I Didn't Say It

Jim McGovern, Democratic Rules Committee Vice Chair on The Felon’s Cabinet Junk Drawer picks:

“Isn’t that usually how things go in authoritarian dictatorships? Purge the military of anyone who might have a spine and refused to obey an unlawful order? I mean, what the hell is going on here? And their cabinet picks so far? I mean, these are like beyond insane. Someone who is credibly accused of having sex with an underage girl. Someone who sucks up to foreign dictators and has attracted major concern that they can’t be trusted to protect America’s secrets from our adversaries. Someone who paid hush money to cover up a sexual assault accusation, you know, to lead our military, he’s picked because [The Felon] likes him on Fox News? Someone who says that tap water turns kids gay? I mean, this is the dream team? This is the dream team? Really? I mean, seriously, it would be funny if it weren’t so sad. And hopefully, you United States Senate has a backbone and insists on a thorough confirmation process. Look, the truth is this. The truth is that this is not what people voted for … I’m reading the newspaper again this morning that they want to issue blank pardons to those who committed crimes on January 6th. Republicans call them ‘political prisoners.’ I mean, these are people who were arrested, indicted, tried, and convicted by juries and judges and courtrooms across this country for violently attacking our brave law enforcement officers people who smashed cops in the heads with metal barricades, who jammed them indoors until blood was coming out of their mouths. And the incoming administration is thinking about pardoning them. I do not believe any of what my Republican friends are talking about on the floor today is in line with what the American people voted for. They voted for cheaper groceries, not whatever the hell this stuff is. They are asking us to vote for a bill, my Republican friends, that we give the incoming administration the ability to revoke the nonprofit status of any advocacy group they want, just by labeling them as a ‘terrorist sympathizer.’ A bill that would give President-elect Trump a new power to just unilaterally accuse an American group of terrorism and then shut them down. My friends on the other side, they want to blame trans people. Guess what? Trans people aren’t the ones raising people’s grocery prices. Big corporations are. They wanna blame immigrants. And here’s the deal. Immigrants aren’t the ones denying health insurance claims … It’s the billion-dollar insurance companies that do that on a daily basis. And they want to blame woke this and woke that, what’s woke about thinking special interests should not be able to buy tax breaks?”

McGovern is new to me, but this is the Democratic party I want; stand up and speak up and tell the goddamned truth about The Felon and his so-called administration.

Kathleen Sebelius, former HHS secretary, on RFK Jr being nominated to head Department of Health and Human Services:

“I think that we’re talking about magnitudes of danger beyond erroneously making legal decisions. This is life or death. The HHS affects people from birth to their grave and is intimately connected with every state in the country. So this could be very dangerous. I think it’s totally disqualifying for anyone who seeks to lead the major health agency in this country and one of the leaders in the world to just unequivocally say there is no safe and effective vaccine. That in and of itself, from the bully pulpit of HHS, could end up killing people, could end up harming children. My grandson is too young to get a lot of vaccinations yet and having him exposed to unvaccinated people with polio and measles is a terrifying thought. Having eradicated those diseases as a major health initiative, I think this is absolutely terrifying and people should understand how serious it is.”

You let a man with zero actual medical knowledge, who drags dead bears to Central Park as some sort of joke, who cuts the head off a dead beached whale so he can take it home, who believes all vaccinations are unnecessary—maybe he should have gotten the Brain Worm Vax—run HHS and children will die, people will die.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., displaying his hypocrisy and lunacy:

“The stuff that [The Felon] eats is really, like, bad. Campaign food is always bad, but the food that goes onto that airplane is like just poison. You don’t have the choice, you’re either given KFC or Big Macs. That’s when you’re lucky and then the rest of the stuff I consider kind of inedible. And then he drinks Diet Coke.”

He looked pretty happy in that photo, munching down on McD’s so either he’s a liar or a lunatic or both.

Eminem, rapper and songwriter, on his politics:

"I am not a liberal snowflake. My feelings aren't fragile, my heart isn't bleeding. I am a badass believer in human rights. My toughness is tenderness. My strength is in the service of others. There is nothing more fierce than formidable, unconditional love. There is not a thing more courageous than compassion. But if my belief in equity, empathy, goodness, and love indeed makes me or people like me snowflakes, then you should know—WINTER IS COMING."

And snap!

There were, and continue to be, people who have their heads on straight. We need to listen to them, heed their words, and move forward. It;s the only way out of this clusterfuck. Oh yeah, RFK Jr can go stuff himself with Big Macs!

  10. im, Kathleen, and Eminem and speaking truth to power. I ask America what the hell are we doing.

I was just listening to NPR and they were discussing the government's vetting processes of Mussolini Don's cabinet picks. They were were saying the processes are not set in stone and he can move forward. What? Where are the folks standing in the breach. They concluded that the buck stops at the Senate. Truth be told things should of grounded to a halt way before then.

PS-Congratulations on paying of the homestead!!

  11. People are going to grow angrier and angrier as prices and unemployment continue to climb. Winter is coming, and Republicans who have demonstrated pure incompetence at governing, are going to be just incompetent when it comes to dealing with it.

  12. Wow! Eminem! Who knew?!

I haven't heard of Jim McGovern either (relative of George?) but he does speak the truth. I hadn't heard the conspiracy about tap water turning kids gay. I'm going to have to Google that.

Trump puts on red/orange makeup every day because he thinks it makes him look healthy...it doesn't, but it sure looks better than his ghastly natural pallor! RFK, Jr.'s face is red/orange leather because he is not smart enough to come in out of the sun or use sunscreen...even though those health tips have been understood for his lifetime! A man who clearly will die from preventable melanoma should not be in charge of our nation's health!! 🤬

  17. I like what Jim McGovern said, but he actually thinks the senate might have a backbone? The people who voted because they wanted lower prices for groceries are fine with deportations. In general, they hate gay and trans people. They don't like legal abortions because some women might use abortion as a birth control method. And they really don't think kids need all those vaccines. It's good for them to get childhood diseases and build up their immunity. Kids don't die from measles, they say. Wait until polio comes back. Wait until their grandchildren are raped and forced to give birth. Wait until someone who works for them is deported. Wait until a gay member of their family is attacked. Will that change their minds? I really don't know. Because they are that stupid.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. I think the more people like McGovern speak out, the stronger the Left will get. And, sad to say, I agree that a great many people will have to see their own family and friends ruined before they speak up.

RFK Jr is against vaccines and yet his own children are immunized.
A dangerous hypocrite to say the least. :(
And the rest of Trump’s picks, all unqualified filth.
