ExxonMobil is pro-discrimination in the workplace.
For over ten years....ten years...a proposal to add sexual orientation and gender identity to ExxonMobil's official equal employment opportunity policy has been voted down by company shareholders. And while more and more people are voicing support for these protections, the proposal still fails.
Before merging with Exxon, Mobil included sexual orientation in its equal employment opportunity policy , but that wording was removed when ExxonMobil was formed.
ExxonMobil is living in the past. Over 85% of Fortune 500 companies include sexual orientation in their nondiscrimination policies--all Fortune 50 companies have it as part of their official policy--and more than 35% include gender identity.
But not ExxonMobil. The LGBT employee doesn't matter to them.
I know where I WON'T be buying gas.
