The Height of GOP Stupidity, Part Thirteen: Disillusioned Obama Supporter In Romney Ad Is Actually GOP Staffer

It was just after the Republican National Convention that the GOP unveiled a new, um, for lack of a better word, "ad" that showed a :::foot stomp:::head snap::: former Obama supporter telling us how utterly disappointed she is with the president.

That hurts you know because ....

What? She isn't? She wasn't? She didn't? Who is she?

Well, the "former Obama supporter" is actually a Republican National Convention staffer. Yes, the entire ad, start to finish, beginning to end, was a lie. Now that the idea of the GOP doing anything dishonest or deceitful or just plain stupid is a surprise, isn't it?

The new ad featured Republican National Committee Director of Hispanic Outreach Bettina Inclan, who says she's just an average female who supported Obama in 2008, but is now disillusioned with him, and wants to break things off:

“You’re just not the person I thought you were. It’s not me, it’s you. I think we should just be friends.”

The Republican National Committee says it didn't lie in the commercial:

“It’s a lighthearted ad to show how millions of Americans feel about President Obama — he’s not the person we thought he was and it’s time to break up with him. But let’s be clear, it is an ad.”

Let's see:

While Bettina Inclan began her current RNC post in January of this year, she has worked in GOP politics since long before Obama's 2008 campaign. Inclan did Hispanic outreach for Rick Scott’s 2010 Florida gubernatorial race; she worked on Capitol Hill for Republican Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart of Florida; she also worked for Republican Congressman Thaddeus McCotter of Missouri; and she was national executive director of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly.

So, this woman who has worked for the GOP for many years is used in an ad by the GOP as a Democrat unhappy with Obama? Funny, the GOP chose a woman to be in the ad since the GOP keeps fending off allegations of being anti-women. And funnier still, is that the GOP used a Latina woman since the GOP keeps trying to woo the Hispanic population into goose-stepping along with them. But, it's all a lie. All a plot. And if you can't run on the truth, what have you got left?
