Bobservations

First off …. Cheers to Mamdani and Sherrill and Spanberger, and Prop 50 in California, along with local races everywhere. If you needed proof that we can do this, that we can end the Fat Fascist Fuck’s regime, here’s the evidence.

The march goes on …

Vote Blue.

Cast a GODDAMNED vote!

We’ve been having some cold mornings in Camden for the last week or so and every morning, between the alarm and the chill, it’s The Carlos of it all.

One morning I lay awake as the sun was coming through the window; Carlos stirred and mumbled:

“Siri? What time is it?”

“It’s 6:55.”

“Oh god. I wanted to sleep until seven.”

Seriously. And now with the chill, between griping about waking up three to five minutes early, he had taken to asking the temperature:

“Siri? What’s the temperature?”

“It’s 38 degrees.”

“Oh god.”

Oh God has become my new alarm clock and weather report!

This Tuxedo Says is from May 27, 2021, when there was lots of talk about essential workers …

“To be fair, the ‘essential workers’ in Tuxedo’s life are the ones who put food in his dish, who let him nap on the table on the deck after a walkabout in the yard, and who hold him on their shoulders so he can sleep. But, then again, he’s always grateful.”

That was my boy.

Jonathan Bailey … one of the many Husbands-In-My-Head … is the first out gay man to be named People’s Sexiest Man Alive and said:

“It’s a huge honor. Obviously, I’m incredibly flattered. And it’s completely absurd.”

Not at all, Johhny, not at all.

Never forget Cankles hates transgender people and Caitlyn Jenner is a self-loathing POS.

Loyola University in New Orleans has just rejected the application of Charlie Kirk’s Hate Group, AKA Turning Point USA, to become a recognized student group.

This is The Resistance at work.

Congratulations to the Netherlands where centrist leader Rob Jetten clinched a razor-thin election win over far-right Cankles-esque lawmaker Geert Wilders. The result puts the charismatic Jetten on track to become the country’s youngest and first openly gay prime minister.

Listen up voters, we can do that here, too.

PS He also gets the hot vote.

Diane Ladd, one of the great actors,  who starred in film classics like "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" and "Chinatown," died this week at age 89.

She will be missed.

PS War Criminal Dick Cheney also died this week.

Lastly, always remember and never forget, that our current government would rather zip-tie American children with your tax dollars, but not feed them.

Pray about that at church.

Mase Somanlall is a Guyanese/Canadian fashion model represented by the D Management Group, SUPA Model Management and Anita Norris Models but enough about that … Would You Hit It?

They're Everywhere ... Part Trois

It's almost like shooting fish in a barrel, and so here we go again:

TEXAS

Jason Selvig from The Good Liars attended Thing 45’s recent rally and met the guy who may be the former president’s dumbest supporter. He’s a vaccine “villian”—according to his misspelled shirt—and has some crazy ideas on how to protect yourself during the pandemic caused by a virus that attacks the respiratory system … smoke cigarettes.

Selvig spoke to the unnamed man and asked about that shirt:

“Is that how you spell villain?”

“No. V-I-L-L-A-I-N. I grabbed the wrong graphic when I sent it to the T-shirt place to make a prototype,”

“But you still wore it today?”

“Yeah!”

The man went on to explain that he hadn’t been vaccinated because he has type O negative blood and he smokes cigarettes.

“There were studies that have come out of France—nicotine users tend to not be susceptible to things.”

“So nicotine users are not susceptible to things. Lung cancer might be one of the exceptions.”

“Well, I don’t smoke any of the name-brand stuff.”

Seriously.

NETHERLANDS

The city of Rotterdam will spend weeks dismantling the historic Koningshaven Bridge so that Jeff Bezos’ 417-foot-long, three-masted superyacht can reach the open seas this summer.

The ship was under construction in the Netherlands, but it is too tall to pass under the bridge so the bridge will come down.

Bezos and boatmaker Oceano asked Rotterdam officials to temporarily dismantle the bridge and pledged to reimburse the city for expenses.

Get ready for Amazon to charge you more so Bezos can show the world he has a huge boat and a tiny dick.

MICHIGAN

Garrett Soldano, a Michigan Republican candidate for governor, says rape victims who become pregnant shouldn’t get abortions because, he wants to promote a culture that inspires pregnant women to have their babies and lets them know “how heroic they are and how unbelievable that they are, that God put them in this moment. And they don’t know that little baby inside them may be the next president, may be the next person that changes humanity.”

God decided they should be raped and have to carry their rapist's baby?

OKLAHOMA

A newly proposed bill in Oklahoma from State Senator Rob Standridge would punish any public-school teacher who promotes any position “in opposition to closely held religious beliefs of students.”

Senate Bill 1470 was prefiled this week by Standridge, a MAGAt lunatic who filed a different bill last month to ban all books with sexual content, especially ones that affirm trans identities, from public school libraries.

Under this bill a discussion of evolution or birth control could trigger the punishments, which include a $10,000 fine or termination.

TEXAS

Furries are back, and this time they’re in Texas … a few weeks ago we talked of a school district in Michigan inundated with phone calls about the schools putting litter boxes in bathroom so children who identify as furries can use them.

This week in Texas, Michelle Evans—a member of Moms for Liberty and cofounder of Texans for Vaccine Choice—Tweeted:

“Cafeteria tables are being lowered in certain [Round Rock ISD] middle and high schools to allow ‘furries’ to more easily eat without utensils or their hands (ie, like a dog eats from a bowl).”

I guess anyone can run for office, even the crazies.

Get educated and save yourselves from The Stupids.

Architecture Wednesday: 360 Villa

Y’all know we love our pets, and would do, and have done, just about anything for them, but even this might be too far for us.

A couple in the Netherlands asked the designers of their new house to build them a home that would let them watch their dogs play in the yard from any angle; and they meant it. And that explains why the designers came up with a completely circular home—dubbed the 360 Villa—with 360-degree views so they can watch their Alaskan Malamutes. The custom home’s exterior is wrapped in a glazing that acts like mirrored windowpanes to allow those inside to see out to the yard, all the way around the house and from any interior vantage point.

In total, the villa encompasses about 900 square feet; just one bedroom, a bathroom, and an open great room. it’s not terribly large but provides ample space for the couple and their two large dogs. The exterior of the house is surrounded by a gently sloping lawn to give the dogs a play space, but also to allow the house a higher vantage point in the yard …which, in turn, provides an uninterrupted view of the dogs from the inside of the house.

Of course, a house made with an entirely glass exterior and wraparound windows needs to find a creative way to preserve privacy, and the sloping lawn comes in handy again. The top of the slope actually meets the window on the street side of the home and gives those inside with a view to the yard without exposing the interiors to passersby.

Inside, the home is largely open concept; the central social space holds the kitchen, dining room, living room, and the sliding doors that lead to an open deck. This space takes up two-thirds of the home. The bedroom, while private, can be opened into the main living area for that extra  flow, or closed off for more privacy. When it’s all opened up wide, a large circular skylight above the central living room floods the entire home in cheerful, natural light.

It's great for the dogs and the dog owners, but I think I could be quite happy a small dog and three cats in a small round house with lots of windows.
