Bobservations

This past Monday evening, as I was picking Carlos up from work, I said:
“I’m gonna take tomorrow off and finish priming the bedroom.”
I have some personal days and thought I’d use one. Carlos said fine, mainly because we are tired of sleeping in a queen-sized bed with three cats. That next day, I drove him to work, went home and began painting. Around noon, the phone rings and it’s Carlos:
“I called work and they said you didn’t come in.”
I replied:
“I told you I was taking the day off to paint.”
“But you said ‘tomorrow,’ so I thought you meant Wednesday.”
“Honeybunch? When a person says ‘tomorrow’ on Monday, they mean Tuesday, because on Monday Wednesday is the day after tomorrow.”
Lord, that man.

Sidenote: when Carlos called me at work that Tuesday, my boss thought I hadn’t told Carlos I was taking the day off, and didn’t want to get me into any trouble, or insert himself into what he thought might be a fight, and so he told Carlos I was ‘indisposed.

After Ben Carson tried to buy a dining table for $31,000, we found out that the Interior Department spent nearly $139,000 on a work order labeled as “Secretary’s Door.” The project was carried out by a Maryland company called Conquest Solutions … the only company to bid on the job … that specializes in building automation systems, like costly doors.

Now comes the part that’s hard to believe, I mean, if you believe a door can cost $139,000; a spokes-idiot for Interior Department Secretary Ryan Zinke claims the cost of the doors was news to her, and that the work was requested by career staffers as part of a building modernization effort; she claimed that historic preservation requirements and new locks raised the cost.

Uh huh; so, you do know the cost, or you don’t know the cost? And if this is part of an historic restoration, how does an automatic door fit into that.

Let’s have Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff have the last word on the matter:
"What a waste. Just think how many dining sets you could have bought or private jets you could have chartered with that money."
The grifters are running the government, people. Get out; resist; vote.
After allegedly threatening to take his life last month over allegations that he raped two underage boys, Ronnie Gorton, a married father and pastor of The Awakening Church in Tennessee, was indicted on 47 counts of illegal relations with three underage boys including five counts of aggravated sexual battery, 17 counts of sexual battery by an authority figure, two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child, 16 counts of statutory rape by an authority figure, two counts of exploitation of a minor by electronic means, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, two counts of purchasing alcohol for a child, and one count of rape.

Yup, the pastor f**ks children.  Just sayin’.
In Bye Felicia News … Victoria Miller and her three daughters, the Christian owners of W.W. Bridal Boutique in Pennsylvania have decided to close their business due to fears that impending ordinance would require their public business serve all the public and stop denying service to lesbian couples:
“The members of our town council have made it known they will pass an ordinance soon. We have chosen to close rather than be forced to go against our faith.”
Um, Victoria, you can still practice your Bigotry and Hate Faith, you just can’t use it to deny services to people.M’kay?
Look! A grifter! It looks like _____ isn’t the only _____ with potential conflicts of interest in the White House.

Ivanka “Complicit” _____, an ALLEGED senior White House adviser will pull in more than $1 million a year from the family business that has continued to develop luxury resorts across the globe during the ______ sham presidency.

And, some of those _____-branded developments are hiring state-owned companies for construction, receiving gifts from foreign governments in the form of public land or eased regulations and accepting payments from customers who are foreign officials.

Yes, she’s a thief and lair and grifter and con artist, just like her husband and her daddy.
Meanwhile, Back at Ben Carson’s $31, 000 dining table for his office.

When the story broke, Carson and his staff claimed they had no knowledge of the cost of the table, but since they all work for _____, we now know that was a lie.

Newly released emails show Carson and his wife selected the furniture themselves. The email, with the subject line “Secretary’s dining room set needed,” sent to Carson’s assistant refers to “printouts of the furniture the Secretary and Mrs. Carson picked out.”

The Secretary picked out.

Yup, it’s a swampy slime-fest in DC, thanks to _____ and his ilk.
Dennis Alexander is a teacher and a reserve police officer.

Dennis Alexander was teaching a course about gun safety for his Administration of Justice class.

Dennis Alexander accidentally fired that gun inside the classroom injuring three students.

But, by all means, arm teachers. What could possibly go wrong?
The NRA proved once again what a disgusting group of terrorists they are, and in doing so are practically guaranteeing that millions of teenagers, who will be old enough to vote for the first time in November, will be Democrats.

In an effort to counter calls for new gun control legislation on Wednesday, the same day that thousands of students across the country, and the world, walked out of schools to protest gun violence, the NRA tweeted a picture that image depicting an AR-15 style rifle, the same gun used in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, with the caption, “I’ll control my own guns, thank you.”

Vile. Mocking students who watched as classmates were slaughtered by the very same kind of weapon they want everyone to own.

I hope these students keep marching and talking and protesting and voting. I’ll be doing the same right alongside them.
South Carolina’s GOP Governor, Henry McMaster, who just yesterday called the student walkout “disgraceful”, proved how disgusting a man he is by issuing an executive order Tuesday that allows foster care providers to discriminate based on religion without losing their license.

For decades, the Greenville-based Miracle Hill Ministries has only allowed foster children to be placed with parents who share the organization’s Christian beliefs. That practice came under fire when a new regulation took effect thanks to My President, Barack Obama, that prevented publicly licensed and funded foster care agencies from servicing specific religions.

But McMaster is all about discrimination. Luckily, he’s up for reelection and I’m hoping the people of South Carolina put an end to his career.
Palate Cleanser… this week on Homeland, Carrie enlisted a team to help her get information out of a suspect, and, well, if I was ever going to get roughed up for information, these three sides of beef could dot …just saying.

Clockwise, from the top, Hot Ginger William Popp, Beefcake Clé Bennett and snarky James D'Arcy.

Interrogate me, boys!

Bobservations ... Formerly Random Musings

I like the title Bobservations more than Random Musings, so I changed it. It’s my blog and I can do it if I choose.
Ari Behn, who was married to Princess Märtha Louise of Norway from 2002 to 2016, has added his name to the list of men groped by Kevin Spacey whom he met at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in 2007. He says Spacey suggested they step outside for a cigarette and …
“Then he touched me right on the balls under the table.”
Behn said that he replied, “Eh, maybe later,” and that was the end of the encounter.

Until … later?
Nick and Sarah Jensen, that married Christian couple who pledged to divorce if same sex marriage was legalized in Australia will not go ahead with it because it would require them to separate from one another.

Uh, duh. That’s why they call it divorce. But Nick now says:
“My previous public comments regarding civil divorce never envisaged me separating from my wife, but rather our marriage from the State. The legislation currently makes it untenable for us to do this under the law. The point we were highlighting and that still stands however is the fact that a redefinition of marriage changes the agreement under which we were originally married. We will be making no further comment.”
Should have never made a comment in the first place.
Fresh from The Swamp News … Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke spent $14,000 on government helicopters to accommodate his attendance at a swearing-in ceremony for Greg Gianforte, his replacement in Congress, and a horseback ride with Vice President Mike Pence.

So, we paid $14,000 so Zinke could kiss the ass of a supporter, who gave $16,000 to Zinke’s two congressional runs, and so he could have a man-date with Pence?

The swamp is filling up rather than draining …
CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Ted Crockett, Roy Moore’s probably now unemployed spokesman, if Moore believes, as he did in 2005, that homosexuality should be illegal, and Crockett said:
“Homosexuality is a sin in the biblical sense.
Luckily Jake wasn’t playing:
“Does he think homosexual conduct should be illegal? It’s a yes or no question."
Crockett replied:
“Probably.”
And to think that could have gone to the US Senate. Thanks Alabama!
And speaking of anti-gay Alabaman asshats, a woman, identified only as McKenna, refused to go ahead with a maternity photo shoot after she discovered the photographer is gay. McKenna canceled the session after seeing a pride flag on photographer Faith Grace’s Instagram account and instantly got her homophobic fingers to text Faith:
“Hi Faith! This is McKenna from last night. I was reaching out to you about maternity photos. I went through your personal Instagram account to get your photography business account and on your personal page I saw that you had a pride flag. Are you gay or do you have family that’s gay?”
Faith replied:
“No one in my fam is gay but I am—that’s why I have it on my account”
And McKenna said:
“I see, OK, well don’t worry about the photos then. I don’t want someone who’s gay to take my pictures. It’s just not right. I’m against it and the last thing I need is to allow my 5 year old child to think that being gay is OK/right because I don’t want them to be influenced by people like you. I’m sorry that you think this lifestyle is OKAY and acceptable. Take care, Faith.”
But I guess McKenna wants her child and unborn family to grow up in hate.
CNN news anchor Don Lemon was the news story and not the reporter this week when the Fat Bastard attacked him on Twitter after the New York Times reported that _____ “hate watches” CNN. _____ Tweeted that the Times’s story was “fake news” and that he never watches Lemon, and even said he once referred to him as the “dumbest man on television.”

Not entirely true, because in 2015 _____ Tweeted this:
Great interview tonight @donlemon - very professionally done.”
Liar says what?

In other Lemon news, the anchor echoed the sentiments of most of the nation Monday night after Roy Moore’s wife, Kayla, said the couple could not be anti-Semitic because they have a Jewish attorney.

After playing the clip-on CNN Monday night, Lemon said, “Wow,” before bowing his head and giving a wry chuckle at Moore’s inarticulate reasoning. But Lemon’s guest, political analyst Mark Preston wasn’t done, and asked Lemon:
“Don, do you consider me a friend by any chance?”
Lemon said ‘Yes,’ and Preston sarcastically responded:
“I can say I have a black friend now. I’m very, very excited.”
Yeah, racist anti-Semite and kicked to the curb …
On to fashion …. apparently Ralph Lauren is depressed—no seriously—and so he recently unveiled a wrinkled dress shirt stained with marinara sauce as part of his new ready-to-wear fall line, saying:
"I designed this shirt because no matter how hard I try, I can never be happy. I try and try and try, but these days I can never seem to… It doesn't matter anymore. It just doesn't matter. That's what this shirt is about, I guess. It’s particularly good for walking on the beach alone at 2 a.m. and wondering if you should just let the tide take you away forever."
He added that he didn’t think the shirt deserved   to be photographed.

Too bad; that’s the shirt, featuring a missing button, garlic and body odor infused right into the cotton weave, and a cigarette burn across the unraveling embroidery of a Polo logo, the new shirt is part of Lauren's recently launched “Fuck It, Just Fuck Everything" line.

Seriously. This is not a joke and I have decided to sell a pair of pants I once pooped in on eBay as part of my “Who Gives A Shit? I Give A Shit” line.

Is it a joke? Maybe .....
I never watched The Apprentice because even back then I thought _____ was a piece of sh*t. But I did hear about the show’s villain, Omarosa Manigault Newman. And yet I was still surprised to learn that Omarosa earned some $180,000 working in _____’s White House though not many could say what it was she does ... er, did.

See, apparently Omarosa was “physically dragged” from the White House after being fired as a presidential adviser. We do know that her departure comes shortly after it was revealed she showed up at the White House with her bridal party for a surprise photo shoot — only to be banned from posting pictures publicly due to “security and ethical concerns.”

Folks are saying it was General Kelly who gave Omarosa her marching orders just last night; Omarosa was very upset and wanted to speak to _____ but Kelly said ____ knew she was getting ousted and signed off on it.

And then, god love it, Omarosa started cursing like a madwoman and then tried to get inside the presidential residence, which was when security came and dragged her ass off.

Wow. So why do you think this got so ugly? Something going on between the Fat Bastard and Omarosa, or did he find out she was one of the Black women who voted for Doug Jones?

Either way, the image of her getting dragged off property makes me smile. Bye Felicia.
We watched Rabbit Hole, starring my BFF Nikki Kidman and Aaron Eckhart, a film about parents dealing with grief over the loss of a child. Quite good; Kidman was good and I was reminded that Eckhart is a very good actor.

And hot …

Just sayin’.

Something's Fishy In The Swamp

I think when the Fat Bastard promised to drain the swamp, he meant, drain bank accounts so the swamp dwellers, er, his appointees, and their friends can make some coins.

I mean how else can anyone explain that a $300 million electrical reconstruction and repair contract for Puerto Rico was awarded to Whitefish Energy, a tiny Whitefish, Montana firm?
What’s that? Whitefish just happens to be the hometown of Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke ... left? Well, drain my swamp!

See, when hurricane Maria ravaged Puerto Rico, Whitefish Energy was a two-year-old company from Montana with two, yes, two full-time employees and yet it was somehow deemed worthy of getting a $300 million contract?

Whitefish is now serving as an unnecessary middle-man, profiting off the disaster situation and Luis Vega-Ramos, a member of Puerto Rico’s House of Representatives, is rightfully pissed off:
“It is reprehensible that shameless profiteering is going on literally on the back of the devastated people of Puerto Rico. It is beyond contempt and people should answer for it.”
So how does this little business, this two-man operation, win such a contract? Is Zinke connecting his homies with lucrative government contracts at the expense of the recovery Puerto Ricans deserve? Is he lying about his close connections to Whitefish Energy?

Enquiring minds on both sides of the aisle want to know, so, yeah, here we go again:

Contact your representatives in Congress and demand answers. And while you’re at it, tell them that Puerto Rico's recovery needs to be led by the Puerto Rican people and not by friends of friends in high places.

On the upside, Puerto Rico's Governor Ricardo Rossello has  demanded that the board of the Puerto Rico’s power company cancel the $300 million contract with Whitefish Energy Holdings. His demand comes just as federal legislators are investigating the contract.

Naturally, Whitefish spokesman Chris Chiames—is he one of its two employees—has yet to release a statement.

Something’s fishy in the swamp y’all.

Ryan Zinke Wants To Pave Paradise And Put Up An Oil Rig .. Or A Strip Mine

As goosesteps along in his march to destroy this country and fill his bank account, his Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke has recommended that four large national monuments in the West be reduced in size so that hundreds of thousands of acres of land ... national park land ... historical lands ... can be opened up to mining, logging and other development.

Zinke’s recommendations revealed in yet another leaked memo—how many leaks is that now for this corrupt administration—and has prompted an outcry from environmental groups, and people with a conscience, who are promising to take the Liar-In-Thief to court to block the moves.

Zinke’s plan would scale back two huge Utah monuments—Bears Ears, to hence be known as Bears Ear, and Grand Staircase-Escalante, to be renamed, The Stoop— along with Nevada’s Gold Butte, now dubbed Pyrite Hill, and Oregon’s Cascade-Siskiyou, call it a Travesty if you will.

Bears Ears was designated for federal protection by former President Barack Obama ... oh, now we know why _____ wants it decimated ... and is about 1.3 million acres in Utah that is sacred to Native Americans and home to tens of thousands of archaeological sites, including ancient cliff dwellings.

Grand Staircase-Escalante, also in Utah, includes nearly 1.9 million acres and was designated by another democrat, Bill Clinton; the GOP has had it in their sites since 1996.

Cascade-Siskiyou protects about 113,000 acres in an area where three mountain ranges converge, while Gold Butte protects nearly 300,000 acres of desert that feature rock art, sandstone towers and wildlife habitat for bighorn sheep and the threatened Mojave Desert tortoise.

Sadly, the only sites _____ sees as historic are his daughter’s rack and his Golden Toilet.

But Zinke isn’t done; he wants to allow logging at a newly designated monument in a Maine forest and urges more grazing, hunting and fishing at two sites in New Mexico. And he'd like to destroy the oceans; two marine monuments in the Pacific Ocean would also be reduced, while a third, off the Massachusetts coast, would be modified to allow commercial fishing.

Hey, who cares what we destroy, how much of the planet we decimate, how much history we erase, how many endangered species we kill off if someone can make some coins, right?
