Bobservations

The other day Carlos had a dentist’s appointment, so I dropped him off and returned home. When he was finished, he called me to pick him up …

“I’m running late to work so I’ll drive by and slow down in front of the office and open the door and you can jump in.”

“Um, sweetiepie, you’re on speaker phone!”

“What’s your point?”

In the background I heard someone in the office laugh and say:

“He’s funny.”

She’s right, and she’s my new best friend.

This Tuxedo Memory is from August 2018 and is creatively entitled, “Oy! The Punim on That Cat.”

‘Someone was clearly not pleased that I was disturbing the post-breakfast nap.’

That’s my boy … I like to think he got that resting bitch face from me!

President Biden is expected to give a primetime address on the first night of the Democratic National Convention next month in Chicago with a “big tribute” is planned for him that same night.

He deserves all that and more and I will be tuned in!

Celine Dion showed up in Paris in a designer track suit from Gucci that cost $7,000.00. My question is: for 7 g’s you couldn’t get one that fit?

The FBI is examining numerous metal fragments found near the stage at that Felon campaign to determine whether it was an assassin’s bullet—or potential debris—that grazed The Felon’s ear. The bureau has asked to interview The Felon as part of its investigation, hoping to provide insights into the shooting and possibly a more complete record of his injury. i.e., paper cut.

It was funny that MAGAts were fuming that the FBI director was using the word ‘fragment’ to describe what he thinks hit The Felon’s ear and so the FBI director changed his wording and called it ‘shrapnel’ and suddenly they were happy.

Um, MAGAts? Shrapnel is defined as, ahem, “fragments” of a bomb, shell, or other object thrown out by an explosion.

You cannot make this shiz up.

In the days since Vice President Kamala Harris launched her presidential bid, more than 170,000 volunteers have joined her cause, and she’s raised so much money that Clarence Thomas wants to go on vacation with her.

In July 2021, Monsignor Jeffrey Burrill resigned from his post as the general secretary of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops [USCCB] ahead of a report by The Pillar alleging that he had engaged in inappropriate behavior and frequent use of Grindr. And now Jeffrey is suing the gay “hookup” app saying the company failed to protect his data, leading to his resignation.

You might wanna just come out, padre, and then take a seat.

Vice President Kamala Harris has a message for The Felon is he’s too scared to debate her: she’ll do the debate by herself.

And maybe just put a few fast-food wrappers on the stage to represent the chicken-shiz gelatinous gasbag.

Speaking of The Felon, he spoke about Melanie watching the shooting live and when he asked her feelings about it she said she couldn’t talk about it. Couldn’t talk about it? That means that either the check didn’t clear or she didn’t get the result she wanted. But then The Felon said that was Ok “because that means she likes me or she loves me.”

Her husband is ALLEGEDLY almost gunned down and she likes him?

Judge Joel Cohen has banned Wayne LaPierre, the former head of the National Rifle Association [NRA] from holding a paid position with the organization for a decade.

Should’a made it permanent, giving him time to wash decades of blood off his hands.

After Uvalde ...

In the wake of the latest—cuz it won’t be the last—mass shooting, Texas Governor, and REPUBLICAN, Greg Abbott said he expects new laws to be enacted in response the Robb Elementary School shooting, and added:

“Do we expect any laws to come out of this devastating crime? The answer is yes. Absolutely yes.”

When asked about calling a special session for the legislature Abbott made no move on that. He is resistant to measures targeting background checks on guns and new laws around buying rifles:

“Anyone who suggests we should focus on background checks instead of mental health, I suggest to you it is mistaken.”

REPUBLICAN Governor Greg Abbott has cut $200,000,000.00 from departments that deal with mental health.

He has children’s blood on his hands.

We all know the NRA held one of their terror-paloozas in the wake of the shooting in Uvalde, but did you know that this vile group, headed by murderer Wayne LaPierre, as part of its ongoing “Banned Guns Giveaway,” the NRA raffled off a Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 rifle as 1,000 rounds of ammunition—the same gun used to slaughter children at Robb Elementary.

A Domestic Terror Group.

GOP Representative Matt Gaetz tried to answer the question why anyone not serving in the military would have a need for an AR-15 capable of quickly spewing 300 bullets and he replied:

Target sport. Self-defense. Hog hunting. Just to name a few…

Keep in mind that one person who was a survivor of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida was David Hogg, a gun activist.

Matt Gaetz is a pig.

New York Congressman, and REPUBLICAN, Chris Jacobs, a former gun advocate and supporter of the NRA, made a surprising about-face last week becoming perhaps the first congressional Republican to call for an assault weapons ban in the wake of the recent mass shootings in Buffalo and Uvalde, Texas.

In addition to saying he would vote for a Democratic bill banning assault weapons, he also said he would support raising the age on some gun purchases to 21, limiting the capacity of magazines and banning the sale of military-style body armor to civilians.

Perhaps the tide is turning … ?

Lastly, President Biden was greeted warmly greeted when he visited Uvalde over the weekend, while Texas GOP Governor Greg Abbott was loudly booed when he approached the memorial at Robb Elementary:

“Shame on you, Abbott!”

“Please, Governor, help Uvalde County! We need change! Our children don’t deserve this.”

“Our children are under constant attack in this community. We need help.”

Sadly, we already know where Abbott stands, so change won’t likely be coming at a state level, unless the people of Texas vote him out of office.

Vote every single politician who has blocked gun control legislation, who takes blood money from the NRA, who suggests arming teachers, giving students ballistic blankets, or locking all the doors in schools, as a solution to mass shootings.

CAST A GODDAMNED VOTE.

_____ Remembered Dead Children By Spending The Day With NRA Vulture Wayne LaPierre

Last Thursday marked the fifth anniversary of the Sandy Hook shooting. I would have said something, but I thought, ‘Why bother?’ Five years ago, school children were murdered by a nut with a gun and our elected officials did nothing about so clearly, they fell guns are most important, more valuable, more worth protecting than children.

And I’m not the only one who ignored the anniversary. The Fat Bastard in the White House said not one word, no condolences for the families of the victims, no prayers for dead children; nothing.

Well, not nothing; President [For Now] _____ spent the day hosting Wayne LaPierre, the vile head of the NRA.

Yup. That’s our leader, spending the anniversary of the of the day that 26 people—including 20 children—lost their lives, with the man who, after Sandy Hook, said the solution that that gun massacre would be to arm more people in schools.

And at the White House press briefing that day, Fashion Victim Sarah Huckleberry Sanders was asked to explain “what _____ has done to try to protect the American people against a similar type” of Sandy Hook massacre and she mentioned … wait for it, it’s delusional … tighter border security.

Of course, she was instantly that the Sandy Hook shooter was a white young man who did not enter this country from another country; nor were the shooters who killed nearly 100 people during the massacres in Las Vegas and Sutherland Springs, earlier this year.

And so, Sarah Huckleberry Sanders finally admitted the truth, that _____ doesn’t think there is anything to be done to stop the bloodshed.

Nothing to be done about lunatics, armed lunatics, walking into schools, churches, movie theaters or concert venues.

Nothing.

I Didn't Say It ...

Brian Stelter, CNN media reporter, on _____ and fake news:

“Yeah, President-elect _____ is many things. To his voters, he’s a beloved figure. But one of the things he is, is a theorist. And he’s also in a few different cases tweeted out links to clearly fake news stories. Now, that hasn’t happened in recent days. I would say it’s been about a week since he tweeted something that was clearly false — he said there have been millions of illegal votes. That didn’t happen.”

And remember he also said he saw thousands of Muslims in New Jersey cheering on 9/11; he just said Boeing was billing the US $4 billion for a plane—it’s billing us $170 million.
He’s the Kingmaker of Fake News or at least he’s stupid enough to buy into it.
Wayne LaPierre, HBIC at the NRA, gleefully cheering a _____ presidency because it means more guns:

“This is our historic moment to go on offense and to defeat the forces that have aligned against our freedom once and for all. The individual right to carry a firearm in defense of our lives and our families does not and should not end at any state line.”

One NRA goal is getting Congress to pass a law requiring all states to recognize concealed-carry handgun permits issued by any other state. Law enforcement organizations warn the change would mean encountering more guns during traffic stops and in tourist areas, and say there is no way to easily check the validity of an out-of-state firearm permit because there is no nationwide database. Another goal is to eliminate gun-free zones at schools and reduce requirements for background checks.
Resist.
Tom Ford, saying all men need to be sexually penetrated:

“I think it would help them understand women. It’s such a vulnerable position to be in, and it’s such a passive position to be in. And there’s such an invasion, in a way, that even if it’s consensual, it’s just very personal. I think there’s a psyche that happens because of it that makes you understand and appreciate what women go through their whole life, because it’s not just sexual, it’s a complete setup of the way the world works, that one sex has the ability to literally—and is expected to and is wanted to—but also there’s an invasion. And I think that that’s something most men do not understand at all.”

Hey, Tom, stick to design and the occasional movie, because this is just nonsense.
Hillary Clinton, the Popular Vote President, on Fake News:

“Let me just mention one threat in particular that should concern all Americans… the epidemic of malicious fake news and false propaganda that flooded social media over the past year. It’s now clear that so-called ‘fake news’ can have real world consequences. This isn’t about politics or partisanship. Lives are at risk. Lives of ordinary people just trying to go about their days, to do their jobs, contribute to their communities.”

Clinton seemed to be speaking of Pizzagate, a fake news story that a DC pizza shop was being used as part of a child sex-ring run by Clinton and John Podesta.
And, yes, some idiot bought into that story took a gun to that pizza shop and began shooting.
PS the son of one of _____’s cabinet choices helped perpetuate that fake news story.
President Obama, on the Passing of John Glenn:

“When John Glenn blasted off from Cape Canaveral atop an Atlas rocket in 1962, he lifted the hopes of a nation.  And when his Friendship 7 spacecraft splashed down a few hours later, the first American to orbit the Earth reminded us that with courage and a spirit of discovery there's no limit to the heights we can reach together.  With John's passing, our nation has lost an icon and Michelle and I have lost a friend.  John spent his life breaking barriers, from defending our freedom as a decorated Marine Corps fighter pilot in World War II and Korea, to setting a transcontinental speed record, to becoming, at age 77, the oldest human to touch the stars.  John always had the right stuff, inspiring generations of scientists, engineers and astronauts who will take us to Mars and beyond--not just to visit, but to stay.  Today, the people of Ohio remember a devoted public servant who represented his fellow Buckeyes in the U.S. Senate for a quarter century and who fought to keep America a leader in science and technology.  Our thoughts are with his beloved wife Annie, their children John and Carolyn and the entire Glenn family.  The last of America's first astronauts has left us, but propelled by their example we know that our future here on Earth compels us to keep reaching for the heavens.  On behalf of a grateful nation, Godspeed, John Glenn.”

RIP.

Mitch McConnell Screwed America on Gun Control ... All In The Name Of The NRA

So, what did Mitch McConnell, who worships ate the altar of the NRA and keeps his permanently pursed lips pressed tightly to Wayne LaPierre’s sphincter, do in the days following the mass shooting in Orlando, in the days after that fifteen-hour filibuster to demand action on gun control, following that epic 26-hour Democratic sit-in, in regards to the news that ninety-percent of Americans, including Republicans, want some form of gun control?

Well, he covered his ass because it’s an election year and dead Americans don’t matter to Mitch McConnell as much as staying in office and cashing those Blood Checks from the NRA.

Yup, mere minutes after House Democrats ended their historic sit-in to demand that Speaker Paul Ryan allow a vote on gun control, Mitch McConnell let it be known that he was going to allow the Senate to vote on two gun control bills making it look like he was coming down on the side of humanity, of stopping this gun crazed lunacy in the country, of finally doing the right thing for We The People.

Except he didn’t; both bill failed, as McConnell had planned. Now he can shrug and say, “I tried,” and then go back to snogging LaPierre’s bunghole.

McConnell allowed the Senate to vote on Senator Susan Collins’ bipartisan version of the "no fly, no buy" terrorism watch list bill — which the NRA opposes — and he would allow a vote on Senator Ron Johnson’s NRA-endorsed bill; or, at least a bill the NRA didn’t “officially” endorse.

The Collins Bill would also mandate FBI notification if anyone who has been on the terror watch list within the past five years tried to purchase a firearm; the NRA calls that unconstitutional.

The Johnson Bill would mandate that the Department of Justice have a mere three days to find a reason to deny a gun purchase to someone who is or had been on the no fly or terror watch lists; after the wait, and considering no name on the list, the weapons could be purchased.

But since Mitch McConnell serves only Satan, er, Wayne LaPierre, he used a procedural tactic to assure the failure of both bills.

When Collins Bill survived an initial "test" vote — something it was not expected to do — McConnell swung into action and suddenly put both bill up together, thereby splitting the number of votes that the Collins bill could have gotten. And then to make it even more difficult, the Collins Bill vote was not to pass it, but to fail it; in effect, if you voted ‘Yes’ on the Collins Bill it was a vote to fail it.

Yes = Bad.
No = More NRA checks for Mitch McConnell.

The Collins bill got 52 votes, but not the 60 needed to pass, so the Senate, and Mitch McConnell, can say they tried, but the votes just aren't there.

They tried; the GOP tried. But, in effect, what they did was to make it look like they wanted some form of gun control, especially the part about allowing people on a terror watch list buy guns, but what they did was to make sure that fellow Republicans, and NRA goose-stepping, ass-kissing lapdogs, like Senators Ron Johnson, John McCain, Rob Portman, Richard Burr, Roy Blunt and Marco Rubio—who said he was done with the Senate when he was running for president but that was apparently a lie—are up for challenging reelection races this fall.

So, Mitch McConnell never wanted gin control; he wanted to make it look like he wanted gun control, and then he worked to make the NRA-opposed bill, the Collins Bill, fail, so he could save himself and the rest of his GOP cronies and their cushy jobs at the expense of dead Americans.

How you like the GOP now?

Well, then, Vote Them Out.
