It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like ....

The Camden Opera House strung with lights for the holidays is sure a pretty sight!

  1. We need the spirit of Christmas lights and such this year to lift the soul.

  2. Although I often find myself totally embarrassed by Texas politics and reluctant to admit I live here, I must say the San Antonio riverwalk is spectacular at Christmas - here is a website with pictures as you scroll down - enjoy!!

  3. An opera house? Lucky, lucky you. Do you take Carlos to the opera? All we get in this cultural neck of the woods are live relays at the cinema from the Met and the Royal Opera House.

It is a purty sight, and since its our tallest downtown building t=you can see it for miles.

It always makes me smile; it's so small town.

    A beacon!

    Lovely pictures too.

A lot of small towns have their own opera houses. Sadly, ours hasn't been in operation for many years. They have recently decided to turn it into a boutique hotel and restaurant which is something we nee.

It's the town clock tower, too, so it chimes the hour as well!

    It is a joy

  7. Beautiful. Would love to see a photo spread of the opera house. There's one in Stoughton Wisconsin that I adore.

Sadly, while it still stands, it hasn't been an actual opera house for years. There is a plan to turn the whole building into a boutique hotel, as we have a Fine Arts Center with a theater. I just love the architecture, the Christmas lights and the fact that the clock up top chimes the hours!
