… that when I was at the
doctor’s recently the nurse asked me to step on the scale; I was told there’d
be no fact checking.
… that at my age getting
lucky means finding my car in the parking lot.
… that people don’t realize
that not only am I not a perfect person and I am also not trying to be a better
person.
… that I may look
normal, but I talk to myself and then
laugh afterwards.
… that when I see people arguing online I
automatically believe whomever is spelling correctly and using proper grammar.
… that the way I stay indoors
makes me feel like I’m becoming furniture.
… that I don’t like when
people ask what I did over the weekend. I don’t know! I breathed a lot. Probably
got mad a bit. Sighed heavily. The list goes on.
… that while I have a really
good heart and I also have a smart mouth and I’m a little bit mean.
… that nobody is busier than me when I am not interested in
you … “Let me close the fridge and I’ll
call you back.”
… that when I tell Alexa to remind me to go to the gym, she
says, ‘I have added gin to your shopping list’ and I think, ‘Close enough.’ |
You are so right ... pretty much everything you just said there:-)
ReplyDeleteWe're all more alike than we think!
DeleteIt's scary, Bob, that you know me so well!! When I call upon the aid of my better angels, the response is always, "and, you are...?" 🤨
ReplyDeleteMy better angel shrugs and sits back to watch.
DeleteI love Saturday morning with you! That last one is a keeper! 🤣
ReplyDeleteSometimes you gotta do what Alexa says!
Delete" ...people don’t realize that not only am I not a perfect person and I am also not trying to be a better person" Okay but what we really need to know Bob is this - Are you living your "best life"? I keep hearing that expression and wondering what the hell it means.
ReplyDeleteMy life as best I can???

Finding my car in the parking lot is my full-time job these days.
ReplyDeleteThat literally happened to me last night as we were leaving a restaurant. Thankfully I found the car!
DeleteTOO MANY of those resonate with me personally, lol!
ReplyDeleteYeah, we are all very much alike.
DeleteI don't know how you do it each week, but I laugh at several of these every time. The better person one truly resonates.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good one!
DeleteI just renewed by gin membership. And us? Mean? Nahhhhhhhh
ReplyDeleteI think we're truthful!
DeleteYeah, too many of theses fit me — I figure Karma’s just waiting for me!
ReplyDeleteI ain't scared'a her
DeleteThe one about spelling and grammar is not a silly one, and tells us why literacy is so important.
ReplyDeleteAh, but illiteracy is up there, too!
DeleteI became furniture when my grand daughters learned to crawl, I became a chair for them to sit on.
ReplyDeleteI was like that with our animals, too!
DeleteHa! I LOVE that last one!
