The GQP Protects Their Own, Even When A Man Is Killed

South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg has pleaded not guilty to three misdemeanors … misdemeanors … related to a deadly car crash last Fall when Ravnsborg struck and killed Joseph Boever, but drove away because, he claimed, he thought he’d hit a deer.

Boever’s body was discovered the next day, and accidents happen, and people get confused about it all, but …

Investigators discovered that Ravnsborg, a RepubliQAnon, was reading websites containing conspiracy theories about President Joe Biden on his phone … while driving … right before the impact.

When authorities made that information public, the judge in the case, John Brown, ordered state officials to remove it from state-controlled internet sites. That order ultimately gave South Dakota GQPs an excuse to stop Ravnsbotg's impeachment proceedings.

Ravnsborg signed papers to indicate he understood his statutory and constitutional rights. He is charged with (1) operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile electronic device; (2) improper lane driving; and (3) careless driving. Each charge is a Class 2 Misdemeanor carrying a possible penalty of 30 days in a county jail and a fine of $500.

Notice he is not charged with vehicular manslaughter because I guess Joseph Boever’s life doesn’t matter to GQP’s in South Dakota,

The facts: Ravnsborg was traveling approximately 70 miles per hour and looking at his phone when he collided with Boever. He continued driving, but then pulled over a distance away and reported the incident to the local sheriff, who personally showed up to investigate. The sheriff issued Ravnsborg a “deer tag” to account for damage to his vehicle and loaned the attorney general a personal car to continue on his way. Ravnsborg said he didn’t see Boever’s body until the next day when he was returning the car to the sheriff. The sheriff apparently didn’t see Boever’s body, either, but … Joseph Boever’s glasses were found inside Ravnsborg’s car because Joseph Boever’s head came through the windshield.

But again if you’re a RepubliQAnon in South Dakota you don’t get charged with manslaughter. You get smacked for being on your phone and driving carelessly and making an improper lane change.

I hope to the goddess that Joseph Boever has family that files a multi-million-dollar civil suit against Ravnsborg especially since officials in South Dakota seem intent on protecting this killer.

This Bitch, Too: Kristopher Dreww

Kristopher Dreww, a gay man who was involved in last week's Capitol riots says he is now in fear for his life.

Um, no kidding queen. You attacked a federal building and what? Thought you’d get a pat on the head and a few likes on Instagram?

This is what This Bitch posted to social media that day:

"I just got back from storming the Capitol. It was successful. For all you bitches on Facebook going crazy talking about it was Antifa, and saying it wasn’t us, it was us. We proudly took back our Capitol. I’m only at the hotel to get some gear on, I’m going back, baby. They brought the National Guard out for us. We had the f**king cops running from us. Not because they are bitches but because they are smart. We did it. God it’s so exhilarating!”

And then people who, oh, I dunno, take issue with terrorists, came for This Bitch on social media and as all little pansy pseudo-terrorists do, This Bitch changed his tune:

“I do regret not doing my research and not knowing what people were in there. I am proud we took back our house, but I thought we took it back peacefully. I never went inside the Capitol. I am a waste of time [for authorities to investigate], but there are other people who did terrible things and should be arrested. I didn’t go to Washington for Donald _____. I went there for everyone’s vote to count.”

Poor little Drew sure sings a different tune now that he ….suddenly … realizes he was part of a terrorist plot? He didn’t know what he was doing, but he had ‘gear’ with him?

And he clearly isn’t that stupid, because he uses social media to talk up his MAGAt love calling himself the Adorable Deplorable.

Well, one of those words is true.

This Bitch: Dan Bongino

Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, a former Republican congressional candidate, and Parler investor, went apeshit on FOX & Friends earlier this week about the ultra-conservative extremist possibly terrorist social media platform being banned from Amazon, Apple, and Google, and their app stores, in the wake of the domestic terror attack on the Capitol:

“We were wiped out! … I have not slept all weekend. They have effectively tried to bankrupt me and my investors on Parler, and you know what? They won. … They wiped a company from the face of the Earth this morning, and liberals and the media are celebrating it. What are we gonna talk by? Carrier pigeon? You think this is gonna help? You think this is gonna de-radicalize everyone, pushing them underground? What planet do you live on?”

Yes, this dick went on the most popular news organization in the world to complain that he’s been silenced.

Oh the idiocy.

Ricky Schroder Bails Out A Murderer ... And Smiles About It

First off, I am not anti-Second Amendment. If people want guns, and they can be responsible gun owners, then have at it. I have, at this point, no need or desire to own any type of gun, but that’s just me.

However, on August 25, 2020, the city of Kenosha, Wisconsin erupted in protests after the police shooting on Black man Jacob Blake.

The Murderer—I will not say his name here—a 17-year-old from Antioch, Illinois, illegally purchased an AR-15 rifle and traveled thirty miles, across state lines, to defend …. Well, no one really knows what he was doing there, we only know he came armed and hoped to confront protesters. At some point, this armed teenager, allowed to roam freely armed through the protest. At one point, The Murderer says protesters began chasing him and physically confronting him, so he shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and injure Gaige Grosskreutz.

The Murderer was arrested and charged with multiple counts of homicide and unlawful possession of a firearm, while Dominick Black, of Antioch, was arrested and charged with unlawfully supplying a weapon to The Murderer, whose attorneys claim he acted in self-defense upon hearing a firearm discharge and in response to the numerous physical confrontations by protesters.

The very protesters he drove across state lines to confront after illegally purchasing an assault style weapon.

That alone makes me hope he rots in jail, and he was about to, at least until his trial started—his bail was set at $2 million—when a group of Christians—who missed that one Commandment about not killing—began collecting money for his bail.

And last week, his lawyer, Lin Wood Tweeted out that actor Rocky Schroder gave the last boost of cash—$150,000—that set The Murderer free while awaiting trial.

Again, you like the Second Amendment, good for you; but when a child, and seventeen is a child, illegally buys a weapon, and travels across state lines in what would appear to be an attempt to hunt protesters and then kills two and injures a third, and you think he should be free on bail, you’re a special kind of stupid, or …

You’re Ricky Schroder.

PS Ricky? Asshat? Where was your bail check for Kenneth Walker, Breonna Taylor’s boyfriend, who had the right to own a weapon, and the right to carry a weapon, shot a police officer he believed to be breaking into his home? Or do you only bail out white people?

When Wingnuts Attack ... Students Fight Back

Of course I stand with the students from Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida; I’ve stood with everyone who has come out in favor of responsible, sensible, common sense gun control, no matter who they are or their age.

Sadly, many on the right, those _____ supporters and lackeys, those rightwingnut news hacks, those NRA lapdogs, feel the same; but that’s okay. It’s okay to have a difference of opinion, but let’s talk. Let’s not name call and badmouth and attack these students; they aren’t Hitler Youth as one Fox News nut said; Emma Gonzalez if not a skinhead lesbian as a GOP politician claimed.

But we’ll talk today about Laure Ingraham, a Fox News pundit, and “Good” Christian, who has an issue with the Parkland students, most notably David Hogg, who has been eloquently vocal in his calls for gun control.

Ingraham took to her own show last week, Fox News’ Ingraham Angle to openly mock 17-year-old David Hogg for getting rejected by four colleges:

Yes, a grown woman who shares a different view on a topic than does Hogg, didn’t discuss their differences, but chose instead to make fun of Hogg for being rejected by four University of California schools. Of note, is that the news came out about his four rejections from David Hogg, himself, but still Ingraham slipped into the much to attack the young man.

In the six weeks since the shooting, Hogg has emerged as a leading student voice for gun control. But, sadly, in _____’s America, when you disagree with the Fat Bastard and his rightwingnut evangelical Christian hypocrite base, you spark a smear campaign that started out small, but has gathered steam thanks to fools like Ingraham who don’t understand how to have an intelligent discussion with people of opposing viewpoints.

And this isn’t the first time Ingraham has mocked David Hogg; the day before he spoke at the March For Our Lives rally, Ingraham mocked him for using profanity in a video interview in which he called politicians who refuse to consider gun control “sick fuckers.”

Um, is that wrong, because that’s exactly how I feel when politicians sit by and watch Americans slaughtered time after time and then just send out a meaningless ‘Thoughts and Prayer’ Tweet.

Too bad Laura Ingraham didn’t understand that the pendulum just might be swinging back toward the middle, if not the left, because David Hogg, after her series of attacks, took to Twitter himself and call for a boycott of her show’s sponsors:

Soon after, at least four of Ingraham's advertisers—Wayfair, Expedia, TripAdvisor and pet food brand Nutrish—announced that they were pulling their commercials from her program.
And then guess what? Laura Ingraham decided then, when money was being taken from her show, and her pocket, that maybe she should apologize:

And Isn’t it lovely that she thought it necessary to mention Holy Week, as though a real Christian would attack a student; Ingraham is one of those fake Christians who trots out her faith whenever she tries to make a point because if she really lived life as a Christian the last thing she’d want to do is attack a young man who watched seventeen of his fellow classmates shot to death.

And David Hogg wasn’t having the apology, either; he noted that it wasn’t enough and only came about when her advertisers began to flee:

"She's only apologizing after a third of her advertisers pulled out. I think it's great that corporate America is standing with me and the rest of my friends, because when you come against any one of us, whether it be me or anybody else, you're coming against all of us. And I think it's important that we stand together as both corporate and civic America to take action against these people and show them that they cannot push us around, especially when all we're trying to do here is save lives."
Look, we can all disagree, though how we can disagree about the need to do something to stop the flow of blood from mass shootings, is beyond me, but, yeah, we can disagree; but let’s talk; let’s communicate; let’s discuss.

Let’s not stoop to the level of a Laura Ingraham and attack high school students because, well, that’s just plain stupid.

PS Laura Ingraham suddenly decided to take a week off, possibly in the hope that her show will stop hemorrhaging cash; too bad she doesn’t care as much about Americans hemorrhaging blood in schools and malls and churches and concerts and …and …and …

This.That.

So .... vacation.

Tuxedo wanted to go and tried to stowaway in a suitcase but, alas, was unsuccessful.

It was lovely and peaceful and fun and we got to meet up with friends we hadn’t seen since we left, but ... while it took us about nine-and-a-half-hours to make the nine-hour-and-seventeen minute drive to Ft. Lauderdale on this road:

It took us two hours to drive the 53-minute drive from Ft Lauderdale to our hotel on this road:

But once there we found a local Cuban restaurant, La Carreta, was right nearby and I got my Caldo Gallego fix. For those who don’t know, Caldo Gallego is a white bean and broth soup with pork and it was the perfect capper after a day of driving.

We had a few appointments to take care of while down there but we also visited the Fairchild Tropical Gardens, a favorite spot of ours while we lived there.

They had a new butterfly house and this guy seemed to want to attach himself to me and come back to South Carolina.

Alas, he could not, but ... whilst walking we happened upon this guy and I begged Carlos to let me bring him home—the cats love to play with lizards—but Carlos the Spoilsport, AKA The rational thinker, said, ‘No.’ But seriously we must have seen 6 or 8 of these beauties and many more of a smaller variety lounging about in the gardens.

We also met up with our friend Benjamin and his boyfriend, Ralph, for a trip to Shubui, our favorite Sushi place. Sadly, the weather had turned cool so Carlos and I donned light sweaters with our shorts and shoes. Benjamin and Ralph, South Floridians forever, wore long-sleeves and long pants and literally raced from the car to the restaurant because of how cold it was that night.

It.Was.Sixty.Eight.Degrees. Carlos and I laughed when we told them that that morning, in our hometown, it was 14 degrees and we’d had snow fall—we heard the news from our pet-sitter. Still, Benjamin and Ralph ran whenever we were outside and cranked the heat in the car to stave off the chill ... of 68 degrees.

It was a nice getaway—nicer because we avoided the horrific cold here for the warmth down South—but, as Seinfeld does, and as I do, I immediately calculate how many hours until we can get home, minus the time sleeping of course.

As much as I love to go away and see old friends and favorite places. I love coming home.
In high-larious news, AKA News of the Stupid, a neo-Nazi group has postponed its planned march in downtown Whitefish, Montana because they couldn’t come up with the $125 fee.

Andrew Anglin, publisher of The Daily Stormer, had planned the march in praise of white supremacist Richard Spencer, but mailed the city of Whitefish an incomplete application seeking a special event permit.

Anglin wrote on his hate-site: “I have spoken at length with my lawyers – though the ACLU has yet to respond to my inquiry – and we’ve decided that due to the permit refusal by the city of Whitefish, we will need to postpone the planned march.”

Um, dickwad? May I call you Dickwad? You didn’t send all the money in and you didn’t fill out the application correctly. M’kay?

Sheesh, white supremacists are cheap ... and stupid ... and they lie.
Ben Carson, _____’s nominee for Secretary of Housing and Urban Development,--qualified because he has once lived in a house in an urban area—was asked for his thoughts—funny that, thoughts? Plural?—on LGBTQ housing rights and he quickly vomited up his old Gays Shouldn’t Be Allowed To Marry bull shiz:
“Of course, I would enforce all the laws of the land. And I believe that all Americans regardless of the things that you mentioned should be protected by the law. What I have mentioned in the past is the fact that no one gets ‘extra rights’. ‘Extra rights’ means that you get to redefine everything for everybody else. That to me doesn’t seem to be very democratic.”
Um, Ben, as a Black man, you do remember that marriage was “redefined” back in the 1960s to make interracial marriage legal, right? Are you against that? And I know you’re a brainless brain surgeon, but you do know that marriage has evolved and changed dramatically since the beginning of time, right?

Oh, you don’t? Then sit the fuck down you clinking clanking clacking collection of caliginous junk.
So, #Pissgate. #UrineTroubleDonald. #GoldenShowers. #PEEotus. How is that we didn’t see this coming? I mean, c’mon, that picture is not new!
Wingnuts, and _____, went wild over Meryl Streep’s brilliant speech at the Golden Globes when she called out _____ for mocking a disabled man—and let’s be perfectly clear, he mocked a disabled man.

Meghan McCain, the self-entitled, self-indulgent, self-involved daughter of the long passed his retirement day senator John McCain, Tweeted out this load of crap about Streep and the liberals:

I love that the daughter of a millionaire thinks she speaks for the Middle and Lower classes; she probably Tweeted that whilst having the servants butter her bread over breakfast at the manse. But then internet troll, and gasbag, Tomi Lahren, as true an illiterate as I have ever seen, also weighed in:

Yes, the woman who makes a very good living being an internet asshat thinks she’s a Middle Class American.

I was already to take these too ignorant rightwingnuts on until I found this, by veteran Charles Clymer:

Price.Less.

And lastly, as the inauguration of _____ approaches—and remember, turn your TVs off that day to make it one of the least-watched events ever because low ratings will annoy_____—I was turned onto this site by Warrior Queen, Anne Marie, of From My Brian To My Mouth fame. It’s the Indivisible Guide, whose aim is to unseat, rattle and resist President ____.
Donald Trump is the biggest popular vote loser in history to ever call himself President- Elect. In spite of the fact that he has no mandate, he will attempt to use his congressional majority to reshape America in his own racist, authoritarian, and corrupt image. If progressives are going to stop this, we must stand indivisibly opposed to Trump and the members of Congress (MoCs) who would do his bidding. Together, we have the power to resist — and we have the power to win.
We know this because we’ve seen it before. The authors of this guide are former congressional staffers who witnessed the rise of the Tea Party. We saw these activists take on a popular president with a mandate for change and a supermajority in Congress. We saw them organize locally and convince their own MoCs to reject President Obama’s agenda. Their ideas were wrong, cruel, and tinged with racism— and they won.
We believe that protecting our values, our neighbors, and ourselves will require mounting a similar resistance to the Trump agenda — but a resistance built on the values of inclusion, tolerance, and fairness. Trump is not popular. He does not have a mandate. He does not have large congressional majorities. If a small minority in the Tea Party can stop President Obama, then we the majority can stop a petty tyrant named Trump.
To this end, the following chapters offer a step-by-step guide for individuals, groups, and organizations looking to replicate the Tea Party’s success in getting Congress to listen to a small, vocal, dedicated group of constituents. The guide is intended to be equally useful for stiffening Democratic spines and weakening pro-Trump Republican resolve.
We believe that the next four years depend on Americans across the country standing indivisible against the Trump agenda. We believe that buying into false promises or accepting partial concessions will only further empower Trump to victimize us and our neighbors. We hope that this guide will provide those who share that belief useful tools to make Congress listen."
Check it out, HERE, and #Resist.

As I said, I won’t watch the inauguration, but I will be glued to the set during the impeachment hearing because I am sickened by the fact that we are going from this to that ...
