Texas: “Wilbur Garces Perez, the man ICE shot on Sunday in Austin, has no criminal record. An ICE agent shot him anyway. He slept on a prison cell floor with a bullet still lodged in his back. He can’t move the left side of his body. This isn’t law enforcement, it’s lawlessness.” This is not America; we are
not going back to murdering people of color because we think they might be
criminals. Wilbur Garces Perez is not a criminal and he desrves justice
and those who shot him, dragged him to the ground and threw him on a bare concrete
floor need to be punished. |

And speaking of fences I'm on the fence with James Talarico. He is flim-flaming too much on trans rights...he supports a national ban on gendering affirming surgeries on minors and is against trans athletes in girls' sports. Better than the alternative... but he best snap out of it right quick. Jasmine Crockett refused to endorse him. But coming from her I take that as a grain of salt. She disappointed me with her support of Israel. I have a gut feeling he will be one to appear liberal but once in will turn into another Fetterman and side with conservatives more on the wrong issues.
We do need to remember, Maddie, that what it takes in TX is not what it takes in a more moderate or fully progressive state or district. As long as Talarico doesn't turn into a Fetterman, Manchin, or Sinema - -- in other words, being the ***one vote*** that kills legislation.

I'm hoping to, and we need to realize that the people of a country are not responsible for what their leaders do, even if those leaders were elected by a majority. It's the rulers and politicians to be held responsible.

Not providing him with the medical attention he obviously needed almost beggars belief - I say "almost" because we have come to expect such terrible things as The Orange Monster's notions filter down.
