Peyton McNabb and January Littlejohn

These two asshats were highlighted at The Felon’s State of the Union address …

The first is Peyton McNabb, on the left above. She was a high school athlete who The Felon claimed had a career ending injury from a transgender volleyball player but in the months following the assault, as both The Felon and Lil Peyton called it, she competed in both softball and basketball so she couldn’t have had a “career ending injury.”

It is also important to note that it was never proven the other athlete was transgender and many kids at Peyton’s school have confirmed then opponent was a cisgender athlete.

Peyton lies, lied, and will lie.

The second asshat is January Littlejohn, on the right above, who was there to highlight a story of a school transitioning her daughter without her approval. Here’s an email Littlejohn sent to her child’s teacher:

“This has been an incredibly difficult situation for our family and her father and I are trying to be as supportive as we can. She is currently identifying as non-binary. She would like to go by the new name [redacted] and prefers the pronouns they/them. We have not changed her name at home yet, but I told her if she wants to go by the name [redacted] with her teachers, I won’t stop her.”

Sounds nice, right, but then the Littlejohn’s went on to try to sue the school for calling her by the name she had chosen to be called and the name that the parents said the school could call their child.

A judge ultimately dismissed after these emails became known

So Facts really do matter people. These stories are lies and dangerous for already marginalized groups. It is sickening that these people stood in front of the world and lied for political gain.

Their hatred is really strong and really stupid.

This Bitch: Nancy Mace ... AGAIN!!!

Once again, hate-filled, ignorant, transphobic bigot Nancy Mace is This Bitch; but why now? Why her? Why again?

Well, in an effort to raise money for  her next election Mace designed some Christmas wrapping paper to sell and because she’s Nancy Mace, a media whore, a bigot, a liar and a bitch, and nothing says Jesus is the reason for the season like hate and bigotry she designed this transphobic wrapping paper:

And then she ran to X, because Bluesky won’t have her, and her base of ignorant, toothless cousin-fucking South Carolina meth heads need another dose of lies and fearmongering, she claimed that the vendors she contacted to make her festive gift wrapping refused to do so because it was “offensive.”

Mace has been on the attack against the trans community ever since the election of Representative-elect Sarah McBride of Delaware, the first trans person elected to Congress and now she's taking her heart-warming tale of ignorance to Fox News:

“My team just informed me that no company would make this wrapping paper for us because it’s too ‘offensive.' What I find offensive is men in women’s bathrooms.”

And when questioned if she actually asked anyone to make the wrapping paper or if she just assumed that she would be refused she doubled down:

“We asked our current vendors and they refused.”

And yet couldn't name a single vendor; so she then spent the weekend posting anti-transgender messages to social media, including some with slurs after a pro-LGBTQ+ protest at the capitol:

“The tr***ies came, they saw, and they did not conquer during their protest.”

In another post, she shared a rightwing pundit’s post that called trans women “chicks with d***s.”

This is an elected official whose job it is to represent all the people and she has devolved into a hate-filled hag and pandering money-grubbing bigot.

In her continuing effort to stop McBride from using the women’s restrooms at the Capitol, Mace has referred to  the Congressperson as “it” and as a “man” and said that it’s “offensive” that McBride thinks she’s “equal” to other female Representatives.

Nancy Mace is the one who isn’t equal, and once again, I ask any business out there where Nancy Mace might shop or eat or browse demand that if she wants to use a restroom that she first must prove that she’s female and not just This Bitch … AGAIN.

Bobservations

No Carlos story this week because he’s gone into hiding for a few days. See, he was walking by the guest room the other morning and saw Rosita sitting in the curvy scratching tool and thought:

“She’s so sweet.”

Then he looked closer, and that’s when he went into hiding.

It’s like Cats of the Corn …

Girl Fight! That messy feud between the two dumbest MAGAts in Congress, Large Marge Green and Lauren Bobo Boebert burst right into the open this week when the two got into a spat and Greene called Boebert a “little bitch.”

It all happened because both women want to impeach Joe Biden for being a good president and a Democrat, and Greene went all Howler Monkey after Boebert leveraged a procedural tool to force a vote on her own impeachment resolution, thereby undercutting Marge, who had offered her own resolution,

Poor Marge and Bobo, both vying to be the Illiterate Queen of the MAGAts.

Right after the White House displayed a Pride flag, Fox News … that bastion of journalistic integrity … hold for laughter … claimed the Pride flag the White House used promoted pedophilia.

Fox made no mention of the fact that when their parent company promoted Pride month in 2022 it wrapped its corporate logo in the very same flag.

I guess it’s not a giant leap to go from lying to hypocrisy.

If you ever wondered what he was thinking, here’s an inkling:

Excerpts from Tuxedo's diary, March 27, 2010:

Day 2555 of my captivity...

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am.

Bastards.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow—but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released—and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously an idiot. The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe.

For now...

I kid … we never had a bird.

Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of Twitter, has amped up his anti-transgender campaign and is now calling “cisgender”—a term that refers to people who identify with the sex they were assigned at birth—a slur and not to be used on his site.

Of note, is that Musk has a transgender daughter who legally filed to change her name in 2022 because of her “gender identity” and “the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.”

Lesson: Elon Musk is as terrible a human being as he is a parent.

In  Arkansas, a  federal judge struck down the state’s law forbidding medical treatments for children and teenagers seeking gender transitions, blocking what had been the first in a wave of such measures championed by GOP lawmakers across the country.

In his ruling, Judge James Moody Jr. said the law both discriminated against transgender people and violated constitutional rights for doctors. He also said that the state of Arkansas had failed to substantially prove a number of its claims, including that the care was experimental or carelessly prescribed to teenagers.

Because, again, it’s all about scaring their base with stories of parents “changing” their children’s gender on a whim. Good on Judge Moody.

Texas Governor, and asshat, Greg Abbott vetoed a bipartisan bill that would have expanded vote-by-mail access for people with disabilities—specifically people who are blind or paralyzed and need assistance marking their ballot.

The guy in the wheelchair wants to make it harder for people with disabilities to vote, and so it deserves saying again: if I ever see Abbott at the top of the stairs in his wheelchair, I will push it down the stairs.

We’re going old school this week. I watched a documentary on Tab Hunter the other night—and he was drop dead beautiful back in the day—and it got me to thinking about the Hot Men of Hollywood, 1950s Edition, so here you are. Clockwise from the top left … Rock Hudson, Anthony Perkins, Tab Hunter, James Dean, Montgomery Clift, Paul Newman. Which One Would You Hit?

This Bitch: JessicaTillmann

Down there in Florida, where insanity runs rampant and Hate is the law, Seminole County Public Schools is offering to reprint the 2023 Lyman High School yearbook in order to remove two pages of LGBTQ+ content because some parents, well, to be fair, one hate-filled parent, is upset about it.

Jessica Tillmannn, chapter chair of the Seminole County Moms for Liberty—meaning Liberty for her group of bigots and homophobes, but not for everyone—says she’s concerned about the definitions in the yearbook because she thinks they are teaching children about sex outside the state-approved standards that parents can choose to opt their children out of:

“They shouldn’t have any sexual definitions in a yearbook. This is a yearbook that goes to every student as young as 14.”

I got news for you Jessica, fourteen-year-olds know about LGBTQ+ people, and probably even have friends who are gay and bisexual and trans and genderfluid, so your homophobia is kind of ridiculous, misplaced and a little too late.

But what really has Jessica’s Spanx twisted? It’s the fact that the LGBTQ+ section in the yearbook includes photos of member of the student’s Gay-Straight Alliance, definitions of LGBTQ+ terms, a passage on the evolution of pronouns and a profile of a student who advocates for the LGBTQ+ community.

How terrifying.

And what kind of terms do they explain? How about genderfluid, defined as “a gender identity that changes with time and/or a given situation. This is opposed to a fixed gender identity.” The yearbook also defines aromantic as “someone who experiences little to no romantic attraction. Many aromantics still feel sexual attraction.”

Danielle Pomeranz, Lyman High School’s faculty yearbook adviser, disagrees with the district’s offer to scrub LGBTQ+ content since the book features all aspects of the school’s diverse student body, including Latinos in Action, Black History Month and even the Dungeons & Dragons Club and defended the LGBTQ+ section:

“They are definitions. They are not teaching anything about sex at all. … Nobody is teaching anybody about sex acts. It is ridiculous.”

And while the principal approved the yearbook’s content it is under scrutiny because the Florida Department of Education got involved when Jessica Tillmann had her Hissy Hate Fit and decided only her opinion counts; wrong, again, Jessica.

If fact, Jessica Tillmann is so thrilled it be a bigot and homophobe that she is also requesting that Danielle Pomeranz  and the school be fired. Sadly, Danielle Pomeranz resigned from her job a couple of weeks ago in part because of Florida’s political climate and a lack of support from Seminole County’s school leadership, so there’s one less teacher to care about all students in Florida.

Still, I have a suggestion for Jessica Tillmann: shut the fuck up. If you don’t like LGBTQ+ content in a  yearbook, get yourself a pair of scissors and cut the pages out of the book, but why believe your opinion should rule over all opinions?

On the upside, as of now, no one had requested a reprinted yearbook, not even Jessica Tillmann.

I guess she wanted her Fifteen Minutes of fame as a bigot and homophobe, and I hope she sits all alone in her hate rots there.

As for the LGBTQ+ community, we need to speak up, loudly, and condemn this kind of hate. Staying silent is not an option; use your voice, use your vote. What happens to one of us, happens to us all.

The GOP Hates The Gays More Than They Love Children

The GOP battle cry has long ben, ‘The children! The children’ and they trot it out very heavily election. They want to protect the unborn children, well, at least until birth at which time they become irrelevant. Until this year when the GOP took up the QAnon theory that Democrats ‘groom’ children to be gay or to be given to pedophiles or, and this is an actual QAnon theory, to be eaten by high-ranking Democrats, like Obama, or Hollywood celebrities, like Tom Hanks.

And the  GOP turned their wrath on drag queens and the LGBTQ+ community, accusing us of sexualizing children; wingnuts protest Drag Queen Story Hours and some even shoot up LGBTQ+ nightclubs to prove their point. So, you’d think they would rally round a bill that would help victims of child sex abuse, right?

The bill, entitled Respect for Child Survivors Act, was developed with input from child welfare groups to address the mistreatment that child witnesses sometimes face during investigations of their own abuse. It would require the FBI to form multi-disciplinary teams to investigate child sex abuse cases in a way that ensures accountability and transparency without re-traumatizing victims and their families.

Sounds like a good way to protect children and save them from further abuse and while the bipartisan bill—which was introduced by GOP Senators John and Lindsey Graham , along with Democrat Senators Chris Coons and Amy Klobuchar—passed the House with 215 Democratic and 170 Republican votes, the No votes were all from the GOP:

Mo Brooks and Barry Moore—Alabama

Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar—Arizona

Rick Crawford—Arkansas

Tom McClintock—California

Lauren Boebert—Colorado

Byron Donalds and John Rutherford—Florida

Andrew Clyde, Jody Hice, Austin Scott, and Marjorie Taylor Greene—Georgia

James Comer and Thomas Massie—Kentucky

Clay Higgins—Louisiana

Matt Rosendale—Montana

Jeff Van Drew—New Jersey

Dan Bishop and Virginia Foxx—North Carolina

Scott Perry—Pennsylvania

Ralph Norman—South Carolina

Louie Gohmert, Ronny Jackson, Troy Nehls, Chip Roy, and Michael Cloud--Texas

Bob Good—Virginia

Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Louie Gohmert, Paul Gosar and Rick Crawford all oppose he expansion of LGBTQ+ civil rights and many have accused the LGBTQ+ community of sexualizing or “grooming” kids.

And yet they voted against this bill.

In June, Boebert accused queer-inclusive teachers of “grooming” kids with educational flashcards showing a pregnant man on one of the cards.

In November, Greene called gay Californian state Democratic Senator Scott Wiener a “communist groomer” for calling “groomer” an “anti-LGBTQ hate word.”

In October, Gohmert co-sponsored a bill called the “Stop the Sexualization of Children Act” which would ban any entity that receives federal money from talking about sexual orientation or gender identity to children under the age of 10.

Crawford has consistently voted against LGBTQ+ civil rights.

It’s important to note these Republicans, who have spent the last year making so much noise about LGBTQ+ people “grooming” children, never speak as loudly against child sex abuse in their Christian churches, nor do they partner with any groups that actually oppose child abuse or child sex trafficking.

And now we know they aren’t even willing to vote for a bill to address child sex abuse that got broad bipartisan support.

That’s the rightwingnut faction of the GOP; they say they want to protect children but only if they can denigrate and humiliate and terrorize and threaten and perhaps even incite murder of LGBTQ+ Americans.

They don’t care about children.

They hate us.

Victoria Cobb Says It's Not Hate But ...

Last week in Bobservations I posted about the Metzger Bar and Butchery in Richmond, Virginia canceling a reservation made by the Family Foundation of Virginia because restaurant employees and the owner didn’t feel comfortable serving a group that is opposed to equal rights for all.

Well, on Saturday CNN host Michael Smerconish had the president of the group, Victoria Cobb, on his show where she whined and complained that she and her colleagues were refused service at Metzger’s and in the same breath defended the rights of Christian businesspeople who refuse to work with same-sex couples.

On the show, Smerconish tried to get Cobb to see that her group being denied service because it conflicted with the beliefs of the restaurant owner was the exact same thing as a Christian baker refusing to make a cake, or a web-site designer refusing to create a site,  for a same-sex couple which she feels is completely justified:

“I know you follow the arguments as I did this past Monday in the Supreme Court on the same issue. It’s incredible the timing of all of this. Justice Sotomayor said, ‘Hey, if we allow the web designer to not have to design that web for the same-sex couple, for the first time in our history we’re going to be saying it’s okay to discriminate based on gender identity, based on race, based on religion.' You know it’s a slippery slope argument. Would you similarly say a web designer doesn’t have to make a cake (sic) for an inter-racial marriage because they don’t agree with that from their religious point of view?”

Cobb wasn’t seeing it because hate in ignorance clouded her vision, and she said:

“I think we are stretching the Lorie Smith case to be something that it is not. [Smith] has a fundamental concern about same-sex marriage. It’s not the people, it’s I don’t want to write a speech. I have to literally write content and create beautiful imagery on something that violates my faith –that’s her case. We haven’t seen a ruling yet, it sounds favorable from what folks are saying. It is because we protect speech it is a bedrock principle. It is so important that no one, not even a paying customer compels someone else to have to say or write words they don’t agree with. I think that’s the America we want to live in.”

Smerconish shot back:

“I want to live in a world where everybody gets served. I want to live in a world where judgments aren’t made based on religious conviction. You respectfully didn’t answer me. I think the web designer could say, ‘Oh, my god, it’s an interracial marriage, I’m not designing a website.’ The baker could say ‘I’m not going to bake a cake for them.’ I want everybody to get served.”

Funny, cuz from reading this it looks like Victoria Cobb got served.

And, in closing, I will say again: if you are a business owner and you don’t want to bake a cake, create an invitation, design floral arrangements, photograph the wedding, cater the event for a same-sex couple then you should put a sign in your window and an icon on your website that reads:

“We refuse to serve same-sex couples.”

That way, we know who you are, and everyone knows who you are, and people who maybe aren’t gay might think twice about patronizing your business.

But you’ll hide your hate because, deep down, even you know it’s wrong.

And So It Begins ...

Last year, at a sporting event in Utah—the kind of event as well as the competitors name have not been released and you’ll see why—one competitor utterly outshone the rest of the field in a girls’ state-level competition.

And suddenly, because it’s all the rage, you know, the  parents of the competitors who placed second and third—AKA  the losers—filed a complaint with the Utah High School Activities Association calling into question the gender of the winner.

You know, because it was actually a boy who beat their precious darlings in the event because no “girl” could ever be better.

Still, David Spatafore, the Utah High School Activities Association’s [UHSAA] legislative representative, addressing the Utah Legislature’s Education Interim Committee said the association—without informing the student or family members about the inquiry—asked the student’s school to investigate.

The school examined the student’s enrollment records and found that, all the way back to the records from the student’s kindergarten, that the student was female.

Spatafore would not reveal the sport, the classification of play nor the school the student attended, but did say the association has received other complaints, some saying that the “female athlete doesn’t look feminine enough.”

Utah passed its own anti-trans hate bill in the 2022 General Session. The legislation, sponsored by Republican … because, of course … Representative Kera Birkeland bans transgender girls from competing in girls’ sports.

And apparently any girl who bests the darlings of bigots in a high school sporting event is immediately questioned about being a “real” girl when in fact, those little darlings simply aren’t as good.

Still, though nothing came of it in this case, hate is winning in Utah. And this is the future of this country in this time of hate; a young girl who is better at sports than other young girl’s will instantly have her identity and her gender questioned.

Ah America ….

Neil Rafferty Takes On Hate In Alabama

Yesterday I posted about Alabama’s GOP Governor Kay Ivey following the Republican trend of fearmongering and Hate Bills by signing two anti-LGBTQ+ bills into law—one that criminalizes gender-affirming surgeries for trans youth, and the second the state’s own Don’t Say Gay Bill—and Debra, from She Who Seeks had a simple request:

“More Good News please!”

I aim to please, and while this is not Good News, it’s nice, it’s amazing, and it gives me hope. You see, after the Alabama state Legislature passed these new laws, one man, Alabama Representative Neil Rafferty, a Democrat :::gasp::: and a gay man :::thud::: took the Republicans to task for their bigotry:

“I don’t know how this became a platform issue for y’all. I don’t know where it became a central core issue to pick on these kids, to pick on these families. I don’t know where it is or why y’all think that this is something that we need to vote on, not just vote on, but put off the top of the calendar like it’s a priority.

“It’s a priority for us to be getting involved in private family medical decisions that are made with a team of healthcare providers, that are made with the parents centering around the child who are surrounded by a team of healthcare providers, mental health professionals who are guiding them through this process? You want to think you’re just going to a doc-in-a-box or willy-nilly, just getting prescribed this stuff because somebody just said, hey, this is it. That’s not how being transgender works.”

Then he discussed his own identity.

“Trust me, if I didn’t have to be gay, I wouldn’t be. You know how much easier my freaking life would be? This is personal y’all. I’m trying to appeal to you that this is not small government. This is invasive.”

Rafferty was angry because he’s apparently the lone member of the legislature who realizes Alabama has bigger problems that trans kids, or third graders asking what ‘gay’ means.

But his fellow members of Congress don’t care. They run on fear; they pander to the lowest common denominator; they demonize children; they attack parents. And one Neil Rafferty is through with this; at the end of his speech he ended with:

“Just don’t you dare call me a friend after this.”

Hopefully Alabama—and, yes, I know, it’s Alabama but a queer can dream—will find its legislature filling up with more Neil Rafferty’s and less bigots.

Wouldn’t that be good news, Debra?

SIDENOTE: Y’all know how shallow I am, so I must mention what a hot little nugget Rafferty is.
