Leon and I are beyond sick with the news. And I don't think the full reality has hit me yet. The possible consequences are beyond dire. We must RESIST!

  7. This country is MUCH worse than I imagined. A convicted felon over a woman --- let's clarify that: A woman color.
And it's not just the POTUS, it's that they took the House and Senate, too.
So much of the world will be in mourning.

Physically sickening to me, he’ll self destruct and will take his acolytes and the rest of us with him. :(
As stated above, this will be bad on so many levels- domestic policies, foreign relations and we’ll be left with a very corrupt government and legal system. Social Security , Medicare and AHA will be on the chopping block, public schools and other public entities will be privatized and placed in corrupt hands, the environment will be in for worse damage, workers will have fewer rights, extremists in America, and the likes of Putin and Netanyahu will be emboldened leading to even more chaos, the world order will be disordered to America’s detriment, and our court systems at the local and state level will be as corrupt as the un-supreme court. Not to mention the likes of Musk, RFK Jr, Bannon, Boebert, Sheehy , Greene and others of their ilk will be around to cause even more destruction and division.

I just woke up (San Francisco time). A show of hands; how many of you are history buffs? It's 476AD all over again. Now I'm wondering how long fortress San Francisco can hold out against the Hun. The implications are daunting. Buckle up...

  19. I feel the same way!

I watched about five minutes of the election coverage last night. I just could not bear all the slicing and dicing. I told myself I would check in the morning. I rolled over and checked my phone for results around 5:00 AM. I could not believe what I was reading.

    I am numb and directionless.

Let's put Diaper Don aside for a moment. In hearing the post-mortem this morning-Denver time-I see the popular and electoral college is in his favor. What does that say about America? All the mishegoss about this man and the American people decided that this person needed to lead our country into the future for a second time. My heart aches for the American people,

Further, it appears as of this moment that the House and the Senate will be in the Republicans' favor. Coupled with the MAGA Supreme Court, we have a recipe for unchecked power. It's going to be hell. It's not a wait-and-see. We already know what will happen. Mussolini Don said so. Project 2025 declares it.

I believe Harris ran a great campaign. Oh sure, she could have done a few things differently. But a great campaign and on message. They say it is the masculine message that was not addressed. They say it is the Latino vote. They say it is the young people and them being transactional They say it is pocketbook issues. We could go on. The MSM is going to dissect this election every which way. I can't bear it. We are where we are. Maybe in two years, the Democrats will have the wind at their backs and the tide can change. My heart goes out to Kamala. She hit the ground running the last few months and gave it her best. To that, I say thank you to her and her team.

To the American people, I say this is what you chose. You have cut off your nose to despite your face. Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

  25. I couldn't watch the returns last night. This morning 2 things happened that helped me breathe again: the ACLU is already on the move to protect our rights and the MITM said over coffee, "Well, it's FAFO time now and I'm ready!" Dark days, sweetpea, are ahead for all of us! xoxo
