too much wood for me----And a few of those bathrooms are huge----Better space allocation----
ReplyDeleteI enjoy a big bathroom ... I like listening to music while soaking in the tub and I could get a nice three-piece combo and a singer in the room with me.
DeleteWood or no wood, I love this one! of course, if I had the money I could live in a grass shack in Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteRight? I'd only need a small itsy bitsy piece of sand ....
DeletePerfect location, masses of space, but far too much wood for me. Just as well, really, as there's no chance of me ever buying something like that!! 😟
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling. I don't mind all the wood but, yeah, not a snowball's chance in Hell that I could afford that house!
DeleteThis is beautiful! Cosy and comfortable, lovely layout and the scenery is amazing. Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada.
ReplyDeleteIt is a gorgeous spot on the plant, and I love the indoor-outdoor feel of the house.
DeleteThanks for commenting!
Beautiful, however at that size clearly not a house to be lived in but instead to host parties for a whole bunch of people I wouldn’t like. I’d still have to come in and tear out tile, change the stairs and loft above the kitchen, and replace the furniture. It’s fun to pick apart a home I couldn’t possibly afford.
ReplyDeleteI love doing that ... "Well, if I'm spending $7M I'd need an entire new kitchen."
DeleteAs if ...
That's a LOT of money.
ReplyDeleteIt's also a lot of house. I remember Upton said that everything has to be brought to the islands, so I guess that's why it's so expensive. The views are spectacular.
XOXO
The cost of living is very high because everything arrives by ship!
