Ain't That America V

Well, what a week or so it's been in America … The Felon has launched a propaganda website …RFK Jr. once again proved himself mentally ill … The Felon admitted that tariffs will hurt Americans … Pam Bondi went full Nazi and stupid  … a Nebraska GOP asshat laid out plans to gut Medicaid while Lying Mike Johnson said there would be no cuts … DOGE is the Cybertruck of government agencies … The Felon’s first 100 days were golf and lies, and lies about golf …the GOP and planes don’t mix …Marco Rubio lived his parent’s dream of becoming an anti-immigrant fascist … the GOP clearly puts party over country, but … the Equality Act is up for a new vote … a wrongfully detained man was released .. Mark Carney and Canada .. pools show The Felon to be the worst … and impeachment charges were brought up …

The White House has launched its own Drudge Report-esque website—White House Wire—to spotlight positive news stories on The Felon.

Talk about your fake news.

Heroin addict and victim of a brain worm, Robert Kennedy Jr claims that the MMR, or Measles, vaccine contains a lot of aborted fetus debris and DNA particles.

No. Seriously.

The Felon acknowledged that toy shortages are possible as his tariff hikes ripple through the economy after the CEOs of Walmart, Target and Home Depot privately warned him about the likelihood of shortages and price spikes.

Huh. It’s almost as if he admits he’s a liar.

In the midst of The Felon’s major immigration crackdown and violent law enforcement techniques, Attorney General Barbie Pam Bondi boasted about her plans to kill American citizens:

“That’s keeping America safe. We’ve rescinded the death penalty. I’m signing death warrants.”

Bondi also claimed that “119 million lives have been saved” due to fentanyl seizures and the next day that number more than doubled to 258 million.

There are 340 million Americans so is she suggesting that anywhere from 35% to 75% of us are hooked on fentanyl or is she just another blithering lying fascist idiot.

Nebraska’s GOP Representative Don Bacon is drawing a red line on Medicaid cuts saying he won’t accept more than $500 billion in reductions to the program.

Just $500B.

On the other side, Hose Speaker Little Lying Mike Johnson, Nationalist Christian or Nat-C, says do not believe the lies the Democrat Party says about the GOP gutting Medicaid.

Even the GOP doesn’t have an effing clue as to what they’re ]doing.

DOGE promised $2 trillion in savings but now says it has saved the government just $160 billion but, in fact, the government has actually been spending more compared to this time last year as spending rose by $156 billion since The Felon took office.

Grifters, all of ‘em.

The Felon’s First 100 Days:

He promised to reduce the price of eggs and then egg prices reached record highs. He promised to bring everyday prices down but everyday prices have risen. He promised a booming economy but tanked the stock market. He promised to create jobs and then fired 100s of 1000s of government workers.

And then there was SignalGate, trade wars, Social Security benefits at risk, deported citizens, declassified the JFK files—but not the Epstein files, ended federal support for paper straws, ended production of the penny.

But the rich got their tax breaks so …

An F/-18E Super Hornet assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman was lost at sea during a towing incident in the hangar bay on Monday.

The plane cost $66 million.

What is it with this regime and airplanes?

In addition to El Salvador, The Felon’s regime is seeking other countries willing to accept illegally deported people from America and Marco Rubio, whose family escaped the fascist Castro regime in Cuba only to see their son join a fascist regime, says:

“We want to send you some of the most despicable human beings to your countries … the further away the better.”

He wants these Latino immigrants sent to Libya and Rwanda.

His family must be so proud.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul is open to renaming New York’s Penn Station after The Felon after his regime announced that the federal government would take over its redevelopment.

Stepping with the fascists, Kathy? Because you’ll re=name it after him and then he’ll pull funding.

That’s what grifters do.

House Republican leaders are moving to thwart Democratic efforts to probe DUI hired Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s controversial use of Signal, using their power to stop the minority party from forcing a vote that could embarrass The Felon.

Anything goes in the Party Over Country group as long as their gelatinous tub of lard doesn’t look bad.

As leaders in the House and Senate are set to reintroduce the Equality Act—historic federal legislation that would ensure comprehensive nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ+ people everywhere—a coalition of civil rights organizations urgently calls for the legislation’s swift passage.

The bill’s reintroduction comes amidst a dangerous rise in anti-LGBTQ+ legislative and executive actions, including the erosion of nondiscrimination protections and weaponization of federal authorities against marginalized communities.

The nonpartisan Public Religion Research Institute found that national support for the Equality Act topped 75 %, including a majority of Republicans and Independents.

But fascists in power … the march goes on.

A federal judge dealt a blow to The Felon’s regime and ordered the release  of Columbia University student Mohsen Mahdawi, who was arrested at his U.S. citizenship appointment.

Now do Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

One thing to remember during The Felon’s first 100 days that he helped Mark Carney win the Canadian election.

I mean, he did that one thing right, eh?

A majority of Americans say The Felon is a “dangerous dictator” who poses a threat to democracy and believe he’s overstepped his authority by actions such as the mass firing of federal employees and the illegal deportations without due process.

Forty percent of Americans expressed favorable views.

Fifty-two percent expressed unfavorable views.

Forty percent still seems high.

Great Britain and the European Union are set to sign a formal declaration committing to “free and open trade” in defiance of The Felon’s tariff agenda.

A leaked draft seen by POLITICO promises a “new strategic partnership” between London and Brussels based on “maintaining global economic stability and our mutual commitment to free and open trade.”

The rest of the world will turn away from us thanks to the Bankruptcy King.

This week Democrat Congressman from Michigan, Shri Thanedar, introduced articles of impeachment against The Felon citing a sweeping abuse of power, flagrant violations of the Constitution, and acts of tyranny that undermine American democracy and threaten the rule of law.

Doubtful much will come of this right now, but the Cultists and Fox news are already playing the race card and wondering how someone named Shri Thanedar was elected to political office.

Why Is It ...

… that people need to learn that trying to talk to me on Messenger is like trying to talk to a wall in your house.

… that most days I want  to put an ‘Out of Order’ sticker on my head and call it a day.

… that when we were younger we wanted to be adults so badly and now look at us. Just fucking look at us!

… that whatever you’re heard about me, know that I can be way worse.

… that the other day I heard a guy in a store on his cell phone saying, “Susan, I’m in the car right now on my way home,” and I yelled, “No, he’s not. He’s at the store.” Nobody lies to Susan in front of me.

… that if you think money doesn’t bring happiness, transfer some to my account.

… that my sister once said that I didn’t respect her privacy, and I only know that because I read it in her diary.

… that I don’t know why, but I love to mess around and find out sometimes.

… that I like to say to someone, when I meet them for the first time, “You’re exactly what I expected.”Ah, establishing dominance.

… that I hate it when I lose things at work … like my favorite pen or my fucking will to live.

I Didn't Say It ...

Mark Carney, newly elected Liberal Prime Minister of Canada:

“As I’ve been warned, America wants our land, our resources, our water, our country. But these are not idle threats. [The Felon] is trying to break us so that America can own us. That will never, that will never ever happen [but] we are once again at one of those hinge moments of history. Our old relationship with the United States, a relationship based on steadily increasing integration, is over. The system of open global trade anchored by the United States, a system that Canada has relied on since the Second World War, a system that, while not perfect, has helped deliver prosperity for a country for decades, is over. But it’s also our new reality. We are over the shock of the American betrayal, but we should never forget the lessons. We have to look out for ourselves and above all we have to take care of each other … We will chart a new path forward because this is Canada and we decide what happens here … we can give ourselves far more than the Americans can ever take away. But even given that, I want to be clear, the coming days and months will be challenging, and they will call for some sacrifices. But we will share those sacrifices by supporting our workers and our businesses … We do things because they’re right, not because they’re easy and we see kindness as a virtue, not as a weakness. Most importantly, we know that our strength lies in our resolve to work together as a country … We are supporting our friends and neighbors in the crosshairs of [The Felon] through a crisis that we did not create … We will fight back with everything we have to get the best deal for Canada. We will protect our workers and businesses, and above all, we will build an independent future for our great country. A future that makes the greatest country on earth even better. Together, we will build a Canada worthy of our values. We will build Canada strong, Canada free, Canada forever. Vive la Canada.”

Nice to hear a leader talk of unity and kindness and progress.

We could have had that here, too …

Cory Booker, New Jersey Democrat Senator, :

“Do you think we got the right to vote for women because a bunch on men on the House floor got together and said, ‘On the count of three, women get the right to vote.’ That’s not how it happened. Change doesn’t come from Washington; change comes to Washington.”

Change comes from the streets and the parks and the plazas where Americans gather to protest an unhinged president and his sycophants planting their lips to his ass.

Resist.

Andrew Napolitano, a former judge and judicial analyst for the far-right Newsmax network, condemns The Felon’s arrest of Judge Hannah Dugan for allegedly impeding ICE's arrest of an undocumented migrant:

"An administrative warrant is not an arrest warrant. No judge would recognize an administrative warrant. So [Dugan]'s on the bench, there's a commotion in the hallway involving ... the defendant who's in front of her, for some sort of a low-level assault and battery. She goes out to see what the commotion is and they say, 'We're here to arrest this guy' and she basically says 'Well you're not going to interrupt with my proceeding. We don't permit arrests in the courtroom. You can wait in the hallway or you can wait for him outside. Let me see your arrest warrant.' 'We don't have one.' They have this administrative warrant, which is basically one ICE agent authorizing another ICE agent to detain someone. So I don't think there's a crime here. I think she has immunity. She can decide how a person leaves her courtroom. On the other hand, I can understand how the feds want to make a big deal out of this. They don't like anyone, least of all judges, interfering with the orderly process of arresting people. I just think this was the wrong one for them to do and then they showed pictures of her in handcuffs and all of that kind of stuff which is a violation of several regulations. I think they overreached by arresting her. If there's an issue in a white collar case with a public official like there was here in New York with Mayor Adams, you don't stop him on the street and put handcuffs on him, you say to his lawyer 'We need to talk to you about whether or not you will voluntarily surrender because we're about to charge you with a crime but because they're on a bit of a jihad against judges, they decided to make an example out of this. I think this is the wrong case out of which to make an example. I think she has immunity. She can decide where a person leaves her courtroom from and what she says to that person, and she can't be prosecuted for it."

Napolitano is right, by the rule of law; this arrest has nothing to do with upholding the law and everything to do with intimidating the judicial branch on behalf of [The Felon]'s fascist agenda.

Judge Dugan should be released immediately.

Rachel Maddow, out MSNBC correspondent, on The Felon’s first 100 days and his failures:

“There has never been a president who has botched the first 100 days of his presidency more than [The Felon] has. “You don’t have to take that as a subjective view. It’s the view shown in scientific polling of the American public. The public is deeply, deeply, deeply against what [The Felon]  is doing. He’s been very radical in his first hundred days and I think we knew that would be true, but I don’t think we knew he would turn the American public, including a large portion of his own base, against him so quickly, that the public would be willing again and again and again to go protest and say no and rise up against him, that he would fare so uniformly disastrously in court. He’s just been clobbered in the courts in dozens and dozens and dozens of cases already. He’s really flailed. All of this stuff that they have done and then undone, does reflect the radicalism and their ability and willingness to just destroy but they haven’t done a lot of it on purpose. They’ve done a lot of it despite themselves. They’re failure has created wreckage in the U.S. government … They’re [just] not that good at doing what they’re actually trying to do. That momentum is going to be the story of the second 100 days and beyond. Their incompetence, their inability to defend what they’re doing and the American people in a louder and louder and more intense way, just telling them, ‘Nope you’re not doing it.'”

Maddow does not believe The Felon has been any more efficient in his second term than he was in his first and pointed out the administration’s “litany of mistakes” it has had to walk back on, like accidentally firing and scrambling to rehire people in charge of crucial initiatives, like bird flu prevention and nuclear weapons management.

It’s like the insane are running the asylum.

JB Pritzker, Illinois Democrat governor,  telling Democrats in New Hampshire that the party needs to step up:

“Fellow Democrats, for far too long we’ve been guilty of listening to a bunch of do-nothing political types who would tell us that America’s house is not on fire, even as the flames are licking their faces. Today, as the blaze reaches the rafters, the pundits and politicians—whose simpering timidity served as kindle for the arsonists—urge us now not to reach for a hose. Meanwhile, if we took care to listen to the voices of real people, we would hear our neighbors and friends standing on the street outside screaming for a response, one big enough for a five-alarmer. Never before in my life have I called for mass protests, for mobilization, for disruption. But I am now. These Republicans cannot know a moment of peace. They must understand that we will fight their cruelty with every megaphone and microphone that we have. We must castigate them on the soap box … and then punish them at the ballot box. Today, it’s an immigrant with a tattoo. Tomorrow, it’s a citizen with a Facebook post that annoys [The Felon]. Time to stop apologizing when we were not wrong. Time to stop surrendering when we need to fight. You are standing up for all the people [The Felon] has attacked. We must abandon the culture of incrementalism that has led us to swallow their cruelty and their callousness with barely a cowardly croak.”

The cult is already claiming Pritzker is threatening violence against them which is funny coming from a group of Nazis who stormed the capitol.

Stand up, speak up, be heard, resist!

Bobservations

The other night as we ate dinner, the kids of the family who live behind us were playing in their yard, and as kids do there was a lot of shrieking and screaming and laughing and yelling which spurred Carlos:

“I’m going to call over there and ask them to quiet down those kids.”

“No you are not. When I was that age [and these kids were 12 and 10 or so] we used to play with our friends and scream and shriek and yell.”

“Well, I don’t like it.”

“That’s because when you were an only child and at that age you were probably wearing a tutu and giving a piano recital.”

His sly smile told me I was probably correct.

This Tuxedo Says is from October 2020:

Tuxedo has discovered Twitter and really enjoys finding people’s Tweets and sharing them. This is one of his Favorites …

The owner of an Idaho bar and restaurant plans to host a two-day “Hetero Awesome Fest” outside of the state Capitol in Boise in June to coincide with LGBTQ Pride Month because there is no more oppressed group in the entire world who need a celebration to stoke their egos than straight people.

I may start a GoFundMe for them, but I’ll call it a GoFuckYourself.

After that last snippet, I’m’a need me some Summertime Beach Cakes to cleanse my palate.

Let’s try this again … because of the tariffs there are fewer ships arriving from China which means less work for dock workers … for truck drivers … for retailers and fewer dollars circulating.

It’s a cascading effect and will affect all of us.

RuPaul’s Drag Race icon Jinkx Monsoon, left, is eligible to be nominated for a Tony Award in the category, “Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical” for her performance in the musical ‘Pirates.’

Yes ma’am.

On the flip side, we lost the wonderful Jiggly Caliente, right, AKA Bianca Castro-Arabejo this past week.

May I call you Jiggly.

RIP

This is model Brennan Aldred and I don’t know how old he is or where he’s from or much of anything else so we’re flying blind here but: Would You Hit It?
