Why Is It ...

… that people need to accept what’s good in their lives … like me, I’m a f*cking delight.

… that we all have that one friend that we literally have to tell them to ‘be nice’ before we introduce them to a new person; or is that just directed at me.

… that sometimes I want to call into work and say, ‘My mom said I can’t come.’

… that no one realizes that I don’t care if I’m not their cup of tea; I’d rather be gasoline and set shiz on fire.

… that when someone asks me how I sleep at night knowing there are some people out there that don’t like me, I say, ‘I sleep with no underwear on in case they want to kiss me ass.’

… that people need to learn that it’s really important, especially in the morning, to shut up.

… that with so many things coming back into style, I cannot wait until morals and intelligence start trending again.

… that more water you drink, the more bathroom breaks, the lest you work so stay hydrated and follow me for more work tips.

… that one of my hobbies is having no time for bullsh*t

… that the other day Carlos turned to me and said, ‘I was talking to you and you yawned six times. Am I boring you?” And I said, ‘Those weren’t yawns, they were six unsuccessful attempts to speak.’

I Didn't Say It ...

Jacob Frey, Minneapolis Mayor, a voice of reason after the shooting in his town this week:

“I have heard about a whole lot of hate that’s being directed at our trans community. Anybody who is using this as an opportunity to villainize our trans community, or any other community out there, has lost their sense of common humanity. We should not be operating out of a place of hate for anyone. We should be operating from a place of love for our kids. Kids died today. This needs to be about them. This needs to be wrapping our arms around these families with every bit of love that we can possibly show. And I know that our Minneapolis family and well beyond is prepared to do exactly that. And so, my message to everyone out there is, again, these families are experiencing some acute pain right now; but don’t just think of these as somebody else’s kids. Think of your own. Let’s make sure that we’re acting now to not just say it’s never happening again, but ensure it doesn’t.”

The right wants to paint the entire trans community based on the deeds of one man so let’s do that … think of all the white straight men who shot up schools and churches and stores and theaters and concert and start looking at the white men who shoot more often than any trans person.

Gavin Newsom, Democrat California Governor, on The Felon trying to steal the White House for a third term:

“You think people actually think this guy’s serious about having another election? You think he’s joking about 2028? I don’t think Donald Trump wants another election. He showed me a painting. He said, ‘Turn around.’ And I said, ‘Oh, there’s FDR.’ And I went, ‘Of course.’ And he goes, he said, ‘What do you mean?’ I said, ‘I know exactly what you mean.’ And then he went on and on about the third term. He has the largest private police force in the world. All that funding allows more resources for this private police force that increasingly is showing a tendency not to swear an oath to the Constitution, but to the president of the United States. And he’ll be sending them to voting booths and polling places all across this country. You’ve seen it. He tried to steal the last election. He’s trying to rig it in plain sight this time. He wants to get rid of vote-by-mail. He’s talking about eliminating voting machines he doesn’t like. He’s setting up the contours where he can declare a declaration of emergency for anything. ‘Just cause’ means whatever he just said on Truth Social. Wake up, everybody! Wake up! I know it’s impolite. ‘We have to be more calm and demure.’ But I’m not calm and I’m not going to submit myself to niceties, not when this guy has tried to wreck our goddamn country.”

This is why we stand up and shout; why we march every single time we’re asked; and why we vote.

If we stop doing any of this we’ll get The Felon again and have no one but ourselves to blame.

SHOUT!! MARCH!!! CAST A GODDAMNED VOTE!!!!

Maura Healey, Democrat Governor of Massachusetts, the first out lesbian governor in America, on signing the Shield Act 2.0 into law:

“Massachusetts will always be a state where patients can access high-quality health care and providers are able to do their jobs without government interference. From the moment Roe was overturned, we stepped up to pass strong protections for patients and providers, and with President [Cankles] and his allies continuing their assaults on health care, we’re taking those protections to the next level. No one is going to prevent the people of Massachusetts from getting the health care they need.”

Shield Act 2.0 further strengthens protections for patients and providers of reproductive healthcare, while explicitly mandating that abortions be performed when deemed medically necessary. The state's original shield law, enacted by Democratic Governor Charlie Baker in July 2022, prohibits states that have banned the life-saving treatment from punishing those who travel to Massachusetts to receive it by preventing the release of information or the arrest and extradition of someone based on another state's court orders.

The Resistance at work.

Demetre Daskalakis, doctor and now former CDC Chief,  resigning with a scathing letter for The Felon and RFK:

“I am unable to serve in an environment that treats CDC as a tool to generate policies and materials that do not reflect scientific reality and are designed to hurt rather than to improve the public’s health. Having to retrofit analyses and policy actions to match inadequately thought-out announcements in poorly scripted videos or page long X posts should not be how organizations responsible for the health of people should function. I am not sure who the Secretary is listening to, but it is quite certainly not to us at the CDC. Unvetted and conflicted outside organizations seem to be the sources HHS use over the gold standard science of CDC and other reputable sources. The Felon and RFK Jr's] desire to please a political base will result in death and disability of vulnerable children and adults. Their base should be the people they serve, NOT a political voting bloc."

This isn’t just a resignation—it’s a heroic moral stand. Daskalakis—and let me go shallow for a moment because he is a hot gay bald man—is refusing to be complicit in a politicized dismantling of public health and so he is standing up for the American people in the face of The Felon and The Brain-Wormed Heroin Addict and their relentless attacks on science and sound medical advice.

And there’s more: Dr. Daskalakis's resignation follows the ousting of CDC Director Susan Monarez who had been in the job for weeks and fired after refusing to back RFK Jr.’s anti-science policies.

Bobservations

The other day we stopped to wash the car and after getting her bathed we stopped to vacuum her out and wipe down the interior and doors etc. I vacuumed and Carlos wiped the water spots as a car pulled into the stall next to us.

Carlos stepped away from our car and nudged the door of the other car and started to wipe it off thinking it was our car and the lady came up to him:

“What are you doing?”

“I’m sorry?”

“Get your hands off my car. Watch what you’re doing?”

“Sorry.” I said. “ He’s legally blind. He thought it was our car.”

“Still, he should watch what he’s doing.”

“Again, he’s legally blind so he could not see that it wasn’t our car.”

“Well, he should pay attention—"

“You know WHO should pay attention? The person screaming at a blind man for touching her car door when, if you opened your eyes, you might notice the white cane he uses to get around.”

“I didn’t see it.”

“Well, then maybe you should get your eyes checked … unless you’re legally blind, too.”

And this again proves my point about why I do not like people.

This is Tuxedo from March 2021 …

Everybody knows you cannot be a Christian and a Republican at the same time; even a cat.

Also, if you’re a Republican that doesn’t automatically mean you’re racist, but if you’re racist, you’re clearly a Republican.

The top four states for murder rates in the country are Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and Missouri, so why isn’t The Felon sending the National Guard there?

Oh, Red States, yeah. But, then I realized he’s killing off his own supporters and now I’m not so mad at it.

Another shooting … this time in Minnesota … thoughts and prayers and just another day in the United States of Guns where:

Guns are banned in Congress. Guns are banned at all The Felon’s properties. Guns are banned at NRA events. Guns are banned at GOP events. Guns are banned at CPAC.

But … guns are not banned at schools or churches or shopping malls or movie theaters or concerts when your safety is in question.

Think about that.

Chester Nez, the last of the original Navajo Code Talkers passed away recently at the age of 93.

The Code Talkers' language was based on unwritten Native American languages, most famously Navajo, which were used to create an unbreakable military code that America used in both WWI and WWII. The languages were effective because they were spoken by few people and were completely unknown to enemy forces.

Thank you for your service. RIP.

One thing to remember … if you join the ICEstapo  in 2025 then you absolutely would have joined the Nazis in 1935.

That’s all.

And speaking of ICE … a special shout out to white women in California who have been putting Mexican flag stickers on their cars to bait the ICEstapo into profiling them.

They keep getting pulled over and wasting the ICEstapo’s time.

Once again, it seems to be the women doing the resisting. We ought to try electing one president …

Architecture Wednesday: Casona 59

Although a home in Merida, Mexico, the renovation reflects the Belle Époque for French art in its balustrades, irregular wall finishes, and arches throughout. The idea of the renovation of Casona59 was to preserve the spirit and memory of the building, restoring the cedar wood doors and windows, removing several layers of paint from the walls revealing old times and colors, and remodeling the bathrooms so that the “new” elements were placed in such a way that they did not touch the original walls of the house to maintain a respect for the old building. While the existing spaces changed their functions, the kitchen was restored in the original space and new areas such as swimming pool, terraces, garage and bathrooms were added.

There are two ensuite bedrooms, the primary with a walk-through closet, as well as a living area, central sitting room, dining room, and kitchen with large pantry. Outside is a covered terrace and a small pool in the central courtyard … a whole design to enjoy the benefits of the sky, the sun, the light, the shadow and the visuals.

And it’s in Merida, one of the most beautiful spots on Earth.
