Bobservations

Recently in Bobservations I made a point about Carlos not being funny and, I will admit, he is funny some of the time but other times he completely misses the joke.

Case in point: the Empire Today TV commercial jingle. Carlos sings it every single time it comes on really mangling the word ‘Empire’ at the end in some high-pitched howler monkey squeal. Here’s that part of the ad:

The other night I was watching an FX show called ‘Adults’ about a group of roommates—think Friends with F-bombs and adult humor and better acting. One character was newly single and had gone to a bar the night before, returning home all pleased with herself  that she gotten a phone number. She lay the bar napkin on the table as a trophy for all to see and sauntered away. One roomie picked up the napkin and read the number … 800-588-2300 … and all the roomies sang the ‘Empire’ part just like Carlos.

I saved it to show him that he’s not the only one mangling the Empire jingle and when he saw it he said:

“I don’t get it.”

“It’s the Empire ad and they’re singing just like you.”

“Okay.”

I got out the cartoon frying pan and gave him a good thwack.

This Tuxedo Tale from April 2011 and is simply entitled ‘Caturday’ …

Despondent over his love for books, and his utter inability to read a single word, Tuxedo simply gave up.

I have no idea what that name and number mean, but if this is a tailgate cake then sign me up.

Colorado Republican, Good Christian, Adulterer, Crotch Grabber and mother of at least one felon, Lauren Boebert is denying accusations that she engaged in sexual relationships with three of her female staffers and ALLEGEDLY paid one of the staffers $200,000 not to file an ethics complaint.

Reading a movie script is apparently Mission: Impossible for Little Tom Cruise who revealed that he has directors read scripts to him:

“I have them read it to me because I don’t want my ideas to invade it yet. I want to understand: What is their communication?”

Or, you know, he’s just a self-involved asshat.

I’ve got a ton of jokes about Cankles’ $5000 midterm voting checks but no one is going to get them.

Fifteen years ago this week, the U.S. military's 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy was repealed and it all turned out just fine … until a drunken newsreader was appointed DUI Secretary of Defense.

Perhaps we should initiate a Don’t Drink and Drive, Talk, Walk, Exercise or Hold A Press Conference policy.

Samuel Watson is in his 20’s and hails from Sydney, Australia so naturally, we must ask Would You Hit It Down Under?

  1. Where are the 29% and how can I avoid going there?

  2. Cruise gave an interview to GQ and he was so vague more people talked about how vague it was than about him, which was probably not his goal. Sam's interesting, maybe with a little facial hair. People are now wondering how low into the 20s Trump will go, and if he'll fall into the upper teens.

  4. Ha! Not a dull minute with Carlos, huh?
And jokes are culturally bound and if you’re not embedded in the culture you’ll miss them (like the Friends dig, natch).
I find that Cankles’ 29% approval rating is still way too high. Too many MAGAts.
    Cake!

    1. Carlos is the gift that keeps on giving.
Yup. Friends? Not so much ... I mean, living in New York and the cast is all-white???
Sadly, that 29% is drinking the CultAid.

  5. Thank you for being tasteful enough not to put Tuxedo below Boebert. Ick.
I've heard somewhere that Tom Cruise is allegedly dyslexic. Maybe he's too proud or egotistical to admit it.
My inner cougar is yowling no to Sam Wartson. He's a bit too scrawny for me.

    1. Boebert is bargain basement trash. Tuxedo would never sink so low!!!
But then Tommy should get the audio book inside having bedtime stories read to him. No wonder Katie tied the sheets together and climbed out the window to freedom!
Sam is thin but muscle-y and that's all I'll say ....

  6. I don't think anyone who has heard that ad doesn't know that jingle. I hope that rating gets down into the teens.
You know, for the first time since I started following here, Nope. Wouldn't hit it.

  7. Perhaps What's Is Face can't read so he has to con someone to read to him because he doesn't want to admit the fact and has to create some fake story to cover up.

  8. The fact that his approval rating is that high is a testament to the stupidity of MAGAts. Makes me think of the frog put in a pot of water and brought to a boil. They don't get it until it is too late.

  10. Sad one has to bribe with money to get votes....instead of on merits. And the poos suckered will never see the money like you said.

And Lauren Robert muff diving!?!? Maybe she can go rub her titties up against Bryon Noem's!

  12. And then the flattened cartoon Carlos toddled away, only to return for the next joke. Deedles mentioned Tom Cruise might be dyslexic. If that's true, he wouldn't admit it because of his so-called religion. It suggests weakness. Tuxedo could have read the books if you hadn't been too lazy to open them for him and turn the pages while feeding him treats. I hadn't thought about Boobert in a while. Please make her go away. I'll take those buns with cinnamon and icing, please.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. Oh Carlos always comes back!!
I think Cruise did say something about being dyslexic years back but can't you get a recording of the script and not make people read to you?
Tuxedo would have loved audio books!

    2. No doubt it's Cruise's way of showing the director who's in charge.

  13. Carlos watching people mangle the Empire jingle the same way he does and just saying, "I don't get it," is comedy gold. Break out that cartoon frying pan! Despondent reader Tuxedo is an absolute legend, and the comment about the teens and Trump was brutal. Great Bobservations!

  15. It is astonishing that The Orange Monster has an approval rating as high as 29%. I guess it's down to mail-in voting. Lauren Boebert needs to get her teeth discoloured. They are unnaturally white.

    There’s only one tuxedo :)
    Trump, what a mess.
Had a wicked dream about the orange one. I was at the wheel of a 1965 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron sedan, the car with its reinforced front end and strong frame, that was prohibited from demolition derbies ! Trump was in a prison work program cleaning the side of the road when I “accidentally” ran him down !
And inadvertently rocked the 5300 pound Imperial between drive and reverse repeatedly over Trump’s mangled body, wheels spinning with gore galore !
I remember explaining to the Highway Patrol officer, “ So sorry officer, I must have had one of my metabolic episodes” !
