Why Is It ...

… that people don’t realize they need to look both ways before getting on my nerves?

… that people who ask me if they can show me something are shocked when I say, “Absolutely not. I am in the ‘unseeing’ phase of life.”

… that when I tell people I have too much to do, it means I am going to lie down for three hours.

… that no one realizes that “Stop, Drop and Roll” doesn’t just work to put out a fire. I use it to get out of many social situations.

… that I often make car alarm noises when people I don’t like try to touch me?

… that one day you’re young and carefree and up for anything, and the next you’re looking out your kitchen window and saying. “Is that a Tufted Titmouse at my birdfeeder.”?

… that many times I don’t know if I’m fighting demons, or if I’m the demon?

… that this is enough todaying for today? I’m done, Thanks.

  1. I giggled at the tufted titmouse one. Surely you are not as grumpy as these "Why is it?" posts suggest! Then again - maybe you are.

    1. Oh, I can be quite grumpy, and quite amusing, and quite insane, all in a day's work!

  2. I'm surprised you have a bird feeder, let alone a tufted titmouse.

    1. We have a few way out in the yard and some hummingbird feeders on the deck; I like my feathered friends.

    1. I imagine you have given all your animal visitors, including the tufted titmouse, drag names!

  5. Him indoors is at the tufted titmouse phase, but he hasn't got a clue about bird species and he usually gets it wrong. Yesterday there was a young hedgehog feeding on the seeds left under the feeder .

    1. In all honesty, I wouldn't know a tufted titmouse from an UNtufted titmouse; we mostly get hummingbirds at the feeders!

"Tufted Titmouse" is a pretty decent band name! ๐ŸŽธ Car alarm sounds like a winner...gotta try it! ๐Ÿ”Š I know a guy who claims that when someone random knocks on his door, he goes over and knocks from the inside and the rando hightails it pretty quick...gotta try that one, too! ๐Ÿ˜

    1. Luckily we don't get too many strangers at the door to Casa Bob y Carlos ... perhaps it's the woods surrounding the house and the dark narrow gravel driveway ... or maybe they know two queers live in that house.
      Whatever. Works for me!

  9. Tend to your demons. They follow you wherever you go.

BTW Please assure us that Tufted Titmouse is not your drag persona.

  10. Apparently, I'm not the only one feeling seen in reference to the bird feeder. In my case though it is warblers and juncos. :)
