When I was in university, in my accounting classes, there was a lot of discussion about how to measure the value of workers/employees for a business. Of course, we were only talking about how to record that value on a balance sheet, but there was never any consensus. Nor was there any talk that workers/employees should be fairly compensated for their efforts.

The thing about Aldean is that he's a very limited artist: his songs seem to have been written by AI and his charisma is null. His ode to grievances style will get him just so far. Will he have rubes buying his shitty records? Most probably. Will he ever be as successful as Mellencamp? No.

I think some business owners think workers/employees are a dime a dozen so they have no real, value. That's a shame.
