Bobservations

This past Sunday Carlos and I went to a concert in the park in  Camden and before we left I prepared everything to cook dinner once we  got home.

After the concert, which was good and it was a gloriously sunny cool day, we returned home and I set about cooking dinner. I served it and as we ate Carlos said:

“This is good.”

And I responded as I usually do:

“I know.”

That line slays; but I digress. After dinner, clearing the plates, Carlos asked what I called the dinner and I told him I didn’t know. It was a recipe I made up in my head and:

“We’ve had this before.”

“I know but my mother likes to know what we cook and so I wanted to tell her about this and  I don’t know what to call it.”

“Oh, um, call it Chorizo-Potato Hash, I guess.”

“What kind of meat is in it?”

“Chorizo.”

“I know but is there ground turkey in it.”

“No just Chorizo.”

“So no meat?”

“Chorizo is meat. What are you asking?”

“The kind of meat in—

“It’s chorizo. You know chorizo, you got me hooked on it. You grew up on it. Your mother cooked with it. It’s meat.”

“But is there ground turkey, too?”

At that point I took the frying pan from the stove and clocked him in the head. He gets it now.

This Tuxedo and Memory, also featuring his BFF Max Goldberg. is from August 2011

'WTF? It's Monday And I'm As Happy As A Basket Of Cats

Except these two don't look so happy.......'

I don’t even know what they were looking at but whatever it was it clearly it intrigued the Boys.

Continuing her history of championing utterly pointless measures that literally no one asked for, Arkansas governor, and Mr-Former-Fake-One-Term-Twice-Impeached-Currently-Four-Time-Criminally-Indicted-Not-My-President-Gurl’s liar,  Sarah Huckleberry Sanders has banned “woke” language from state documents.

You cannot use gender neutral language—Aunt Lydia calls it “exclusionary and sexist”—like “pregnant people,” “chestfeeding,” and “womxn,” which the order says should be replaced with “pregnant women,” “breastfeeding,” and “women.” During the signing, Sanders was asked why this was so urgent and how many times the banned terms had been used in Arkansas legislation and she replied:

“Does it matter if there’s one? Is that not enough? I’m not keeping a running tally, but I have seen one specific instance and we’ve had a number of other instances that have been reported to our office.”

She’s seen one instance. It sounds to me like Governor Sister Wife is ignorant and butt-hurt.

Maybe Tennessee is changing, or maybe the town of Franklin is just saying, “We’re not like the rest of the state.’

Franklin, Tennessee voters have resoundingly rejected Gabrielle Hanson for mayor, after it became known that she openly embraced white supremacists and Christian nationalism.

It feels strange to say that a racist and faux Christian bigot was kicked to the curb in 2023 … 1923, maybe, but 2023?

As I said at the beginning, Carlos and I went to a concert in the park last Sunday, but while driving though the Historic District of Camden, we passed a house that had been surrounded by huge hedges, overgrown shrubbery, and large trees for years—see above.

But I noticed that the hedges were gone and so as we left the concert I went back up the street and found the house that had been hidden from view for so long.

Stunning, and quite large and rather old, but someone bought it and cleaned it up and turned it back to its original showgirl’s glory; it still has the original entry gate seen at the far right.

This week, still unable to agree on a Speaker, House Republicans shouted down a reporter’s question about their newly chosen speaker-designate, Louisiana Congressman Mike Johnson.

He was asked about his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election and ignored the question while That Bitch, North Carolina’s lunatic GOP Represenyative Virginia Foxx yelled:

“Shut up! Shut up!”

That’s the GOP; they do nothing, can’t agree on anything, and don’t answer questions.

This is San Francisco 49er defensive end Nick Bosa, the new model for the SKIMS men’s underwear brand from Kim Kardastrophe. But this isn’t about her, it’s about the 6’4” twenty-six-year-old hunk and … Would You Hit It?

  2. You should have just said "chorizo is a sausage made without turkey." The rejection for Hanson was pretty overwhelming. That house is spectacular. Ginny Fox is an old bat waiting to die. And the big question about Nick is... would he hit back.

    1. Apparently Nick's a MAGAt so I might only hit him with my car.

  3. I have watched sausage being made, you don't want to know what is in the chorizo, but it is good. Can we see more of the the underwear model?

  4. I laughed at your Carlos story! I'm glad someone renovated the house, and I have nothing good to say about Sarah Sanders. I do, however, have good things to say about Nick Bosa.

    1. Meals are always a good time at our house.
I was thrilled that not only did someone renovate it, but cleaned up all the old tress and the twelve+ foot high hedges so you can see it.

  5. How can anyone behave like that Fox woman (she's certainly no lady)? It's just pig ignorant and that's being rude to pigs. As for all those "moderate" Repugnants choosing an election denier as speaker of the house....I'm glad the Democrats didn't have to sully themselves dealing with them.

  6. Does anyone, ANYONE at all, give Christianity a GOOD name? Cheeses! Now the latest Mr Speaker is a 'creationist' (and climate-change denier. 'God's will!') among ALL the rest of it - and so effing much of it too! Is there somebody out there who'll comfort those many of us in utter despair?

    1. I keep looking for that elusive "good" Christian but it's a rare, perhaps endangered, breed.

  7. Ok, so Nick: I think on paper he looks like I'd let him hit it mercilessly but he's a MAGAt and most probably a bigot. Would I fuck a MAGAt? No.They deserve no pleasure.

I cackled with the chorizo story. And I love that he uses that kind of loving minutia to keep her mum up to date on the Bobcar story.

And that new speaker of the house? I have opinions. And none of them is good... What were good were Jenna's crocodile tears.

    XOXO

    1. I'll hit Nick with a bat.
His mother always asks what we're eating, and then offers up some of her own recipes, most of which are delicioso!
The new Speaker is a pig.
Jenna's a little bitch who'll make someone a good wife on the cell block.

  9. Keep sharing the Paul Rudnick tweets, he's hilarious!
Huckabee is a lot like our provincial premier. So far in the fall legislature, his party has approved a bill that won't allow teachers to call children under the age of 16 by their preferred names and pronouns without parental consent. It's all about "parental rights". Teachers are required to seek consent, and if the child is worried about their parent's reaction, then they are to refer the child to the school counsellor. Coming up next, I'm sure, is requiring the counsellors to advise the parents when their child attends to them. This all came about because he received 18 letters, only 7 of which were from parents in Saskatchewan, and there is no indication any of them have children of an age to be impacted by this law.
Another proposed (and soon to be law) is requiring all businesses to permit their employees to wear poppies on Remembrance Day. Not that anyone has complained...at least not that we know if yet.
Thank goodness for Carlos, he provides a good amount of levity.

That name calling nonsense is happening here, too, which would have meant that I could not have been 'Bob' in school because my birth name is Robert. That's how stupid these laws are.
Carlos is always funny and fun!

  10. A few thoughts:
*Carlos can do no wrong. We have learned this quickly. I would just roll with it.
*Franklin, TN said enough is enough. Others in and out of Congress should take note. It's easy. Just speak. Loudly!!
*I love what they have done with the historic home. I feel like the home can now breath and show its true self once again. I have seen many homes in Denver the same way. Over the years they have overgrown shrubs and trees.
*Mike Johnson and his elk. Buckle up. It's going to get bumpy. Are we starting a pool that Mike can make it into the new year as House Speaker?
*Jenna her blonde, don't match the drapes, hair, and white women tears. I loved it when she prefaced her statement as being a Christian. I see what she did there. It still amazes me that folks are willing to throw their lot in with P01135809 to the point of severe adverse affects-jobs, law degrees, families...
*Nick is a looker. If he would have me, I would not turn down a cuddle. I will let him take the lead.

    1. SPEAK UP is correct.
I don't know who bought that house but love that they are letting it be seen.
Mike will hopefully be out of a job come 2025.
Jenna is that whiny little bitch traitor who went along with the boys because she wants to be liked and then when she got arrested and they all asked, "Jenna who?" she cried and stomped her feet and lipped like a grilled cheese.
I have learned that Nick is a MAGAt so I won't hit except with a blunt object.

  11. There's ground turkey in it and you won't admit it, you bastard. Carlos is the one I REALLY love. He knows ground turkey when he tastes it. You'd better not be rude to my Carlos. I'd love to see the interior of the house. I still don't want to hit it and don't want anyone else. It's a long dry spell.

    Love,
    Janie

  12. I'm still laughing about "But is there ground turkey in it?" I'm focusing on 2 things: 1.Mikey can't pass laws and 2. this session of Congress ends on Jan.3 and the certification of the Presidential election takes place on Jan. 6th and he will not be presiding over that event! xoxo

  13. I commented yesterday but don’t know what happened to it. One thing I had said was I’d hit Nick if he’d take off that stupid underwear. However, since reading that he’s a MAGAt, I’d rather hit him with something else.
