It appears Michael De Adder ran afoul of the right wing gnat brains who bought the Chronicle Herald.

Could be! But the Chronicle Herald has of revolving door of ownership over the last 7 years as a result of near bankruptcy and trying to wring the last bit of value out of it. Michael De Adder is great, but he's not the only great person who is going to suffer in the death spiral.

    2. It's just sad because he was doing his job for which he was hired, but the higher ups only want pro-Felon cartoonists.

    1. I'm not sure they are undecided, but just might not be answering the questions during the polling.

  4. I don't understand how any but the most braindead individuals can still be undecided!

    1. But if they're braindead they should be part of the Cult of Braindead!

  5. The comparisons to Hitler seemed extreme several years ago. They don’t seem so anymore. As for being undecided... Really?!?

    1. I agree, it's easy to play the Hitler card but it seems a bit more possible this election cycle.

  7. The thing is, Trump blames illegal immigrants, but his followers are also still blaming Jews with references to conspiracies and the Great Replacement and George Soros and all that. Anti-Semitism is as alive and well as ever within the Republican party.

It's a tough time to be an editorial cartoonist. Few papers have them anymore. They're seen as luxuries.

Hubby and I went to see “The Apprentice” movie yesterday. Early showing; few people there; but, all of us laughed at the appropriate times so I imagine there were no MAGAts in the house. I recommend the movie because you should see Jeremy Strong’s performance as Cohn…Wow! 👏 The rest of the movie is what you expect. A stoopid man with an out-sized ego and a need to be seen and accepted is destined to be a failure until…an evil presence sees a soul he can easily purchase! Thanks a lot, Roy!! 🤬🤬 I warn you, though, the movie is very hard to watch…psychologically and physically, it will make you ill from watching the rise of this THING THAT WOULDN’T DIE! 🤢🤮 [Dear Secret Service: that is not a threat…it’s a SciFi reference!! 😱]

Former president $$ -- very appropriate to point out how he has monetized everything. We cannot let him lie his way back into the White House! Vote!!

  10. The last one is so dead on. All my friends who live in other countries can not believe how anyone in this country can by undecided at this point. We're truly becoming a laughing stock. Heavens help us Harris doesn't win. Then we will be hated for sure.

    1. I have a hard time believing anyone is undecided. I think they know, they just don't want to say ... and I don't believe in polls anyway!

  11. Vance's mascara applicator and the Constitution would be hilariously funny, if it weren't true. And sorry to read the news about Michael de Adder, one of Canada's best political cartoonists. Print journalism in our country is damn near dead now because all advertising has gone online. I'm sure the Halifax Chronicle Herald, like so many of our city newspapers, is on its last legs.

Trumpy is just about ready to be fitted for his straight jacket by the boys in white coats from Bellevue :)
First for a mental evaluation at Bellevue and then incarceration on Rykers Island.

  15. Michael de Adder got fired for that cartoon? Shame on them. The cartoon states the truth, is that what they fear? I wish the fat one could really be in a straightjacket in a rubber room.

  17. WTH, de Adder was fired by a Canadian newspaper for a cartoon about the US election? I see it was recently purchased by Postmedia, which explains the firing...that group is buying up majority stakes in nearly every market in order to control the message.
Hitler, perhaps, though I can't see IQ45 ever committing suicide over his crimes. More likely, if the Bible is correct, the Anti-Christ.
